Costco Toilet Paper

Every Costco lover knows that the big-box retailer is the ideal place to load up on everything from dog food and paper towels to socks and margarita mix. But according to CNBC, toilet paper is the store’s crown jewel: Costco sells about one billion rolls of toilet paper a year. That’s enough to wrap around the planet 1,200 times! (And we imagine that number is even bigger in 2020 especially.)
Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Keith, Senior Salon, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.
Yup, we buy our toilet paper at Costco, also a lot of food items. So much cheaper! Happy Wednesday, Sandee. Thanks for hosting the link party.
I didn’t know Costco was the leader of toilet paper sales. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Debbie. Thanks for playing along. 🙂
We don’t have a Costco close to us – but we keep our “supply” up every Sunday when we do grocery shopping at the local grocery store. Important item to get WHEREVER you get it!
Hugs, Pam
I hear you. We had very little toilet paper when Covid hit, but we have plenty now. Hugs to you and lots of scritches to Teddy. 🙂
That’s a lot of toilet paper! I don’t have a membership to Costco so I have never used theirs.
It’s the very best toilet paper in my opinion. We’ll never fun short again. Happy WW and rest of the week, Duke. My best to your mom. 🙂
That is a lot of toilet paper. I get mine from Iceland (the store haha!) because it is cheaper and better quality than a lot of well known brands.
Can’t beat Costco toilet paper. It’s our preferred brand. Happy WW and rest of the week, Jackie. Love and hugs. 🙂
wow, that is a lot of TP and I like the graphic, I get mine at Walmart
As long as we have enough. We had so little when Covid hit. Put us in a panic. Scritches to Beau. 🙂
LOL! Interesting topic. Many years ago a friend showed me how, using toilet paper, created
a sort of pattern using glue on a wall, ‘calcio vecchio’. I am not sure if in English is another words.
Anyway, I think it’s italian phrase. But it was fabulous. And I could not guess.
Happy WW dear Sandee! Hugs and a fine week!❤️😘
The history of toilet paper is indeed fascinating. Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, my friend. Hugs. 🙂
Wow, that’s a lot of toilet paper! 🧻🧻Happy Wednesday! Hugs!
I had no idea Costco sold that much toilet paper. Amazing. Happy Wednesday, Eugenia. Hugs. 🙂
MOL…that’s interesting, Sandee, not only the toiletpapurr, but we read Cost..co…as in cost-a-lot-co, not knowing that it was a discount store…slaps face Double Pawkisses for a wonderful day and week ahead to you, Zane and the kitties too🐾😽💞
Costco isn’t cheap on many things, but some things it’s a great deal. Double Pawkisses to you both and a huge hug to Granny. 🙂
Let’s all remember for just a second, the pandemic…no TP to be found anywhere. Where were those billion roles when the country needed them, LOL? We are a Sam’s Club family since it is close to our house. Mom has been going there forever. It’s so similar to Costco, it doesn’t really make a difference which one we have a membership at she says but close is the winner.
I agree with you about Sam’s Club. About the same. I just found it interesting that you couldn’t find toilet paper anywhere. The hoarders bought it all up in seconds. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
No Costco around here. There is a Sams Club but I’m not a member. That sure is a lot of toilet paper.
Being able to get toilet paper is key. We couldn’t find toilet paper anywhere when the pandemic hit. A hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. 🙂
I have never been to Costco. I buy big packages of Scott. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
I hear you. We had so little toilet paper when Covid hit. The grocery stores were bare. We’re now used to that here. It was frightening. 🙂
Ahh, toilet paper in huge cases!! Just what we need to prevent covid from returning!!😂😂
I hear you, C.A. I don’t want to go through that again. Happy WW and rest of the week. 🙂
When you live in the home of Walmart’s birthplace and corporate headquarter, Costco is nowhere to be found. Target is is here in token for form, but Kmart left years ago, so it’s mostly Walmart and only Sam’s Club in our world. Have a blessed week.
We don’t have Sam’s Club, but Walmart. Hubby loves Costco. I won’t shop there. I hate going to Costco. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂
No words needed for toilet paper. They became such a precious commodity during Covid.
You’re right about that. We had so little when Covid hit. Not anymore. 🙂
Mom gets ours there!
It’s great toilet paper. I like it far better than most other toilet paper. 🙂
Hahahahah Wipe Out! We get ours there too!
It’s a great place to get toilet paper. Happy WW, my friends. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
So I guess that’s about 60 times to the moon and back!
I didn’t calculate that, but you may be right. It’s a lot of toilet paper. 🙂
In China ~ traveling ~ you have to bring your own toilet paper ~ only hotels it seems have it ~ what a world we live in ~ lol
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,
clm ~ A ShutterBug Explores
aka (A Creative Harbor)
That’s most interesting. I didn’t know this. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. 🙂
I love Costco! I buy everything there…well, almost everything. Since it’s just the two of us, some stuff is just too much for me to get there. I do get the toilet paper though 🙂 Have a great day and rest of the week!
It’s just the two of us too, but hubby shops there about every six weeks. Stuff is way too much. I agree. You have a great day and rest of the week, too, Yvonne. 🙂
And one thing I learned during the PANDEMIC was never EVER NO NEVER ever will be be caught w/o a stash of TP. OMCs I will never forget being down to about 3 rolls and we were looking everywhere. Wegmans got a shipment finally. I walked to my cart really and truly hugging my 12 pack of TP. I can make do without lots of things but TP is not one of them
Hugs cecilia
We were in the same boat. Panic time. We managed, but it wasn’t easy. We have lots now. Love and hugs. 🙂
I have a Sam’s Club Walmart’s version of Cosco near me, sadly there are no Costco’s close by at all..
Sam’s Club is a good place. We don’t have a Sam’s Club here. Happy WW and rest of the week, Mike. Scritches to Screwball. 🙂
I believe it…that’s where we get our toilet paper! LOL
It’s great toilet paper. We also buy our champagne there. Happy WW and rest of the week. 🙂
Ahhh, yes, to be know for your potty wipes…. 😂
I agree. We need those potty wipes. Scritches to the pups and a hug to their wonderful mom. 🙂
WOW, that a lot of TP
Thanks, Sandee, thank you for hosting.
My entries this week #34+35
Hope you will join ES #WW https://esmesalon.com/tag/wordlesswednesday/ NOW OPEN
It sure is. I had no idea. Happy WW and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂
That is our family’s go-to place for tp too. Mom says she thinks she has paid for a new wing at Costco by now.
And over the top is the only way to roll here.
Woos – Misty and Timber
We feel the same. Scritches to the pups and a big hug to mom. 🙂
That’s a lot of TP! If we had a good place to stockpile provisions then it probably would pay to shop at Costco or Sam’s Club. Cool factoid, though!
We had so little that it was panic time for us. Never going to let that happen again. Love and hugs. 🙂
Interesting! We have a Costco here but we’ve never been there. We used to go to Sam’s but that was long ago, too. We do use our share of TP though! haha
Happy Wednesday <3
We don’t frequent Costco as much as we used to, but we still go. 🙂
I have not been to Costco for a very long while. But I do agree that the trivia about TP was always evident when I shopped there. Thank you for a fun share. A Costco outing was an event in itself for me.
They have tons of paper products, but not when the pandemic hit. Happy WW and rest of the week, Suzette. Hugs. 🙂
So true! Thanks Sandee. Happy WW and the rest of the week to you also..Hugs!
Costco is great and so is toilet paper. I pray you and Mr. Zane have a blessed week and please give those kitties some scritches from me.
I love Costco toilet paper the best. You and Mr. Sweetie have a blessed day and rest of the week. 🙂
You come up with the best facts. Very cool. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
It’s fun to learn new things. I had no idea about this. Happy day and rest of the week, Patrick. 🙂
Well…you can never have too much tp!
I agree with you. We have enough now. 😉
Wow!
I agree. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
Wow, I had no idea Costco sold that much toilet paper! That statistic about wrapping around the planet 1,200 times is mind-blowing. I guess it really is a must-have item for so many households. Thanks for sharing this fun fact!
Happy Thursday, Sandee!
I didn’t know that either. It shocked me, too. Happy day and rest of the week, Veronica. 🙂
More things I did not know. 🙂 I love this.
I didn’t know this either. I love interesting facts. 🙂
My husband and I adore the Sam’s Club brand toilet paper. It’s not only cheaper, but really strong. We learned the expensive way, however, that using too much plugs the pipes of a house built in 1978. lol Be well, my dear, and hugs to you and yours.
I hear you on that. We have to watch out for that as well. Be well, my friend. Hugs. 🙂
One billion rolls of toilet paper a year?! That should sound crazy but for some reason, it doesn’t surprise me as much as it should.
I really doesn’t surprise me either, but I had no idea they had the market of toilet paper. Happy day and weekend, Lux. 🙂
That’s something I’ve learned today!
I’m filled with useless information, Keith. 🙂
If everyone needs it, and everyone does, it’s bound to make a profit, but this much? Who knew!! 🙂 Have a fabulous day!
I would like to have one day of money taken in at Costco. I’d have a lot of money. Hugs. 🙂
Happy Caturday Sandee, thank mew so much for adding our links this week, we really appreciate, mew are EPIC!
You’re most welcome, my friend. A hug to you and scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Wow, that number is really something! Who knew something as basic and mundane as TP would have had such a huge impact during COVID?!
I was surprised by this too. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the pups. 🙂
I have one thought at this point on TP, best to keep it on hand.
You’re right about that. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
