The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a 1966 Italian epic spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood as “the Good”, Lee Van Cleef as “the Bad”, and Eli Wallach as “the Ugly”. The plot revolves around three gunslingers competing to find a fortune in a buried cache of Confederate gold amid the violent chaos of the American Civil War (specifically the Battle of Glorieta Pass of the New Mexico Campaign in 1862) while participating in many battles, confrontations, and duels along the way. It was an Italian-led production with co-producers in Spain, West Germany, and the United States. Most of the filming took place in Spain. Source: Wikipedia

I used to enjoy the spaghetti westerns, and liked Ennio Morricone’s theme tunes.

I’ve seen a lot of westerns and also a lot of old Clint Eastwood movies but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this one or not.
It’s worth the watch. Happy rest of the week, Ann. 🙂
I know I’ve seen it but maybe once as I don’t recall anything about the movie.
It’s a great movie. All the spaghetti westerns were good movies. 🙂
My mom used to watch westerns sometimes, and it was amazing how many now-famous characters appeared in them. SO many people. I remember her talking about The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, so I’m guessing the movie played at our house, at some point. I just don’t remember it. I like Clint Eastwood though. Have a happy day.
I love Clint Eastwood and all of his movies. Have a great day, my friend. 🙂
That’s a classic. I never saw it in the theater, but watched it on TV as a kid and enjoyed it very much. The soundtrack by Morricone is terrific. Thank you as always for hosting, Sandee. Happy Wednesday!😊
It’s a great movie. Happy Wednesday, my friend. 🙂

I’m going to keep showcasing movies for a bit. Happy rest of the week, Ellen. A hug to you and scritches to the kitties. 🙂
I love Clint Eastwood. The man just keeps going and going. He certainly is a legend, both as an actor and director.
He does indeed and I love all of his movies. 🙂
Clapping…we are big Clint Eastwood fans here…and western movies. We used to attend a monthly western movie night then there was COVID.
Hugs Cecilia
I love all the Clint Eastwood films. He is a great actor and most sexy in his younger years. Hugs. 🙂
There was a whole series of those movies and they were pretty good at the time.
They are still most entertaining. Happy rest of the week. 🙂
Some of the best western movies ever were the “Spaghetti Westerns”, including Fist Full of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Hang ‘Em High, and Outlaw Josey Wales. They brought a grit to the genre that Gene Autry and Roy Rogers never approached. Loved those movies.
We love all these movies too. Classics. I agree with you. 🙂
I have seen this movie in reruns it was a favorite of my grandfather’s. I did not know it was filmed in Spain. Fascinating details. Thank you Sandee. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Bless you.
I loved this movie. I love Clint Eastwood too. Love and hugs. 🙂
Yes to Clint Eastwood movies!! Thank you Sandee. Love and hugs back to you!
The title of this movie always brings a smile to my face. It reminds me of a funny incident from college.
During an accounting class, our lecturer said, “There are three types of debts: the good, the bad, and the…”
Before he could finish, the whole class shouted, “UGLY!” Haha! The correct answer was actually doubtful debts. Just goes to show how iconic this movie really is!
Happy Wednesday, Sandee!
It’s a classic movie. Love the spaghetti western. 🙂
A true classic!!
I agree. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
I do like westerns, but I don’t think I ever saw this one. I feel like I might have seen it since my father loved these types of movies. I just don’t remember. Have a great week!
I love all these kinds of movies. Such entertainment. 🙂
Ha, what a film! Have seen it multiple times.
But, in the end, who is good, bad, or ugly…hmmm???
These three actors made so many great films.
I hear you. I loved this movie. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
