It’s Wednesday so that means it’s question time. It’s time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We’d all like that.
Here’s this weeks question: Do you stick to a plan or do you often change your mind before putting your plan into motion?
Not always, last week we were looking at a new boat. This week we have come to the conclusion to remodel our boat. It’s in great running shape even though it’s 15 years old. So, we’re going to spruce her up and keep her. She needs the carpets gone and replace with hardwood floors. Teak the bridge and swim platform, and replace the seating in the cockpit. Way cheaper isn’t it.
Hi Sandee, I do make plans, most times I stick to my plans but there are times I changed my plans. Have a great day!
We usually stick to our plans, but when it involves a lot of money we start looking at other options. 🙂
I sometimes make plans but unfortunately rarely stick to them and chop and change all the time heheh!
Have a plantastic day & good luck with refurbishing your boat :-h
As long as you're happy with the end result then all is well. 🙂
I think I am a flexible person, even if I have plans..I can change if needed too. I love to see your boat someday!! She must be pretty!
If you're ever in the central valley of California you can. And we can have a cruise and have a great weekend. 🙂
On this subject my motto is "Always have a plan… but always be prepared to change it." We bought another house about 3 months ago and we still aren't sure if we'll move into it, rent it or sell it.
I can't wait to see what we do. 😀 lol.
Have a marvelous day! xoxo
You'll figure it out. We have to be flexible. It's essential as we age. 🙂
I usually stick to a plan but there are times when I change my mind. I think that is a great idea to fix up the boat. After all you are good friends with that boat. And besides it will be fun to have everything just like you want it to be.Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit have a super day.
It's mechanically sound so what's the point. It will cost a fraction to remodel the boat. A fraction. 🙂
Coming from a construction industry background, even the most complete set of plans and specifications are ALWAYS modified during construction to address real life problems. Everything doesn't fit exactly the way it was designed. I usually put my plan into motion after several rounds of fine tuning. Still, the plan may be modified to suit the real life circumstances during implementation. There must always be a "Plan B", because "Plan A" is never flawless.
That's exactly what we found out here. There were too many cons and not enough pros. 🙂
This is how I plan. "Hey Kare, what are we doin today?"
Well there you go. Sometimes not planning is the best. 🙂
I change my mind frequently til I think I'm satisfied
g-)
Works for me Michelle. It's the satisfied part that's the most important. 🙂
🙂 🙂 🙂
Once I finalise a plan I stick to it without any change in the normal course. I take the consent of people concerned beforehand. In this process finalisation takes more time.
Have a great day!
Making everyone as happy as possible is a good thing too. 🙂
I plan on something but tend to change it often until I'm satisfied and even then I don't even do it. Oh well, that's life.
Have a memorable Wednesday Sandee. I think the changes that you & Zane plan on doing for your yacht. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
You sound like hubby. He does the same thing. I just go along with him. 🙂
I do a mixture of both, but lately, it seems more planning than usual just so I can have a list, or something in writing to remember.
Yep, planning is important. Impulsive stuff can be very deadly and most of all costly. 🙂
I am not one that likes anything to be too rigid. I believe things happen for a reason, so while I do have a "plan", I am open to wiggle room. One of my favorite quotes is "We plan and God laughs" Have a wonderful day! xoxoxoxo
Wiggle room is a great idea. You need to be flexible enough for wiggle room. 🙂
Stay flexible. That's the plan. It works. Great idea to rehab the boat you have and love. Way cheaper! Smart.
Big hugs, honey…
It's the way cheaper that finally brought us to our senses. Why have debt if you don't need to have debt. Debt free rocks. 🙂
Hello, my name is Sandy, and I am a list maker, planner, to do, mark off person, lol. I need help! I plan everything and usually stick to it unless circumstances come along that can't be prevented. I am also a great saver and have an envelope for everything- birthdays- Christmas- emergency…. I have been a list maker since I was a teen. There is just something about marking things off the list that I enjoy. Have an awesome flexible day.
I didn't know this about you and I've known you for a very long time. How you do this is most wise. Good for you. 🙂
I make plans but when needed I change as necessary.

First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.
– Napoleon Hill
Have a beautiful and imaginative day!
Karren
Love the quote Karren. It's spot on. 🙂
Yes much cheaper and just as nice 🙂
Perhaps better because there is no debt. 🙂
The important ones I stick to, but life is best met with an attitude that changes are inevitable, so I had better roll with them as they come!
Yep, you're right about rolling with them as they come. 🙂
We often change our minds about big decisions- especially those involving large amounts of money!
That's what happened with us Kathe. It's fun to dream, but in reality we don't need that kind of debt. 🙂
Yes … c-)
I figured that's what you would say. 🙂
I usually stick to my plan.
Some folks get it right the first time. We rarely do. 🙂
I didn't say it was the right plan!
Then I guess we're on the same page here. 🙂
I like to "live in the moment" so sometimes I don't even make plans. However, being the punctual person that I am, when it comes to work or organizing, I do stick to my plans, this way I make sure that I get done the things I need to do. 🙂
We rarely do anything spur of the moment anymore. We are so busy it just never happens. I miss that spur of the moment stuff. 🙂
I make plans and usually stick to them but I allow myself to be flexible so they are subject to change. How exciting you'll be fixing up your boat! It'll be just like new!
Happy Wednesday Sandee! Smooches to Little Bit!
It will be just like new. New flooring, new stateroom, new seats and the list goes on and on and the price is way down. 🙂
Plans are flexible, have to be, there are too many variables.
The more we looked at this the more variables we found. We reached the right decision. 🙂
I try to stick to a plan but more often than not I don't and then I get mad at myself for not following it.
I've done that a time or two too. I get angry with myself too. 🙂
I always stick to the plan, Usually the first thoughts are the rights ones!
Some folks just get it right the first time. 🙂
I usually stick to my plans. It might take me a while to form one thought.
We all do it a bit differently. Whatever works is a good thing. 🙂
I do a little of both, depending. Good luck w/your remodel!
That's what we did and our final plan saves a ton of money. 🙂
I stick to a plan 🙂

Sticking to a good plan rocks. 🙂
What's a plan? I am not really that bad, but we rarely stick to plans – actually, we make them flexible. Even travel, we stay longer, leave early or go somewhere else if the mood hits.
Oh travel should never be planned that closely. Where's the fun in that. 🙂
The best laid plans can go awry… just ask mice and men 😉 I plan, but I'm always flexible enough to change whatever needs changing.
We are the same. Sometimes a plan sounds so good one day and not so much the next day. 🙂
Hi Sandee 🙂 How are you, how have things been going. It feels so good to be back 🙂 Thank you for your lovely message.
When I have a plan I really want to I get very impatient and I'll do it as fast as possible. Then I usually don't change too much about it. But in general – plan can change a lot until I finally settle and go through with it 😉
Have an amazing weekend! Lots of hugs from Germany,
Beate
Great to hear from you. Glad all is well in newlywed land. I'm so happy for the both of you. Hugs back. 🙂
I plan. God laughs. I change plan.
That's cute. I love it. 🙂
