Germany
Germany, officially the Federal Republic of Germany, is a country in Western and Central Europe. It lies between the Baltic Sea and the North Sea to the north with the Alps to the south. Its sixteen constituent states have a total population of over 82 million, making it the most populous member state of the European Union. Germany borders Denmark to the north; Poland and the Czech Republic to the east; Austria and Switzerland to the south; and France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands to the west. The nation’s capital and most populous city is Berlin and its main financial centre is Frankfurt; the largest urban area is the Ruhr.ย ย Source: Wikipedia

Love Germany……as a child lived in Weisbaden – then many years later visited the beautiful country’s pretty riverside towns on a river cruise. Friendly people, beautiful sights to see…many memories in my heart forever.
Hugs, Pam
How fun for you. I would love to explore Germany. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to Teddy. ๐
Thank you for the geography lesson. My grandpa was born in Belgium.
Most of us have roots in Europe. Happy day and rest of the week. ๐
Very interesting. We have only visited Warnemunde in the north during a cruise. The smaller ships go through the Kiel canal, but bigger ships go around Denmark to reach that coast passing under the Helsingborg Bridge between Denmark and Sweden, then under the Malmo Bridge.
You’re such a world traveler, Jackie. I love your adventures. Happy WW and rest of the week. ๐
Yep. Mom lived there for a year and then later for ten more. It is a very nice place to visit but living there is challenging. She got her first GBGV from England, Emma, when she lived there.
I didn’t know this. How cool. Happy WW and rest of the week. Scritches to the pups. ๐
My son visited Germany on his way home from Iraq. He didn’t get much time there but what he saw he said was nice
I would love to explore Germany. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. ๐
My son took a year of German in high school and used to play online games with teens in Germany. It was an interesting experience for him. My childhood best friend’s parents both emigrated here to the United States from Germany. Alana ramblinwitham
Hubby took German in high school too and was stationed in Germany in the 60s. How cool for your son. ๐
I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting, Germany. Hopefully, some day. Happy Wednesday!
Hubby enjoyed his time there. I would love to see and explore Germany too. Happy Wednesday. ๐
We love how we learn something from you so often.
I try to do something each Wednesday. Learning new things is a good thing. ๐
Great geography lesson. I’ve never had a picture in my head as to how it’s all laid out. Have a great Wednesday!
I have to see things to make sense of things. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. ๐
Never been to Germany. Actually, I never left the country. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO
I’ve not traveled very much either. I’m to old to want to go anywhere anymore. Need to stay home with our kitties. ๐
Germany is a large country with a lot to see.
I know that’s true. I would love to visit and explore Germany. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. ๐
I love how maps show not only where cities are located but the most lovely shapes of countries and states. My Dad was stationed in Frankfort during the Korean war. Mainly because of his trade skills he was an electrician which were very much in demand. He thoroughly loved Germany.
Hugs Cecilia
Hubby was stationed there in the Vietnam war. He never went to Vietnam. I’m happy about that. Love and hugs to you and Kit and scritches to the kitties. ๐
So many countries in Europe; I’d like to visit them all.
That makes two of us. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. ๐
I have a lot of family history from Germany.
How cool. I learn so much from my blogging buddies. ๐
Helmuth and Post (my Mother’s and Dad’s names) are both German. For the longest time, I thought Post was an English name (you know, Post Road, the Daily Post, etc.). But when we traveled in England I could not find anything about a family crest, but in Germany it was easy to find! My maternal grandparents were first generation Americans, but my Dad goes way back to pre-revolutionary war times.
How cool. What a wonderful find for you. Happy WW and rest of the week. ๐
I’ve been to Germany. It’s a beautiful country.
It sure is. I would love to visit. Happy Wednesday. Scritches to the kitties. ๐
Germany is on the bucket list, Sandee! Thank you for this information.
Happy Wordless Wednesday, my friend. Love and hugs.
It’s on mine too. Love and hugs, my friend. ๐
I visited Germany in the 90s and loved it. Castles, cobblestones and so much history!
That’s what I’d love to see. Lucky you. Scritches to the pups. ๐
Granny is a born German and lived there for 11 years, but you know more about Germany than she effurr knew…MOL… Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and Week ahead to you, Zane and the kitties too๐พ๐๐
I didn’t know this. I don’t know much about Germany. Double Pawkisses to you both and a big hug to Granny. ๐
I used to work for a German company and went across there several times a year, thanks for reminding me! The Black Forest is incredible.
You’re most welcome. I would love to explore Germany. ๐
I love you my Beautiful Wife. Your Loving Husband.
I love you my Handsome Husband. ๐
Iโve had the chance to visit Germany, and itโs a wonderful country.
Thanks for hosting , Sandee!
Hubby was stationed there in the 60s and he loved it too. I’ve never been. Happy WW and rest of the week, Veronica. ๐
Fascinating details. I did not know that Germany was situated so impactfully geographically and geopolitically in Europe. I also assumed its population was smaller for some reason.
Thanks for the excellent insights, Sandee. Thank you also for your support.
Happy Wordless Wednesday, dear friend.
I didn’t know this either. I thought the population was smaller too. Love and hugs, my friend. ๐
Thanks again Sandee. Bless you! Hugs.
Wonderfully informative post about Germany ~
Hugs and love from me and Ziggy ~ xo

I will be headed to Germany – Berlin, specifically – in about a month. And then again in August!
How fun. Hubby was stationed there in the 60s. Have fun. ๐
You surprised me all the time with the subjects.
Thank you for the lesson, dear Sandee.
Happy WW and a fine week! Hugs and love!โค๏ธ๐

Love ya.

You linked up perfectly, Natasha. Love and hugs. ๐
Germany is the country of my birth (my dad was stationed there and met my mom who worked at the commissary). I’ve returned a few times and absolutely love the country…there’s so much to see and experience. I highly recommend it! Happy mid-week, dear Sandee. Hugs and tail wiggles from me and Wilson.
Hubby what there in the 60s. He went there instead of Vietnam. I’m happy about that. You got to travel a lot I’m pretty sure. Happy rest of the week. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to Wilson. ๐
Germany would be a lovely place to visit. I would love to go an authentic Christmas market there! ๐
I’ll come with you. Happy WW and rest of the week, Cathy. Love and hugs. ๐
I’ve only been to Berlin, which I loved. Fab people! So cool. I’m going to a festival in Germany this year (hopefully) so very excited!
I would love to go to Germany. I’m very far away from Germany. ๐
A wonderful geography lesson. I really love learning about countries.
Thank you so much for hosting.

Me too. A country I would love to explore. ๐
I had the opportunity to visit Cologne, Germany many years ago. Such a beautiful city!
Lucky you. A country I would love to explore. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, my friend. ๐
It’s a beautiful country, I went long ago. It would be so nice to go back, but I’m not counting on it.
You and Mr. Zane have a blessed week and give those two feline overseers of yours some scritches from me, please.
I would love to explore Germany. Hubby loved it there. Love and hugs, my friend. ๐
Interesting read about Germany, Thank you so much for sharing.
I thought so too. You’re most welcome for the share. Have a great day and rest of the week. ๐
Nice map showing where the countries are located in relation to Germany. We were there for the Munich Olympics, and we lived in Furth/Nuremberg. ๐
I had no idea. How lucky you were to live there and be there for the Olympics. ๐
My high school choir visited Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and my father encouraged my mother to be a chaperone. She was delighted. Unfortunately all our old photos are grainy and memories foggy because of my raging teenage hormones. lol Be well, my dear!
How fun. What wonderful memories. Be well, too. ๐
Nope! Nobody in our We want to thanks you foradding us to the linkieshouse has been to Germany…BUT the Peep has several German friends (who now live in Canada). Mom says if she travelled, Germany would be on her list of places to go! We want to thank you for adding us to the linkies and tell you how wonderful you are! Keep being AWESOME! Your #1 Fan Boy, Marvelous Marv (& Kozmo & Jo Jo & Nutmeg & Barb)
Love you all. Smooches to Marvelous Marv and a big hug to mom. ๐
Sorry for no link up. I couldn’t find the link so maybe I was too late as I came on Friday the 20th. Phooey. Thank you for the info on Germany. My son was stationed there for quite a few years, and their daughter was born there.
Sorry you missed linking up. Thank your son for his service. ๐
