Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

The Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus), also known as the white fox, polar fox, or snow fox, is a small fox native to the Arctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere and common throughout the Arctic tundra biome. It is well adapted to living in cold environments, and is best known for its thick, warm fur that is also used as camouflage. It has a large and very fluffy tail. In the wild, most individuals do not live past their first year but some exceptional ones survive up to 11 years. Its body length ranges from 46 to 68 cm (18 to 27 in), with a generally rounded body shape to minimize the escape of body heat.

The Arctic fox preys on many small creatures such as lemmings, voles, ringed seal pups, fish, waterfowl, and seabirds. It also eats carrion, berries, seaweed, and insects and other small invertebrates. Arctic foxes form monogamous pairs during the breeding season and they stay together to raise their young in complex underground dens. Occasionally, other family members may assist in raising their young. Natural predators of the Arctic fox are golden eagles, Arctic wolves, polar bears, wolverines, red foxes, and grizzly bears. That’s interesting that an Eagle is one of his natural predators. Cute little fella. I’d hate to see an eagle (or anything) get him.
    Have a happy WW.

Snowy Owls also feast on lemmings, and right now, the young owls who don’t have established territories in the Arctic and Canada have flown as far south as southeastern Michigan; lots of folks have taken photos of them near us!

  5. Suzana says:

Nature can be cruel . Such a cutie though. Those little sweet paws. My friend in Alaska has these fancy doggies and they wear snowsuits with built in boots. hahaha because it is below freezing these days in the cold, snowy place where they live. Thank you for being here.

I was happy to help, Marie. I check your blog often to see if you have a draft post so I can help you with it. Blogger is most difficult though. It used to be so simple. 🙂

I guess it’s been so long since I’ve been here I forgot everything. I hope these dam pills will start helping me. The doctor gave me something to help. I’m here balling like a little kid, and I can’t remember sqwat. I just don’t know what to do. I don’t want to quit something I love doing so much, but I’m sure all my friends are really getting angry with me. If there’s something you could do for me today I’d really really appreciate it. I don’t know if you’ll get this, but if you can make some sort of blog for me it’s Sunday night and I cannot get in there and I’m sitting here blubbering like a little kid. I thought for sure I could do it. I was so happy today being for sure things were fine, but guess what I don’t know who I was kidding, but guess I was kidding me. You see I’ve been very forgetful lately and I went to the doctor, and he’s got me doing these excercises and my daughter comes over once a week to do my pills, and the doctor has me doing excercises and I’m taking these drugs I HATE THIS. Guess I’ll call Cathy tomorrow and tell her what’s really going on. I love my blog, and I love the music game we play DAM I CAN’T even remember the program we do. I’m so sorry Sandy I don’t know what to do. Guess I’ll go to bed and I will talk tomorrow to you. Goodnite.. luv u and thank you for your help. hugs
