Hallstatt, Austria
Hallstatt, a wonderful Austrian village that is so beautiful that its perfect copy was rebuilt in China (so was Colmar in Alsace which was reproduced and rebuilt in Malaysia). In both cases the originals are obviously more authentic.
It LQQKS beautiful there and so quaint 😉
Have a scenictastic WWS ➡
It would be a great place to explore. And have a room with a view. 🙂
Too pretty for words. i can understand why it was reproduced, even if imperfectly. Happy Wesnesday!
Sometimes you want in your country what you find in another country? Could be. Happy Wednesday to you too. 🙂
Wow, that’s really pretty. I’m curious about the reproductions. I wonder how close they are to looking like this one.
I need to spend some time and see if I can find them. That would be interesting. 🙂
That’s gorgeous. I’d love to take a boat there! Have a great rest of your week.
I’d have to rent a boat as it’s not cost effective to bring one. It would be fun I agree. 🙂
How very pretty! I’d love to take a boat there too!
Happy WW, Sandee!
I’ll drive and we’ll have a great time. Happy WW to you too, Veronica. 🙂
Wow. I almost thought this was a painting. Such a beautiful and fairy tale-esque looking place!
Thank you for sharing this, Sandee, and for hosting WW! Have a great day!
I thought the same, but it’s a real place. I’m sure they take great pride in keeping it looking pristine all the time. 🙂
It is a beautiful place. I always find it weird when someone copies something like that, but I guess some like to do that.
It’s beautiful so copying is a good thing. 🙂
What a gorgeous place!
Yes indeed. I would love to visit this place. 🙂
That’s such an amazing looking place!
And everyone takes great pride in keeping it looking good. That’s obvious. 🙂
That sure is one gorgeous place. Great picture Sandee. Sandee, you and Zane have one fantastic day.
It sure is, Marg. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to vacation there for a couple of weeks. 🙂
Be so cool to vacation in a spot like that. But..I have to say, I have been to some cool places myself. HOping you have a great day.
I’ve been to some cool places myself. Wouldn’t mind visiting this one though. 🙂
Wow!! That is beautiful! I would love to live there. ((Hugs))
It is beautiful indeed, Michelle. 🙂
That is beautiful. I can see why it was copied. Have a great day! Thanks for hosting 🙂
I can see why it was copied too. You have a great day too, Ellen. 🙂
i’m putting that town on my bucket list!
Good for you. It’s a good place to have on your bucket list. 🙂
Such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it with us.
It is and you’re welcome, Patrick. 🙂
Beautiful! What a place ~ Xox to you from Ms. Z and hugs from me too!
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
I love all the puppy hugs and kisses from Ms. Zoe and the hug from you. Happy day to you both. 🙂
I understand reproducing this stunning scene. I would like to live there.
I doubt I could afford to live there, but it would be delightful. 🙂
You’ve never heard of an “authentic copy”? Don’t apply for a job at Xerox.
I’ve heard of that but it never made sense. 🙂
We wish we were sailing on that boat right now – what a pretty setting!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I love being on a boat and I wouldn’t mind being on our boat and be there for a couple of weeks. 🙂
Reproducing a village? Did I understand that right? Wild. I have been told the Chinese government commissions towns be built to provide jobs, and they then remain empty. What a strange world. Beautiful image. Thank you for sharing. Hope you’re having a lovely day.
Yes you read that right. Reproducing this village has been done. I hope you are having a lovely day too. 🙂
Oh my gosh, can you imagine living there? Waking up and seeing this site out my window I’d think I died and went to heaven. I can hardly imagine… Totally awesome my friend. Thank you for sharing! Have a wonderful day and why don’t you just sit back, kick your shoes off and stay a spell… (hehehehe~ taken from the Beverly Hillbilies – I think… hehehe)!!! BIG OL’ HUGS!
Paradise, Marie, this is paradise. I’ve had some great views on many a vacation. Big hugs back. 🙂
They made a replica in China? I guess as a tourist attraction.
Perhaps and perhaps just to have work for their people. 🙂
Is that the Camoron Highlands in Malaysia? Check out BoNa Hills in Vietnam. Hilarious!!
I don’t know, but perhaps. I didn’t know folks reproduced places. 🙂
3 letter Wednesday
WOW
Hugs Cecilia
I agree with you, Cecilia. You hit the nail on the head. Hugs back. 🙂
DEFINITELY Austria!
Spoken like someone who has firsthand knowledge. Good for you. 🙂
Between the peaks and the water!
Yes and yes. 🙂
Wow.
Did you show this to Seymour and Element? They usually like to have their say. 🙂
It looks so beautiful and peaceful there.
I’ll bet there are many, many visitors during tourist season. 🙂
I didn’t know they recreated in China. Can’t say as how I blame them. Hallstatt is gorgeous!
According to Darla they build lots of towns in China and then they remain empty. Employment opportunities. 🙂
wow, government-made ghost towns. That’s really different. Would be cool to visit but spooky
Mom says she needs to add that on her bucket list for places to visit. I wonder if there are lots of pussycats that roam the waterfront. Purr purr purr.
For your moms sake I hope there are. Everyone needs to find a kitty when they travel. 🙂
It always amazes me to see homes stacked on the side of mountains. But oh, what a view!
Me too and I’m guessing navigation could be difficult at times. The view though has to be spectacular. 🙂
Absolutely stunning!
I thought so too, Christine. Thanks for linking up. 🙂
I have yet to visit the rebuilt city in Malaysia. Hope I will get the chance one day!
I’m sure you’ll do some great post if you ever do. 🙂
Isn’t that just beautiful! I have been to Austria, but not here.
I think that should be on the bucket list.
I would love to visit Austria. I would love to visit this place too. 🙂
Beautiful and idyllic. I could live there!
I wouldn’t mind having a vacation there. It’s a beautiful place. 🙂
It’s beautiful, no wonder it was replicated 🙂
I agree, Sami. There is so many beautiful places around the world. 🙂
Completely incredible!
It sure is, my friend. 🙂
Wow what a stunning place! I love the vibrant colours and it really does look like an area that is bursting with life!
