Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
Thoughts on Getting Older:
I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People get out of the way much faster now.
Gone are the days when girls used to cook like their mothers. Now they drink like their fathers.
You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone? That’s common sense leaving your body.
I didn’t make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.
I decided to stop calling the bathroom the “John” and renamed it the “Jim”. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
Old age is coming at a really bad time.
When I was a child I thought “Nap Time” was a punishment. Now, it feels like a small vacation.
The biggest lie I tell myself is, “I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it.”
Teach your daughter how to shoot, because a restraining order is just a piece of paper.
If God wanted me to touch my toes, He would’ve put them on my knees.
Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven’t met yet.
Why press one for English just to be transferred to someone I can’t understand anyway?
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice.
At my age “Getting lucky” means walking into a room and remembering why I came in.

Love them all. I think my favorite is the support group for procrastinators. I've heard that one used for introverts too.
I'm in that group. I love old folks' stuff. 🙂
These are good and funny my fave is Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice. and the last one I do that all the time haha!
Have an ageingtastic sss 🙂
Sometimes that's the only place you can get expert advice. You have an ageingtastic Silly Sunday too, Steve. 🙂
I like them all. I would also like to join the support group for procrastinator.
It's a fun group. No pressure at all. 🙂
Heeheehee! One of the things i've learned at my age is i should never pass up the opportunity to use the rest room or take a nap. Have a blessed and beautiful Sunday!
I've been there for years. You're a smart woman. You have a blessed and beautiful Sunday too. 🙂
Funny, but some are getting too close to home.
I agree Joe, way too close to home and some have moved in. 🙂
Those are all just too funny. I had to laugh out loud. Love the one about talking to one's self to get expert advise. Sandee, you and Zane have a fine day.
You have to get a certain age before some of these even make sense. If we can't laugh at ourselves then shame on us. 🙂
Those are great. I think I will rename my bathroom Jim too 🙂
That one is brilliant. 🙂
I forgot what I was going to say.
You are never at a loss for words. I'm surprised. 🙂
Getting old is tough. I woke up with a headache today. I don't even drink. Ah well.
Wow, that's talented, Timothy. 🙂
Press one for English….that's a great one! Have a lovely day with Zane!
We are having a lovely day. Just got home from our cruise. Had tons of fun. 🙂
That first one had me laughing so hard, Sandee, and the rest kept me laughing! Thank you so much for sharing, and I hope you have a great day! 😀
I'm glad you found them funny. Some of them aren't so funny when they are happening though. 🙂
Growing old is not for the weak…loved them all.
You're right about that, Jan. 🙂
These are the ones that refer to me Sandee.
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice.
At my age "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering why I came in.
Have a beautiful evening my friends. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
Yep, I can relate to those as well. You have a beautiful evening too. 🙂
Bwahaaaaaaa!!!!!
You sound like me, Mike. 🙂
I can rate to these 🙁
Getting old isn't for the weak of heart. 🙂
Hi Sandee, this did make me laugh as I've just finished writing a list of all the things I keep meaning to do on the blog but keep forgetting! I would happily tell the world I've been to the Jim several times today!
xx
I forget more than I remember. Oh well. 🙂
Oh gosh the gym one. That is so me. I am still sporting my yoga pants like a boss though 🙂
I'm pretty bad about the gym too. I've always got one excuse or another. 🙂
It's always a bad time for old age.
It sure is, Binky, but the alternative isn't good. I'll take the old age. 🙂
