It’s Wednesday so that means it’s question time. It’s time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We’d all like that.
Here’s this weeks question: Do you believe in astrology readings?
I know that many do and it’s all good, but I don’t. Hubby had his done some years back and it seemed to be mostly boilerplate kinds of stuff. Some things fit, but much didn’t. I know many famous people have their charts read and stay on top of the stars and all that other stuff. Greek to me.
Heck NO. Now, fortune cookies is a whole 'nother thing.
bahahahaha.
Have yourself a lovely day, hon. xoxo
Oh I love fortune cookies too. Right after a great Chinese meal. 🙂
Interesting question. Academically I would say no, but there is something to it. An accuracy that can't always be explained by luck. In general, I am pretty open minded on most things.
I just never read one that really was accurate. 🙂
That's an easy one, for me the answer is a big no =D>
Have a leotastic day Sandee :-h
I'm a big no too Steve. 🙂
Can't say that I do. I'll read my horoscope every now and then, but just for entertainment.
I think it's entertainment too, but there are those that swear by these readings. 🙂
No, I don't believe in them. Most of the time it is wrong. Besides everyone is different so how can anyone predict the horoscope.
Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit have a great day.
That's what I've noticed. Most of the time they are way off. 🙂
Nope. Years ago, i noticed that the local paper printed the horoscope and each sign had from 1-5 stars next too it. One star meant you could expect a "difficult" day and five meant a terrific day. So i started looking for times when there were only one or two stars next to a sign. In years of looking, i saw one-star days maybe three times, and two-star days maybe twice a month. According to just that, everyone should be having average to great days, every single day! Thus disproving the whole matter to begin, at least in my mind.
Oh I remember those ratings. They were rarely right. All hocus pocus if you ask me. 🙂
I don't. But it's fun to read them. 🙂
It is fun to read horoscopes and then pick out all the things that don't apply. 🙂
I believe in characteristics of signs but I do NOT believe in daily forecasts.
I at least believe that. The characteristics part that is. 🙂
Only if it says I'm about to win the lottery. 🙂 😀 🙂
Have a great middle of the week day! 🙂
You crack me up Rosey. I hope you win the lottery. 🙂
Nope! I believe in God and that is it. Have a great Wednesday Sandee and try to keep cool as best as you can. 108 degrees is dangerous to me so be safe my wonderful friend.and keep Zane & Little Bit also. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
God is a good thing to believe in Paul. I too believe in God. 🙂
No way, no how!
Makes two of us Jean. 🙂
Have mixed feelings on the readings—I believe them only when they are good and ignore the bad ones!
I think most folks do this. Take the good and dump the bad. 🙂
Nope! But I still read them, they are just too funny not to!
I've not read them in a long time. I probably should just for fun. 🙂
I've never had an individual one done but there's no way the general readings for all people of a certain sign is true for everyone so no, I don't believe in those. Sure some are fairly close some of the time but that's luck!
Happy Wednesday Sandee! Smooches to Little Bit!
Hubbies was mostly wrong. Very little was accurate. It was many pages long too and involved much information. Like date of birth, time of birth and so on. 🙂
No, I don't, and I don't read them, either. Sometimes when people read and believe them, by believing them, they actually create a scenario which can make it happen, if this makes sense. It is dangerously hot and humid here in Montreal, and I am doing my best to stay cool. Thank God for central air conditioning. Take care of yourself, dear Sandee. 🙂
If they make you feel positive about things then it's a good thing. Ones attitude goes a long way. 🙂
First off newspaper horoscopes are bogus. Now that being said, I had a natal chart done by an astrologer and without her knowing me, she knew some pretty specific things. And this was before the age of Internet. It's actually a very math-astronomy oriented science. I feel there is some validity in it (order and pattern in the universe), but also know that free will reigns King. We choose our destiny based on the opportunities we are given.
I'm guessing there are those that know what they are doing and those that are in it for the money. That makes sense. 🙂
Nope. Never have. My sister is into it and often teases me for being too rigid in my scientific mindset. According to her, I am a typical Capricorn… whatever that means.
Scientific mindset is far more accurate. 🙂
I think there's something to it but I don't spend a lot of time with it. I prefer the Enneagram and Meyers Briggs for analysis of self.
I've not a clue what either of those are. That's how little I know. 🙂
Nope- when I was lots younger I thought it was interesting, but now…not so much!
Cheers and have a star studded day!
Me too. I used to read my horoscope everyday. Then most of the time it was wrong so I quit. 🙂
No! My psychic told me it is all crap.
Bwahahahahahahaha. Here's my horoscope for today:
Virgo – People may want to talk a great deal, but they're avoiding their feelings today, Virgo. Put your emotions on the back burner and let your mind take over. Deal with the facts and make sure your emotions don't interfere with the information you receive. Things can get clouded if you don't stay true to the communication that's taking place. Be conscious of the impact of your words.
Nope. Don't fool with that stuff.
Big hugs, honey…
Many do though. We have other more important issues to attend to. 🙂
I believe it has some entertainment value but as far as accuracy no I don't
I never found it very accurate either. I'm sure there are some legit places to get it read properly but I've not a clue where that would be. 🙂
No, but I do believe in astronomy.
I just don't understand it and with hubbies reading it just was so off that it turned me off all together. 🙂
Nope c-)
I'm a nope too Odie. 🙂
No, I don't.
It appears that most of us don't believe in this Rocks. 🙂
No. I don't see how stars, masses of burning atomic matter far out in space can have an influence on my life. Unless of course it's our Sun & I get badly sunburnt or skin cancer
Yep, pretty much most of us think it's for entertainment purposes. 🙂
