Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

There’s a pub in Ireland that’s been running for more than 1,100 years! Sean’s Bar in Athlone in Ireland has been open for business since about 900 AD, with records of every owner of the pub since its founding. While surprising at first, it makes sense that it has stood the test of time. Sean’s Bar is in the middle of a town that’s pretty much smack-bang in the center of Ireland. Source: The Fact Site

  1. We traveled through Ireland many years ago…..friendly people everywhere but you could count on finding friends in every little establishment like this in every little town. Always a warm welcome.

    Hugs, Pam

  2. The amazing stories Sean’s Bar could tell. A credit to their care of their history that the building looks so well-maintained too. Thank you, Sandee, and happy Wordless Wednesday. Much love and hugs to you, dear friend.

  3. OH how happy it makes me to read about Sean’s and that the value of it as it was originally built is treasured. I love the outside colors
    Hugs cecilia

  4. That looks like a cute place. Mom is half irish and would love to go to Ireland, but at her age she knows it isn’t going to happen. Thanks for linking us up and visiting. • I would love to visit there too, but we don’t travel anymore either. Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and a big hug to you. 🙂

  5. How cool that that pub has been there so long! It’s also interesting that the concept of the pub has been around that long, and in many ways hasn’t changed much 😺🍻

  6. Incredible old this place. And it looks so … young!
And inside is very beautiful. Thank you for this presentation, dear Sandee.
Happy WW and a fine week! Love and joy!❤️😘

  7. That is amazing that the pub has been there for so long.
I intended posting today, even sorted out my photos, then completely forgot about it. Immunotherapy gives me brain fog and it is so annoying.
