It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for. I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that today is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Hubby and I will be preparing a meal together and just enjoying each others company. We’ll have some easy listening music playing and if it’s chilly enough we’ll light a fire in the fireplace. Not to worry, it’s a gas fireplace.
Our menu will be beef roast, dressing, potatoes and gravy, French cut green beans and my famous garlic bread. A feast.
We wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate and if you don’t then may your day be filled with all things thankful.
What are you thankful for today?

I’m thankful that while I’m heading off to work, my daughter will be coming over to do all the cooking. I’m also thankful that both my children will be here for dinner and so will Presley.
Have a happy Thanksgiving. Your feast sounds delicious.
You’ll come home to a feast and family. It doesn’t get any better than that, Ann. Love you. 🙂
I am very thankful for finding your wonderful blog and enjoying all the bloghop funs with you

I’m ever so glad we found each other too, Princess Leah. I so enjoy your adventures. Love and licky kisses back. 🙂
We are so thankful for the roof over our heads and our good food. Sandee, you and Zane have one great Thanksgiving.
We are indeed fortunate aren’t we. I’m thankful for you and all your kitties and Smoke and Joe. 🙂
Have a blessed Thanksgiving, Sandee! I am so thankful for everything! If I sat here and tried to list everything, we’d be here all day! LOL! 😀 <3
I feel the same, Linda. There is so much to be thankful for if we just take the time. 🙂
I am thankful for today! It’s 42 degrees, sunny and beautiful here in Atlanta, GA. Happy Thanksgiving to all of those in the USA.
It’s 57 degrees here and it’s wet. I’m so happy about that since we’ve been smoky for weeks. 🙂
Glad to hear the smoke is going away. I feel sorry for those that had to endure the fires.
California is on fire every summer. They don’t do forest management here anymore so when the fires start it’s hard to put them out. They blame it on global warming, but that’s not even close to the truth. 🙁
Enjoy your day!
You enjoy your day too, Darla. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving your meal and your day’s activities are perfect.
We enjoy being with each other and that’s a wonderful thing. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂

Aw, thank you Little Binky and your mom and dad too. I love visiting your digs and you do throw the very best of parties. 🙂
The biggest thing I’m thankful for is having my family under one root AND PLUS. We’re getting a new kitty into the house. My daughter fostered this poor kitten and Eros was his name, but then we found out he was a she, We decided to adopt her and she came home to us yesterday. She is a beauty and her name is Tas, short for Tasmania because she was quite the devil growing up.
I hope your Thanksgiving is a joy.
I want pictures of your new kitty. Don’t you just love it when you think it’s a boy but it’s really a girl? Me too. Happy Thanksgiving my friend. 🙂
I’m thankful for just about every single thing in my life. I am fortunate and blessed, and I am thankful for those things too. 🙂 Most importantly, I am thankful for my faith and my family. Those are the 2 things in life that matter most to me. Have a wonderful holiday!
You’ve have some bumps along the way, but they just made you stronger. I’m happy for you. Your approach to life is a wonderful thing. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving Day!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too. 🙂

Not to worry, Kismet. We had champagne before dinner. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving, Sandee dear!
Thank you, Veronica. 🙂
I am thankful for the time we had with little Martha.
I am thankful that we had great food for Thanksgiving. It sounds like you did, too, Sandee! Did you get to have the fire in the fireplace? That sounds so very nice.
Most of all, I am thankful that David and I had this time together, one more Thanksgiving together. 2 November 2012 almost ended that for us as he was literally on death’s door, in a state of sepsis. He’s not getting away from me that easily. It was the last one for my daddy.
I am thankful for second chances and for our children and our zoo of furbabies.
I’m also thankful for all of our blogging friends and the smiles they bring into our lives each week.
Have a blessed weekend, Sandee. 🙂
I’m so glad David pulled through. That would have been frightening.
You have a blessed weekend too, my friend. 🙂
Thank you. Yes, it was a very upsetting experience. My daddy and my husband were both in the hospital fighting for their lives, a thousand miles apart. I couldn’t be both places. It was an awful time.
Thank you, my friend.😊 What plans do you have for the weekend?
We are home and plan to stay here. We hate all things Black Friday so stay home we will. Just our usual routine. It works for us. Next weekend is a yacht club function so we’ll venture to the boat and enjoy our boating buddies. ♥
Staying home this weekend works for us, too. It sounds like you have a fun weekend lined up with boating. What a fun adventure. My boating experiences are very limited and none involve yachts. One was a canoe and my siblings and I had no idea how to guide it so were going round and round, not making any progress getting back to shore. The other was on a Sunday School outing. My teacher’s husband let us take turns driving their boat. I was at most 12 and had no clue what to do with a motorboat anymore than I did with the canoe. I was going way too fast for the turn that I made and nearly dumped my Sunday School teacher into the water. I haven’t tried driving/steering a boat since. Ahh the memories. 🙂 Have fun!
Our boat is only 34 feet long so we have a boat not a yacht. It’s all we can afford and we so enjoy it. It’s not worth much, but we love her. We both can operate the boat. Hubby is really good at docking, but I can dock as well. It’s a wonderful venue for us in our retirement. 🙂
I think that it sounds like a tremendously fun way to spend retirement. 🙂 One of our favorite restaurants back home (well, it was actually across the river in Georgia) had a dock for boats to drive up for meals. I thought that was very cool. I bet you get to see some awesome sunsets/sunrises out on your boat. 🙂
So grateful to have come across your blog. Thank you for posting such heartwarming posts.
I’m glad we found each other too. 🙂
oh there it am… the comment thingy was not showing up on Katie Mom’s browser… anyways! Happy Fanksgiving on Furryday too! Purrz from Chiquita and the Katie Katz
I’m glad you showed up. Thanks for leaving a comment on Thankful Thursday. 🙂
Hope that your day went as nicely as written! We drove to my mother’s for the late afternoon meal, then I start getting antsy because I know that the cats are missing their dinner! LOL!
Our day was even better than written. It was a perfect Thanksgiving day. 🙂
We shared an extended thank you on our blog and are very thankful you stopped by to say hello! Love and purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang.
I appreciate your visit and comment too. Scritches to Zee and Zoey. 🙂
Yum! I am coming next year. I will bring my famous Celestial rolls 🙂
Have a great one!
Okay, that works for me. Love to have you and your family. 🙂
that sounds like a wonderful feast!
It was a wonderful feast. It was nice and quiet too. 🙂
enjoying food with the one you love is the best Thanksgiving. Congrats. (Being shy — I prefer nice and quiet over busy and boisterous any day of the week)
