Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. I learned _________________the hard way.
2. Everyone should ___________ at least once in their lives.
3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about _________.
4. I’ll never be too old to _________.

Here are my answers:
1. I learned a multitude of things the hard way. I’ve made so many mistakes and some of them were worth repeating.
2. Everyone should do something they fear at least once in their lives. Sometimes you find the doing far easier than the weight of the fear.
3. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about evil people. I feel sorry they are so lost.
4. I’ll never be to old to laugh at myself. There is so much material.

  1. Athena and Marie says:

We’ve been thinking a lot about evil people too lately. Too many horrors going on in our world. Many humans not only inflict torture and terror on people but also on poor innocent animals. It has to stop!

    Lovely feline photo x

  2. Ann Thompson says:

I want to join those two cats and curl up right there and go back to sleep.
I’m finding that the older I get the easier it is to laugh at myself. As a matter of fact, I do it quite often.

  3. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

They are so sweet snuggled up to each other. Good fill ins. My biggest fears are heights and confined spaces (elevators mostly) and I conquered both when I went to the top of the Empire State building.

  4. My GBGV Life says:

If you do something you are afraid of, it gives you such a great sense of accomplishment. We think so many people are seriously lost and don’t really respect themselves or others. The world isn’t a very nice place anymore, sadly.

  5. 15andmeowing says:

Such a sweet photo. I miss my ginger girl. Thanks for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, I always enjoy your answers. I agree about laughing at oneself- I do that often. 🙂 Have a nice weekend! XO

  6. Invisibly Me says:

Naww cuties, BFFs having a catnap.

Being able to laugh at oneself is a talent that’ll get you through anything. I’m so glad I learned this. I also agree that the weight of fear can often be far heavier and scarier than doing the thing you’re worried about too.

    Happy Friday, Sandee! xx

  7. Sandra Hangey says:

i agree with being able to laugh at ourselves, it has saved me many times for all the things I learned the hard way

  10. Caren says:

Love those kitties and I am PROUD that I have the ability to laugh at myself! Being candid, I actually laugh at and cut myself down waaaay too much! Sometimes wish others would learn to be able to look at themselves a bit as well.

  11. kittiesblue says:

Your fill-ins were perfect. I am curious what mistakes you think would be worth repeating! I never knew there were so many evil, mean and misguided people in the U.S. Thanks as always for linking us up. That kitties in the photo are precious. Love and warm hugs, Janet

  12. Eastside Cats says:

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along. ‘ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt

  13. darlamsands says:

Those are some seriously crashed kitties – very sweet. I concur with your fill-in answers. ~hugs~ After being a serious and moody child, I’m grateful my attitude is lighter these days (of course, caring for kittens and a forgiving old kitty sure help in these troubled times). ~grin~Be well!

  14. violaetcetera says:

Those two cats are adorable. The snuggle as if there’s no care in the world, I’m jealous.
You are so right about #2! It may take a lot of strength and willpower to overcome our fears, but realising the fear has no power over us is worth it.
    Have a great weekend!

  15. Jan K says:

I’ve been thinking a lot about evil people lately too. I just can’t comprehend why they do the things they do; it really is sad.
When things start to get to me, I just go to Luke for some cuddles and smooches! He says to send some to you too. ♥

Thank you for visiting me at Pictorial Tuesday. I no longer have a cat, but have had several over the years. Now only my dog keeps me company. Cats have such great personalities, and fun to watch play. Love their inquisitiveness.

  20. Cleo says:

What a comfy snoozy picture! I sure would love to curl right up with those two. Dad says he has learned to laugh at himself more as he ages, and to not take so many things so seriously.
