Scandinavia – While the aurora borealis might be the reason most people put Scandinavia at the top of their list of places to visit, it shouldn’t be. There’s much more to Scandinavia than a multi-colored glow in the sky. Scandinavia encompasses several different countries and although they’re often grouped together, they are all uniquely special.

What they do all have in common is wonderful, cultured people who will welcome you to their country with real heart. Fascinating cultures full of myth, mystery and legendary gods some of which you’ll be familiar with and others you may never have heard of. And the real reason you should be going there – the absolutely, breathtaking dramatic landscapes and natural wonders the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

Hubby wouldn’t be on this bridge at all. He’d be beside himself. I’d be all over it. You’re welcome on the hosting. Thanks for linking up. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

No, not for walking. You’d get your 10,000 steps in very quickly and someone would have to pick you up to get to the other side. 🙂

  1. Jen says:

Wow is that beautiful! I am glad you included a little explanation because I was stumped at first about where that was. Now I want to visit.

Heading out on a little vacation (yay) I will check back in next week. Take care!

What an amazing photo. I imagine that driving on that road/bridge, right above the surface of the water, would afford quite the view! I’d love to visit Scandinavia some day. 🙂

Thank you, as always, for hosting, Sandee! Happy Wednesday!

I would be all over that bridge. What a view indeed. You’re most welcome on the hosting. I love all things memes. Happy Wednesday. 🙂

  3. Driller's Place says:

There was a time when Scandinavia was on our bucket list. We hosted an exchange student from Switzerland when our daughter was in high school. It was a great experience but our student rarely wrote her parents while she was here and she never wrote us once she returned home. Yes, this was in the dark ages before the internet, smart phones and social media. Oh well, we have our memories. Have a blessed day.

    • Sandee says:

What a shame they never even wrote you a thank you note. Good grief. I’m so sorry about that. You have a blessed day too, my friend. 🙂

Driving along that bridge would be a mindblowing experience! I’d love to do that. Way back in 1967 (we lived in Germany then), my parents and I did a road trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, taking the ferry from Germany. It was nothing like this, though!

  5. Marie Moody says:

You see, that’s all President Trump wants is to distant the immigrants that want to come to our country correctly then the people who just want to walk in. Why is it so difficult. Now if we had a wall or bridge like this all our problems would be solved. Oh wait, that would mean moving the earth wouldn’t? Well, that’s what it seems like now. We’d have to move the earth then the get a wall. 🙁 Our poor President he’s got it comin’ and goin’! Now Russia wants to send missiles if we wend any to Europe or something like that. Did you get that message when you put your computer on this morning??? brrrrrrrrr Gives me the willies! I NEED A HUG!!!!! 🙁 Love you girlfriend to the moon & back!

    • Sandee says:

No I didn’t get that message, but I don’t listen to the media. They have their agenda and it’s to destroy this president. It’s very sad. Love you back honey. 😉

  6. Mary says:

I used to love bridges but not anymore, not sure why but they make me a bit uneasy. It’s still a very beautiful show.
    Have a great Wednesday Sandee
    xoxo
    Mary

    • Sandee says:

I’ve not developed that phobia yet, but hubby has. We don’t do high things at all anymore. You have a great Wednesday too, Mary. xoxo 🙂

  7. The OP Pack says:

Mom laughs when she sees this bridge. Her mother was terrified of water. One time the family took her with them to Newport, R.I., and they had to cross this very high long bridge. She told our Dad that he HAD to find a way home that did not bring her over that bridge:)

I can understand that. My husband is the same. He does not like anything high. Scritches to all the pups and thanks for linking your babies up to Wordless Wednesday. 🙂

  8. Pam says:

HAHA…to go over that bridge I would have had to blind fold my mom and lay here down in the back seat. Me, I really don’t have issues going over bridges like that although I have to say, that one is really LONG! Water is BEAUTIFUL. As for the bob hair cut (my blog)….I tend to let mine grow, then I get a wild hair (haha and no pun intended) and I go get it cut. I like it longer now cause it is just easier to care for. I can just pull it back and go. Since I don’t do my make up daily, I don’t do my hair daily. Mine is almost sitting on the top of my shoulder now, it needs trimming. However, if I don’t stop losing it by the handful I might just go ahead and shave my head!

    • Sandee says:

That’s what I’m going for too. A short bob that is easy to care for. I’ve had my hair very short for a very long time. You just haven’t lived until you’re on the boat with a bunch of other boaters and you get up with boat hair. Not pretty. 🙂

  9. Jeanna says:

I’d love to go there and make sure to visit Norway where my great grandfather is supposedly from. When I don’t really know where I’m talking about I’ll say, “Scandinavia.”

  10. Margaret Elmendorf says:

Sorry we are so late. Been busy getting another cat to the vet and then brought Split home today and spent the rest of the day trying to get her to eat. She finally ate a little bit a few minutes ago. Sandee, you and Zane take good care.

  11. Kitties Blue says:

Wow, what a gorgeous place. I don’t suspect I will ever see it in person. Lots of places we’d still like to travel to, but with Sawyer traveling is no longer possible. Thanks for linking us up and for the birthday wishes for Dad Tom. Hugs, Janet

    • Sandee says:

We won’t visit here either. Our traveling days are over, but it sure is an inviting place. You’re most welcome for the linking and the singing happy birthday to dad Tom. Hugs back. 🙂
