Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful that today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Hubby and I will be preparing a meal together and just enjoying each others company. We’ll have some easy listening music playing and if it’s chilly enough we’ll light a fire in the fireplace. Not to worry, it’s a gas fireplace.

Our menu will be beef roast, dressing, potatoes and gravy, French cut green beans and my famous garlic bread. A feast.

We wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate and if you don’t then may your day be filled with all things thankful.

What are you thankful for today?

I’m thankful that while I’m heading off to work, my daughter will be coming over to do all the cooking. I’m also thankful that both my children will be here for dinner and so will Presley.
Have a happy Thanksgiving. Your feast sounds delicious.

The biggest thing I’m thankful for is having my family under one root AND PLUS. We’re getting a new kitty into the house. My daughter fostered this poor kitten and Eros was his name, but then we found out he was a she, We decided to adopt her and she came home to us yesterday. She is a beauty and her name is Tas, short for Tasmania because she was quite the devil growing up.

I hope your Thanksgiving is a joy.

I want pictures of your new kitty. Don’t you just love it when you think it’s a boy but it’s really a girl? Me too. Happy Thanksgiving my friend. 🙂

I’m thankful for just about every single thing in my life. I am fortunate and blessed, and I am thankful for those things too. 🙂 Most importantly, I am thankful for my faith and my family. Those are the 2 things in life that matter most to me. Have a wonderful holiday!

I am thankful for the time we had with little Martha.

I am thankful that we had great food for Thanksgiving. It sounds like you did, too, Sandee! Did you get to have the fire in the fireplace? That sounds so very nice.

Most of all, I am thankful that David and I had this time together, one more Thanksgiving together. 2 November 2012 almost ended that for us as he was literally on death’s door, in a state of sepsis. He’s not getting away from me that easily. It was the last one for my daddy.

I am thankful for second chances and for our children and our zoo of furbabies.

I’m also thankful for all of our blogging friends and the smiles they bring into our lives each week.

Have a blessed weekend, Sandee. 🙂

Thank you. Yes, it was a very upsetting experience. My daddy and my husband were both in the hospital fighting for their lives, a thousand miles apart. I couldn’t be both places. It was an awful time.

Thank you, my friend.😊 What plans do you have for the weekend?

        • Comedy Plus says:

We are home and plan to stay here. We hate all things Black Friday so stay home we will. Just our usual routine. It works for us. Next weekend is a yacht club function so we’ll venture to the boat and enjoy our boating buddies. ♥

          • Suzanne Gunter McClendon says:

Staying home this weekend works for us, too. It sounds like you have a fun weekend lined up with boating. What a fun adventure. My boating experiences are very limited and none involve yachts. One was a canoe and my siblings and I had no idea how to guide it so were going round and round, not making any progress getting back to shore. The other was on a Sunday School outing. My teacher’s husband let us take turns driving their boat. I was at most 12 and had no clue what to do with a motorboat anymore than I did with the canoe. I was going way too fast for the turn that I made and nearly dumped my Sunday School teacher into the water. I haven’t tried driving/steering a boat since. Ahh the memories. 🙂 Have fun!

            • Comedy Plus says:

Our boat is only 34 feet long so we have a boat not a yacht. It’s all we can afford and we so enjoy it. It’s not worth much, but we love her. We both can operate the boat. Hubby is really good at docking, but I can dock as well. It’s a wonderful venue for us in our retirement. 🙂

              • Suzanne Gunter McClendon says:

I think that it sounds like a tremendously fun way to spend retirement. 🙂 One of our favorite restaurants back home (well, it was actually across the river in Georgia) had a dock for boats to drive up for meals. I thought that was very cool. I bet you get to see some awesome sunsets/sunrises out on your boat. 🙂

Hope that your day went as nicely as written! We drove to my mother’s for the late afternoon meal, then I start getting antsy because I know that the cats are missing their dinner! LOL!
