Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Popcorn

Not all popcorn in South Africa is what you think it is. That said, it would be pretty hard for you to not get what you wanted! A local delicacy in some parts of South Africa may taste like popcorn, but it’s far from it. This South African “popcorn” is actually termites or ants that have been roasted to crispy perfection! Really? When I wanted it, I prepared myself the popcorns. Different cultures, different recipies, what can I say. I’m glad I was born here, far of such menus!
Hugs, dear Sandee! Happy WW and a fine June. Because I enter in the game again, in July.
Take care and smile – the good ingredient in our life!❤️😘

You’re right about different cultures. I just found this to be most interesting. Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Suzana. Hugs. 🙂

WOW…….That’s interesting but at the same time yucky! LOL I haven’t had popcorn in years BUT I sure wouldn’t trust ordering it if I was ever in South Africa.

    Hugs, Pam

It really surprised me when I found this. To each his/her own. Happy WW and rest of the week, Pam. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to handsome Teddy. 🙂

When I see popcorn I always remember my mother who forgot to put the cover on the cooking pot. She didn’t know what it was and thought it was rice. That was in the 50th and not known in Germany. You can imagine the mess in the kitchen

OMCs I prefer my popcorn w/o meat thank you very much.
We are currently on a binge with Aged Vermont Cheddar popcorn in a bag. It is a product of our grocery store Harris Teeter. Healthy too
    Hugs x 4

Sandee, in Jr High School I had a shop teacher that loved chocolate covered ants. If you didn’t know better it tastes like chocolate covered Rice Krispies.
