It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
Today I’m thankful our remodel of upstairs is partly done. We’re in a lull as our workers are working on another project that is time sensitive. We hope to have them back soon. We will be so very happy to get all our furniture back and put our things away.
I’m thankful that we’re giving most of our downstairs furniture to our granddaughter. We bought new furniture for our great room and our dining room.
This is the set we got, but just the sofa and loveseat.
I’m thankful that pretty soon hubby and I can clean, clean and clean all the dust away.
What are you thankful for today?

There is so much left to do, but it’s getting there. 🙂
I like the looks of that couch. It looks comfortable. I think it’s so much fun to watch the work in progress but it sure is wonderful when it’s all done too.
I hear you about being done. We’re so ready for that. 🙂
Love your new sofas and we know you will enjoy them immensely in your new room!
We will indeed. It’s such fun to redo everything after 21 years. 🙂
It will be like having a whole fresh start with the remodeling done and new furniture! Your granddaughter will appreciate your old furniture as well. It is perfect for everyone.
The entire home will have a facelift when we’re done. So beautiful. 🙂
the sofa is beautiful. my brother and his wife went through 3 weeks of two bathrooms being remodeled and she is about crazy from them in the house five days a week and the dust.
We should have had time limits on our remodel. We don’t and that’s why they are working elsewhere. 🙂
That is a beautiful set. I can’t wait to see photos of your remodel. XO
15 and meowing I agree I would love to see the photos as well!!
I’ll make sure I post pictures as we go along. 🙂
We sat on it in the store and loved it. It will lighten the room even more. We have dark brown couches right now. 🙂
When Celestine and I bought our condo what we got for the living room was a sofa and love seat last year it was suggested that I donate the love seat since I was not using and it was still in new like condition, and I did i kept the Sofa. and yes the living room is still a mess but I have more get around room with the love seat gone..
Less is more is our mantra here. We’re pretty much there. 🙂
Remodeling a home requires us to ‘remodel’ our patience too. And that is hard for me. LOL I love the new furniture and I know your granddaughter will love hers too
Hugs,
Cecilia
We have the patience because we can see the end result. 🙂
Remodeling can be so rewarding. It’s like having a fresh new start! Happy Thursday!
We’re loving it and the difference is huge. 🙂
Beautiful.

I can’t wait to get our new furniture. It will lighten up our great room and dining room. 🙂
Thankful for a phone call from family far away…
That’s always a delight. Happy Thursday, Bette. 🙂
thankful for a blustry day
We’ve had lots of rain lately and we’re loving that. Next there will be fog. Not a fan of fog. 🙂
Oh wowee! I bet you and Zane are so pleased! Love what you have done! and Beautiful new furniture too!
We are so pleased. The moving company is coming December 2 to pick up the kids’ furniture and on the 7th we get our new furniture. Happy Thursday. 🙂
What wonderful thankfuls! I know our neighbors are thankful for our remodels…as things were being moved, most of the excess are put out in front of the house by the telephone pole with a giant FREE to Good Home sign. Everything is usually gone in hours. Yes, Mom could sell the stuff, but a lot of the people in our village are on fixed incomes (like Mom). Mom gets lots of Thanks when she goes to the store from the people who pick stuff up. AND we are thankful for YOU Sandee! Your hops are the bestest! Keep being awesome!
We don’t do yard sales either. There is always someone who needs things. That’s a good thing. Happy Thursday. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a big hug to you, Barb. 🙂
Recently visited the public library, which is at the end of a major facelift.
The taste and smell of dust and metal and wood was in my nose and clothes, so I can imagine what it’s like at home during your renovation.
Yes you’ve nailed it. I want to clean, clean and clean. 🙂
Hoping the workers will return soon and finish up ~ Gorgeous sofa and love seat ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I’m sure they will. Happy Thankful Thursday, Carol. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. 🙂
It looks lovely, I hope it is done soon
We hope so too. I’m so ready for some normal. 🙂
The sofa and love seat look lovely. I hope the workers are soon back to finish.
I hope so too, but it’s our fault as we didn’t put any end time perimeters. 🙂
I am thankful my hubby and our sons have jobs. Have a blessed evening, Sandee.🤗
Amen to that. Happy Thursday. 🙂
The furniture is beautiful…I’m sure you’ll be thrilled once the remodel is done and you have everything where you want it. It can be so much fun.
We will love it for sure. It’s fun to see the transformation. 🙂
We are so glad things the remodel is progressing and hope they can finish up soon!
That makes two of us. 🙂
It’s lovely you were able to pass down your furniture to your granddaughter, and I bet she’s grateful for that, too. Hope the renovations re-start again soon and all goes smoothly! xxxx
She is very grateful. Their furniture is pretty sad. I hope they start again too. 🙂
It’s so refreshing to do a refresh of furniture. Those pieces are lovely! So nice to have new things for the holidays.
I sure will be nice. We love what we bought. 🙂
Those are fun thankfuls, the furniture you picked out sure does look nice. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. Can’t wait to get it delivered. Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂
Cleaning up after a remodel takes a bit of a while, but once everything is done and back in place, it’s worth it.
Hugs!
We are so ready to clean, clean and then clean some more. It does take a while. 🙂
I’m thankful for warm weather we’re having. That’s expected to change on dramatically on Saturday to feel more like winter than summer.
It’s nice here in the afternoons but cold in the evenings and mornings. Happy day, my friend. 🙂
What a beautiful living room set! Well done and I’m sure your granddaughter will enjoy her new to her furniture.
If you saw what they have now and what we’re giving them you’d know they are going to be very happy. 🙂
That’s very nice that you’re passing along your furniture. You’re the best.
They need it so. They have some very sad furniture. 🙂
Xena: Hey, that looks a lot like our furniture. We had Mr. Otto Man, too, but Daddy got rid of it. We’re not sure why….
Amy: I can only imagine how glad you’ll be when that upstairs reno is done. Can’t wait to see the pics!
I can’t wait for this to be done and we can get our upstairs furniture back. 🙂
That furniture set is really nice. We are looking forward to seeing your finished space, Sandee!
We’re ready for it to be finished too. Happy day, my friend. 🙂
