Your MMMM hostess is Cathy of Curious as a Cathy.
Every other week we have a suggested music theme to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts. Themes aren’t mandatory to gain access to the dance floor but failure to meet the basic guideline (post must contain music) puts your URL in danger of being labeled – NO MUSIC.
This week’s theme if you’d like pick your favorite rock band/song from any decade. As always, have fun.
“Guilty” is a vocal duet between Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb. The song was written by all three Bee Gees: Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb. Released as a single from Streisand’s 1980 album of the same name, “Guilty” peaked at No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 5 on the adult contemporary chart. In the UK, the song reached No. 34 on the UK Singles Chart. The single was certified gold by the RIAA. In addition, “Guilty” won a Grammy Award in the category Best Pop Vocal Performance, Duo or Group. The song also appeared on the 2001 Bee Gees compilation, Their Greatest Hits: The Record. There is also a version by Tom Jones and Gladys Knight. Source: Wikipedia
Playing this great song, and remembering that era. Thanks for the memories.
I so loved this duet. You’re most welcome. 🙂
We remember that song. Such a talented duet! We never knew Tom Jones and Gladys Knight covered itm, too. Wow!
A talented duet indeed. I didn’t know about Tom Jones and Gladys Knight doing this song either. Happy week, my friend. 🙂
I just listened to the Tom Jones/Gladys Knight version of “Guilty.” I liked it almost as much as the more familiar Barbra Streisand/Barry Gibb one. 🙂
I remember the 80s well I also remember buying this album and playing a lot on our, then very modern , music centre 💜💜💜
I had this album too. I love Barbra and Barry very much. Happy week. 🙂
I couldn’t remember the song until I heard it.
I’d not heard it in a very long time. Happy week, my friend. Scritches to Gibbs. 🙂
I love this song! Thank you for reminding me of it. 🙂

You’re most welcome, Cathy. Can’t wait to hear about your vacation. Hugs. 🙂
I’m so surprised that I had never heard this song. I loved it, which isn’t surprising given who wrote it and Barry Gibb performing in this duo. Great pick, and loved that you joined up with us this week. You are welcome any time! Alana ramblinwitham
I’ve always loved this duet. Great voices. I need to participate more. I’ll try. Now that we don’t have boats anymore I really don’t have any excuses. 🙂
I haven’t heard this song in so long. I like it more now than when it came out:)
