Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and Iโ€™ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Cheese

Cheese is the most stolen food in the world. In fact, itโ€™s stolen so much that it has its own percentage! About 4% of all cheese made around the globe ends up stolen. Thereโ€™s even a black market for cheese! Source: The Fact Site

Who would have thought that so many people steal cheese! I love cheese, most of it local. Brie made in Cornwall, not France. I have nothing against French brie, but I have to support our neighbouring county. Blue cheese, Stilton produced in England, and good strong Cheddar from Cheddar in Somerset of course, also a neighbouring county.

    • Sandee says:

We love cheese here too and there are so many that are so delicious. I support local too. Happy WW and rest of the week, Jackie. Love and hugs. ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheese please! Teddy’s predecessor was a cheese-a-holic……..I love different cheeses and have experimented with most kinds through the years. Seems as I’ve become OLDER cheese is less of a friend than before but I still love it. I know when we used to travel my husband and I would always sample “the local favorite”……in Europe that was a BIG TREAT!

    Hugs, Pam

    • Sandee says:

I hear you. The older I get the less I can have different foods. Oh well. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Teddy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Suzana says:

Stolen? Of course I did not know, but It’s funny – strange to see such a subject.
I like cheese, probably too much, because I really want to step backward this product.
    …In this decade…๐Ÿ˜Š
Happy WW, dear Sandee! I wish to have on your table only the preferred food!โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜

That is interesting. I would never have guessed that cheese was stolen. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO

I hope this comment goes through-I am getting messages that there is a problem with your site. Who steals cheese? As much as I love it, I am truly puzzled. Alana ramblinwitham

    • Sandee says:

WordPress is better this week than last week. I’m sorry there are issues with the comments. There are thieves everywhere. They will steal anything they can make money with. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. C.A. Peterson says:

So where can I find a black market for cheeseโ‰๏ธ I cannot seem to locate any in Kentucky! Maybe the thieves think we are too countrified to appreciate the best cheeses.๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

  7. Carol McK says:

Great info and lovely photo of yummy cheese and fruit ~ ^_^

Hugs and love to you from me and Ziggy ~ ^_^

ps WP is back working more correctly ~ a new plugin effecting lots of blogs ~ sigh

    • Sandee says:

I had a terrible time last week. This week is better. I dumped much of my sidebar plugins. Sigh is right. Love and hug to you and Ziggy. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Cecilia Upchurch says:

The Upchurch Clan are a cheese loving bunch. Sunday lunch always consists of fruit and cheese plate with crackers and a glass of wine.
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. Suzette Benjamin says:

Wow! I did not know this! So interesting! Thank you, Sandee, for these marvelous bits of knowledge each week. I learned something new yet again. Happy Wordless Wednesday, dear friend. Much love and hugs to you!

  10. messymimi's meanderings says:

I believe it’s the very, very pricey cheeses, the rare and hard to make ones, which end up stolen. I can see it happening to a Pule cheese, which can cost about $600 a pound, but the standard cheddar at the grocery would hardly be worth the trouble.

I pray you and Mr. Zane have a great week. Hugs to you and scritches to Lil’ Bit and Squeaker.

  11. ghostmmnc says:

That is an odd fact. If I was starving I might steal some cheese, but otherwise no. I’m not that fond of cheese anyway. Hope your day has been a good one <3

  12. sami veloso says:

I love cheese, I could live on cheese alone I always say, but I had no idea cheese was such a popular item to be stolen in supermarkets. I assume it’s the high price!
