Costco Toilet Paper

Every Costco lover knows that the big-box retailer is the ideal place to load up on everything from dog food and paper towels to socks and margarita mix. But according to CNBC, toilet paper is the store’s crown jewel: Costco sells about one billion rolls of toilet paper a year. That’s enough to wrap around the planet 1,200 times! (And we imagine that number is even bigger in 2020 especially.)

Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Keith, Senior Salon, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.

We don’t have a Costco close to us – but we keep our “supply” up every Sunday when we do grocery shopping at the local grocery store. Important item to get WHEREVER you get it!

    Hugs, Pam

  2. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

That is a lot of toilet paper. I get mine from Iceland (the store haha!) because it is cheaper and better quality than a lot of well known brands.

  3. Suzana says:

LOL! Interesting topic. Many years ago a friend showed me how, using toilet paper, created
a sort of pattern using glue on a wall, ‘calcio vecchio’. I am not sure if in English is another words.
Anyway, I think it’s italian phrase. But it was fabulous. And I could not guess.
Happy WW dear Sandee! Hugs and a fine week!❤️😘

MOL…that’s interesting, Sandee, not only the toiletpapurr, but we read Cost..co…as in cost-a-lot-co, not knowing that it was a discount store…slaps face Double Pawkisses for a wonderful day and week ahead to you, Zane and the kitties too🐾😽💞

Let’s all remember for just a second, the pandemic…no TP to be found anywhere. Where were those billion roles when the country needed them, LOL? We are a Sam’s Club family since it is close to our house. Mom has been going there forever. It’s so similar to Costco, it doesn’t really make a difference which one we have a membership at she says but close is the winner.

    • Sandee says:

I agree with you about Sam’s Club. About the same. I just found it interesting that you couldn’t find toilet paper anywhere. The hoarders bought it all up in seconds. Scritches to the pups. 🙂

  6. DrillerAA says:

When you live in the home of Walmart’s birthplace and corporate headquarter, Costco is nowhere to be found. Target is is here in token for form, but Kmart left years ago, so it’s mostly Walmart and only Sam’s Club in our world. Have a blessed week.

    • Sandee says:

We don’t have Sam’s Club, but Walmart. Hubby loves Costco. I won’t shop there. I hate going to Costco. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂

In China ~ traveling ~ you have to bring your own toilet paper ~ only hotels it seems have it ~ what a world we live in ~ lol

I love Costco! I buy everything there…well, almost everything. Since it’s just the two of us, some stuff is just too much for me to get there. I do get the toilet paper though 🙂 Have a great day and rest of the week!

    • Sandee says:

It’s just the two of us too, but hubby shops there about every six weeks. Stuff is way too much. I agree. You have a great day and rest of the week, too, Yvonne. 🙂

And one thing I learned during the PANDEMIC was never EVER NO NEVER ever will be be caught w/o a stash of TP. OMCs I will never forget being down to about 3 rolls and we were looking everywhere. Wegmans got a shipment finally. I walked to my cart really and truly hugging my 12 pack of TP. I can make do without lots of things but TP is not one of them
    Hugs cecilia

  10. The OP Pack says:

That is our family’s go-to place for tp too. Mom says she thinks she has paid for a new wing at Costco by now.

And over the top is the only way to roll here.

    Woos – Misty and Timber

  11. CAAC says:

That’s a lot of TP! If we had a good place to stockpile provisions then it probably would pay to shop at Costco or Sam’s Club. Cool factoid, though!

  12. ghostmmnc says:

Interesting! We have a Costco here but we’ve never been there. We used to go to Sam’s but that was long ago, too. We do use our share of TP though! haha
    Happy Wednesday <3

  13. Suzette Benjamin says:

I have not been to Costco for a very long while. But I do agree that the trivia about TP was always evident when I shopped there. Thank you for a fun share. A Costco outing was an event in itself for me.

  14. Veronica Lee says:

Wow, I had no idea Costco sold that much toilet paper! That statistic about wrapping around the planet 1,200 times is mind-blowing. I guess it really is a must-have item for so many households. Thanks for sharing this fun fact!

    Happy Thursday, Sandee!

  15. Darla M Sands says:

My husband and I adore the Sam’s Club brand toilet paper. It’s not only cheaper, but really strong. We learned the expensive way, however, that using too much plugs the pipes of a house built in 1978. lol Be well, my dear, and hugs to you and yours.

  16. Rosey says:

If everyone needs it, and everyone does, it’s bound to make a profit, but this much? Who knew!! 🙂 Have a fabulous day!
