WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.
For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

The Eierland Lighthouse is a lighthouse on the northernmost tip of the Dutch island of Texel. It is named for the former island Eierland.
History
The lighthouse was designed by Quirinus Harder and construction began on 25 July 1863. The lighthouse was built on top of a 20-metre high sand dune, and was lit on 1 November 1864. At that time, the distance from the lighthouse to the sea was 3 kilometres.
During the Georgian Uprising of Texel of April 1945 the lighthouse suffered heavy damage. It was repaired by constructing a new wall around it and a new upper-level construction. In this process the lighthouse lost two of its original nine storeys.
During the 1990s the lighthouse, including the very top and the lamp, was open for visitors. Closed for a while, it was reopened in 2009 and is accessible up to the sixth floor. Source: Wikipedia
I want to take that path to investigate the red light house.
I’ll come with you, Nancy and then we can have dinner later. 🙂
This looks like somewhere in our Country, so I tried the linky and it was. Have you ever been to Texel, Sandee? We haven’t but Grandpaw has, for his work, I think that’s why Granny recognized the picture…MOL.. Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday🐾😽💞
It might be. It’s not in the U.S. Pawkisses to Little Binky. 🙂
I love seeing lighthouses. I thought it looked a lot different to the other American lighthouses I had seen and then saw Little Binky’s comment. It is more like the British lighthouses too.
It isn’t in the U.S. It would be fun to explore. 🙂
I realised that when I read Little Binky’s comment (Angels Whisper) She lives in Holland. I would love to visit it as it is a closer country to me.
I’m with Nancy. I want to follow that path and get a closer look. I first thought that was a dirt path leading to the lighhouse but the more I looked I realized it’s brick.
It’s a cool looking place to explore. 🙂
Looks nice and peaceful there for a nice walk and view 🙂
Have a lighthousetastic WWS 🙂
Yes on all counts, Steve. Happy WW. 🙂
Beautiful photo and dreaming of a fun day ahead.
I agree. I could spend a lot of time explore the lighthouse and the area. 🙂
I love lighthouses — that guiding beacon symbolizes a way forward and help in navigating through the world.
Happy Weds, Sandee!
Yes indeed, Veronica. They are a welcome sight to sailors. 🙂
That is one different lighthouse. I would enjoy taking that walk. I used to work with someone who collected lighthouse (miniatures, whatever had a lighthouse on it.) She would love this.
I never thought of collecting lighthouses. I might see if I can do that. I’ve been to many. 🙂
I absolutely love the color RED…what a gorgeous lighthouse.
Happy Wordless Wednesday
It is a gorgeous lighthouse indeed. They are fun to see from land or on the sea. 🙂
Mom says that looks like the dunes along the beach where she used to live on the North Sea Coast in Germany, just a different lighthouse.
It just might be. It’s not in the U.S. I just can’t remember what country. 🙂
Sandee,
I love lighthouses! This is a beautiful photograph. I prefer lighthouses along a ragged shore line, like Maine or Oregon but I like seeing them all. Thanks for hosting the mid-week fun, my dear! 😉
I’ve been to them in Oregon, but not in Maine. I’m with you on the rugged shoreline being the best ones. 🙂
What a fun path to go down. That is one good looking lighthouse. Sandy, you and Zane have a great day. Sandy, hope things are getting a little better for you.
Hubby and I love lighthouses. Always stop to explore. You have a great day too, Marg. 🙂
That is so peaceful, I just want to walk up that path, lovely.
I’ll come with you. 🙂
Meowsr Ms. Sandee that is a fine looking lighthouse! Have a wonderful Wednesday… the news might be inspiring.
Purrseidon
They are all fine and fun to explore. 🙂
This also looks like the Outer Banks, NC. (I only like sand if it is on a warm beach attached to a warm ocean.)
I think it’s in another country. 🙂
That looks like a nice place to go for a walk! Lovely photo choice! Hugs and have a wonderful Wednesday! 😀
They are nice places for a walk. Nothing better than being on the ocean. 🙂
Let’s go see the ocean!
Yes, let’s do that. Always a treat. 🙂
What a beautiful photo. Seeing the lighthouse up ahead makes me want to follow the path to see what the ocean looks like there. 🙂
Happy Wordless Wednesday, Sandee!
I always go when I can visit a lighthouse. They are most beautiful and always have a wonderful story to tell. 🙂
That is a pretty photo. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day! XO
It is indeed. You have a great day too, Ellen. 🙂
This image makes me remember that I haven’t been to the shore in a long time! I need to hear waves….
We are frequent visitors to the ocean. It’s such a great place to relax. 🙂
What a lovely scene. I love lighthouses because there’s something mysterious about them. Happy Wednesday!
I love the tales about those that manned and lived in lighthouses back in the day. Happy Wednesday. 🙂
What an epic photo, the P.A. would love to be there right now! Happy Wednesday XOX
I love lighthouses and never pass one by. Even if it’s closed I’ll snoop around. 🙂
Happy Wednesday, Sandee! 🙂 That’s a lovely, peaceful vista. Thanks for hosting this link party. I’ve added the Santorini post, which you’ve kindly already visited. Cheers!

That is a beautiful photograph and the red lighthouse looks so striking. Seems to be like a quiet and peaceful place that might be ideal for a walk.
Thanks for sharing and joining our weekly blog hop, Sandee.
Happy #wordlesswednesday and a wonderful week ahead.

Most lighthouses are wonderful serene places to be. Well if the ocean isn’t to angry. 🙂
Oh yes, you said it right, Sandee.
That is such a cool pic. Very nice. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

The ocean. The ocean is just over that little rise. 🙂
A windswept walk to the beach would be so welcome today. More snow is set to arrive. 🥶
As long as it’s warm I’m all in. 🙂
Such a beautiful lighthouse!
Happy Wednesday!
It is indeed. I forget what country this lighthouse is in. 🙂

Me too and never pass on up. They are such fun to explore. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
I love the look of all lighthouses and the reason for those being build. HOWEVER I have never been to one. That is on my bucket list of things to do. Thanks for sharing.
Oh they are most fun to explore. They all have their own stories and the are beautiful by land or by sea. 🙂
Nice share. Love seeing this kind of share. Makes me want to go on a vacation. I am tired of all the snow, which is falling outside my window right now. It feels like it will never go away. Thanks for sharing and hosting. HUGS
