Netflix is the one that always gets me. I go to bed early Sunday to Thursday nights when I have work the next day as I start at 6am but on Friday & Saturday nights I’ll say to my wife, “I’ll just watch one more episode then go to bed”. She’ll wander out of the bedroom to go to the loo & I’ll still be watching just one more episode way past midnight
Doing what you want on your days off is a very good thing. Good for you. 🙂
Well I was pretty lazy yesterday but never thought to check the tv for a sunrise.
Good for you. It’s not often you get a holiday off. 🙂
Well, I try to turn off everything half an hour before I go to bed, but it can be really hard.
We have everything off a couple of hours before bed. We’re not really all that connected with technology. 🙂
We find the ultimate lazy TV thing to be that silly yule log at Christmas time. People put it on the TV and let it just run rather than having a real fire in their fireplace. My mom has always loved TV, and never liked reading books, so the TV is on here most evenings for a couple hours. It actually puts her to sleep.
We are avid readers here, but we do enjoy watching a couple of shows each evening after dinner. 🙂
Reading a book sure is the best option these days!
That’s what we do every single day. Reading is an addiction here. 🙂
Heeheehee! This lazy monkey enjoyed the quotes!
I’m a lazy monkey too. Happy Tuesday, my friend. 🙂
I do like Netflix. It is fun to watch all the seasons. Sandee you and Zane have a really good day.
Thanks, Marg. You and yours have a really good day too. 🙂
Netflix, I watch it all day long other then when I go golfing. See ya Sandee.
Cruisin Paul
Good for you, Paul. We should all do what we enjoy doing. That’s the spice of life. 🙂
These are great. I would prefer a sunrise on tv to going outside. 🙂 Have a great day! Thanks for hosting. XO
They are both great, but I’ll go outside. I love me a good sunrise. 🙂
Hi Sandee, very funny and that last one shows just how much times have changed. Many a true word said in jest.
xx
Yes, it sure does, doesn’t it. Happy Tuesday. 🙂
One monkey is enjoying this post! Lol!
I’m that monkey too, Nancy. 🙂
We like our TV, but don’t get too carried away with it. I always have the news on in the morning and evening, but if I’m not really watching anything during the day while working, the TV is off. I’d much rather be outside watching the real sunrise!! 🙂
We enjoy Netflix and Amazon Prime, but only a couple of hours a day. Right now we’re watching Taken on Netflix. Very good show. 🙂
Ah, my favorite philosopher, Groucho Marx, on that vast wasteland that is television. Have a happy September already Tuesday.
He was a very smart man indeed. Happy September to you too. 🙂
I never understood watching a log burn on TV at holiday time. The smell is part of the experience. The spark that lands on the rug and burns the house down is also part of the experience.
Yes the smell is part of the experience. I’ll pass on that spark that lands on the carpet though. Just saying. 🙂
I enjoyed a good chuckle with your shares. Have a wonderful week. I was thinking of you out on the water where you enjoy such good times. Have a great week. hugs and love and thanks for always helping me make sure I am linked in. 🙂
We’re going to the boat on Friday, but we’re not going anywhere. We’re planing our next cruise. 🙂
Monkey see, monkey do (I laughed at the money meme). I am like Groucho Marx…turn on the TV please, so I can go and read a good book. 🙂
Hubby and I are avid readers. We spend far more time reading than watching the idiot box. 🙂
I left the TV on but didn’t watch much during this long weekend; the weather was too nice, and The ‘O’ Cats beckoned me. I also cuddled with Angel and Da Boyz, and knocked a couple of books off of my ‘to read’ list!
We only watch a couple of hours each evening. The rest of the time it’s off. 🙂
I miss Groucho Marx. It was a wonderful evening hour with mom and dad in front of the TV.
I remember those times too. I agree. 🙂
I’m not much of a TV watcher. I fall more into the category of the last one – sort of. Happy Tuesday!
We aren’t either. Reading is our passion. Happy Tuesday. 🙂
We haven’t had tv in years. So, you know me, I’d rather read 🙂 ((Hugs))
I do know that about you. There isn’t much on regular television and it’s very expensive. 🙂
What Groucho said applies to me more and more.
Me too, Mike, me too. 🙂
Oh such LOL readings ~ thanks ^_^
Xox to you from me and Zoe ~ ^_^
Happy Day to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Happy Day to you and Ms. Zoe. Thanks for playing along. 🙂
Checking facebook is never a “quick” thing for me.
Never. I waste a lot of time on Facebook. 🙂
Watching the sunrise on TV, love it 😂
Happy Tuesday! xx
That’s lazy on steroids isn’t it. 🙂
LOL! I’m sensing a recurring theme here! I’ll always opt for reading a book over watching TV….unless it’s one of my favorite shows! 😀

We read more than we watch television. Thanks for playing along, Lisa. 🙂
Funny! And oh, those puppies. ~hugs~
Yes and yes. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
Groucho Marx never disappoints!
Never, I agree. 🙂
I must be related to Groucho–and yes, I must be the third monkey! 🙂 Have an awesome week, Sandee… xo
I’m the third monkey too, Bette. It’s all good. You have an awesome week too. 🙂
We try to balance TV, Reading and Screen time with our outside time 🙂
That’s a good thing. Moderation is a great thing to do. 🙂
The TV is on all day here although Mom and Dad are both busy doing things at the same time. We like it when they actually SIT at night and watch it so we can snuggle next to their legs:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That’s a wonderful time to cuddle with your peeps. Wonderful. 🙂
The kitties dad just bought a 55 inch TV. He wanted 65 inches, but I vetoed that. I understand it is good for watching sports, but I was happy with the 32 inch we had. My favorite quote is the one from Groucho Marx. A certain ginger tabby will be joining you for Wordless Wednesday tomorrow. Hugs, Janet🐈💗
We have a large curved TV and it’s not on very much. We’re far more into books. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
I wish I would’ve picked up reading. Sometimes I can get into a book, but not too often. Have a great week and weekend my friend. I bushed… headin’ for dreamland! BIG HUGS!
We have piles of books waiting to be read. Hubby and I read together each day at 4pm. It’s just what we do before dinner. 🙂
The bedtime one sounds familiar! 😄 I used to read books a lot more B.C. (before computer). Cheers!
I’ve done the bedtime stuff, but in my younger years. Now it’s to bed at 10. Period. 🙂
Can’t imagine doing that, Sandee. If I went to bed at 10 pm, I’d be wide awake by 1 am! 😆 Plus, my husband doesn’t even get home from work (during the week) until 10:30 pm. Different strokes…
Sandee,
Thanks for the giggles. The only time we watch TV is in the evenings and weekends. Oh yeah, I do catch an episode of something while I use my elliptical. Does that count as being lazy? It sure doesn’t feel like I am. 😀
Evening for us too. If we’re on the boat for 10 days we don’t turn the TV on. We read. Love it. 🙂
Where’s that hockey loving monkey? My favorite season is just around the corner.🏒
Yes, the weather is changing already. I’m ready too. 🙂
Great and true memes about TV. Very nice.
Yes they are and I’m not a big fan. 🙂
Being Happy is a very good thing! Cheers and hugs!
Yes it is and I’m one happy gal. 🙂
Oh my goodness the bed time one. Only it is my kids who delay me. Mom is going to bed so let’s say we need drinks for the next 30 minutes and then need to pee for another 30 minutes. Or choose right now to tell her a really long story that lasts like another 30 minutes……
I so remember that. Can’t get them to bed and then can’t get them up in the morning. 🙂
The almost bedtime one is soooooo me but I’m trying to do better but literally, that meme is me.
It used to be me in my younger years. I always said I’d sleep when I’m dead. 🙂
TV is the biggest time waster – especially daytime TV. But sometimes it’s a good way of relaxing after a long day of work but too much of it makes me very restless. Very funny quotes – you calling me a monkey? 🙂
I don’t watch much. Hubby and I are avid readers. No, I’m the money, not you. 🙂
