WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

Popcorn
Not all popcorn in South Africa is what you think it is. That said, it would be pretty hard for you to not get what you wanted! A local delicacy in some parts of South Africa may taste like popcorn, but it’s far from it. This South African “popcorn” is actually termites or ants that have been roasted to crispy perfection! Yuck, so gross! Remind me not to eat popcorn if I ever visit south africa!
I was shocked by this find. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
Really? When I wanted it, I prepared myself the popcorns. Different cultures, different recipies, what can I say. I’m glad I was born here, far of such menus!
Hugs, dear Sandee! Happy WW and a fine June. Because I enter in the game again, in July.
Take care and smile – the good ingredient in our life!❤️😘
You’re right about different cultures. I just found this to be most interesting. Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Suzana. Hugs. 🙂
I think I will give that popcorn a miss, thank you!
I’ll join you on this miss. Hugs my frieend. 🙂
WOW…….That’s interesting but at the same time yucky! LOL I haven’t had popcorn in years BUT I sure wouldn’t trust ordering it if I was ever in South Africa.
Hugs, Pam
It really surprised me when I found this. To each his/her own. Happy WW and rest of the week, Pam. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to handsome Teddy. 🙂
I think I will pass on their popcorn, thank you very much!
That makes two of us. Happy WW and rest of the week. 🙂
When I see popcorn I always remember my mother who forgot to put the cover on the cooking pot. She didn’t know what it was and thought it was rice. That was in the 50th and not known in Germany. You can imagine the mess in the kitchen
Oh my. I can imagine the mess in the kitchen. Yikes. Scritches to Rosie. 🙂
Well, now we won’t need to worry about Mom making any popcorn for a while. She said she is cured of her needing to eat it now and then, yuck!
I hear you. I just had popcorn a few days before I found this. Scritches to the pups and a hug to you. 🙂
I used to eat popcorn – the corn type – daily. I’ll take a pass on this type. Alana ramblinwitham
I love good popcorn, but I’ll pass on this type too. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
Oh that is so disgusting. I may never look at popcorn the same way again.
It was, but if that’s all you know then it’s probably tasty. We can’t see it. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, Ann. 🙂
Yuck! I am never leaving the country so I don’t have to worry about that. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO
I’m with you. Our traveling days are over. We’re homebodies with our precious kitties. A hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. 🙂
I shouldn’t have read this while eating my crunchy celery and almond butter breakfast….
Probably not. There are so many weird things to discover. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
