Schindler’s List is a 1993 American epic historical drama film directed and produced by Steven Spielberg and written by Steven Zaillian. It is based on the 1982 novel Schindler’s Ark by Thomas Keneally. The film follows Oskar Schindler, a German industrialist who saved more than a thousand mostly Polishโ€“Jewish refugees from the Holocaust by employing them in his factories during World War II. It stars Liam Neeson as Schindler, Ralph Fiennes as SS officer Amon Gรถth, and Ben Kingsley as Schindler’s Jewish accountant Itzhak Stern.

Principal photography took place in Krakรณw, Poland, over 72 days in 1993. Spielberg shot in black-and-white and approached the film as a documentary. Cinematographer Janusz Kamiล„ski wanted to create a sense of timelessness. John Williams composed the score, and violinist Itzhak Perlman performed the main theme. Source: Wikipedia

Again a movie I have not seen. I am not sure in the present days
I’ll do this, but who knows!
Wow, this time in the like area, I saw my small image. What a huge surprise!

I love your October header. I have not seen this movie. I saw Holocaust and it gave me nightmares for years so I won’t ever see this. Thank you for hosting. Have a nice day. XO

I agree with you, Patrick. It’s a piece of history that should be front and center so it’s never repeated. Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. ๐Ÿ™‚

Guess what quick dial McGraw aka me won tickets to see that movie back when it first came out.
There was a call in to the radio station. I had years of practice with quick dialing. Won lots of 45 records as a teenager doing the same thing.
    We enjoyed the movie.
    Hugs Cecilia

  5. Gattina says:

I haven’t seen the film, but I knew the whole story, it surprised me that only after the book was written and even more when the film came out people started to talk about him, I thought he wasn’t honored enough, he was such a humble man, without the film many Germans would never have heard of him.

  6. The OP Pack says:

Mom says it has been many years since she saw Schindler’s List but it was an amazing movie. She and Dad should watch it again.

I caught the movie when it first came out and didnโ€™t really appreciate it at the time. However, when I watched it again last year, I found it incredibly poignant and deeply moving, showcasing the strength of the human spirit.

    Happy Thursday, Sandee!

  8. Pamela A Jackson says:

I have never seen that movie…..however, I read a book in the 70s, Salems Lot which I loved and I remember having a hard time putting it down. I watched the 1970s movie of it and the newer one yesterday, I rather stick with the book
