It’s Wednesday so that means it’s question time. It’s time to ponder and then answer just one question. Okay, you can add all you want as a reason for your answer too. We’d all like that.
Here’s this weeks question: You have a week to go anywhere in the world you wish, all expenses paid. Where would you go?
I’m not going far from home. Pacifica, California. Hubby and I used to go there all the time for long weekends. Right on the water and we loved Nick’s at Rockaway Beach. The very best Italian food.
My knee-jerk reaction was St. Maarten. My first visit there was in 1998 and I had absolutely THE best beach day ever. Pretty much 12 hours in the clearest, loveliest Caribbean blue ever. Of course cruising there and back would be awesome, but I'd really like to find a lovely little tropical cottage right on a private beach to enjoy for at least a week.
But then I thought about it and I've always said I want to spend a month in a villa in Tuscany.
But you said I could only have a week, so St. Maarten.
Thank you very much! xoxo
I should have given it more than a week, but most folks don't do much more than a week. St. Maarten is a great choice. 🙂
Top of my bucket list is Jordan, so that would be it.
I'll pass on the middle east. That area makes me nervous. 🙂
Europe! Or Gary Indiana, to visit Michael Jackson's house pre-Jackson 5 era. 🙂
Ha! I know I don't know you, but I'm from Indiana and just had to jump in here… Go to Europe!! 🙂
Europe sounds great. 🙂
I've been to Indiana and I'd chose Europe too. 🙂
I'm going to say Australia. I have lots of places I want to go, but this would probably be the most expensive.
Australia would be a great place to visit. 🙂
Apple Valley, CA to visit my brother and his family
A trip with a purpose other than lounging around. Love this. 🙂
I would love to go back to Charleston to visit. I am sure I could find all kinds of great places to go. Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit have a great day.
I've heard that Charleston is a fabulous place to visit. 🙂
Nantucket. I've been there many times in my day dreams.
I've been to Nantucket. Very interesting for about 6 months a year. Too cold in winter. Fall is beautiful there.
Never been there. I hear it's a great summer destination. 🙂
I'm with about winter. I really can't enjoy much if there are tons of snow and it's freezing. 🙂
Someplace with a pretty view where I would not have to work at all and could sit and read a book and just enjoy my time!
The back of my boat. You've just described the back of my boat. 🙂
Kauai or Maui of the Hawaiian Islands. They are so beautiful. I would love to live and retire
there.
Have a lovely Wednesday Sandee. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
Oh yeah!
Kauai would be my pick. I love that island. 🙂
Double oh yeah Tim. 🙂
Dreaming of a place where I can relax and enjoy beautiful nature
Nature is a most wonderful thing to experience. 🙂
That's a tough question! We've been most everywhere we want to go, but just to sit and enjoy for a whole week would have to have a view of a lake or an ocean. I'm gonna give this one more thought! Good question.
Scritches to LB. Big hugs, honey…
Well, they don't call you the traveling Bells for nothing. 🙂
I would prefer Europe, though one week is not just enough to cover the entire stretch of scenic beauty.
Have a great day!
I should have not set a time limit. One week is not enough for Europe indeed. 🙂
Very fun question! My first response was Paris because we love Paris, but then I thought a bit and decided on Scotland- we've been there a few times and love it- especially as we have good friends there!
How fun. I hope you get to go. 🙂
I want to go to Hawaii and learn to paddle surf in the beautiful, calm lagoon and go to a Luau for dinner and see Volcano and go to the Observatory. Yes, I have thought about this before.
Hawaii is a wonderful place to vacation. 🙂
Probably New Zealand or Italy. My first reaction was Disney World though! 🙂
Happy Wednesday Sandee! Smooches to Little Bit!
New Zealand would be awesome. I've a friend there. 🙂
I didn't get enough of Ireland in August.
So it's back again and maybe just a little further afield to visit friends in the rest of the British Isles.
I know you had a great time. Need to plan your return. 🙂
Funny you should ask … right now I winding up my week at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. Not my first choice, but it's been fun as usual every year in the motorhome.
Usually our favorite week long vacation is cruising the California Gold Country in the motorhome.
I know you go every year. It rocks. Cruising the California Gold Country is fun too. 🙂
Alaska to sight see, Fly fish salmon and greylings and deep sea fish for halibut…then eat halibut and salmon and sight see some more.
Alaska is where hubby wants to go someday. We don't want to go on a cruise ship though. 😉
I would want to go to Kent, England! This is where my grandparents on my father's side of the family were born and I have never seen England. 🙂 I bet I would want to stay there, though, so one week wouldn't be enough.
Oh I hope you go someday Linda. It sounds most wonderful. 🙂
Alaska!!!!!
Hubby agrees with you. 🙂
Los Angeles. I loved it there! But I'd want to stay at one of the beaches. We stayed at Hermosa Beach the last time and there were some stunning houses on the beach.
The coastline of California is most wonderful. Yes indeed. 🙂
I'm not big on traveling 'cause I hate to fly, but I'd love to take a cruise to any of the Caribbean islands. All I want is plenty of food & adult beverages, wi fi, and a pool.
If you like Italian food, you should try my chicken parmesan. My daughter orders it from many places and swears mine is the best she's ever eaten. The chicken is so tender you can cut it with a fork. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it and I just ate a turkey & avocado BLT from Panera. Yikes.
I love Italian and I'm guessing I would love your Chicken Parmesan. That's an excellent meal.
The Caribbean is awesome. 🙂
I would love to travel Europe to visit the architecture that the rest of the world has copied for centuries.
Oh that would be fun for me too. 🙂
I've always wanted to go to Hawaii so I think I would go there.
I've been there twice and would love to spend a month there in our winter. It would be most wonderful. 🙂
Hawaii!!!! Specifically…Kauai (and I wouldn't come back)
xoxoxo

The Garden Island is my favorite too. Most lush. 🙂
I have always wanted see to New York that would be my choice.
Have a traveltastic evening Sandee g-)
New York would be a fun place if you like the big cities. 🙂
One week, all expenses paid, New Zealand or Austrailia, or maybe half a week in each.
You need a week in each place. 🙂
Australia to meet some of my long lost relatives.
That's a great choice Binky. 🙂
Captiva Island, Florida. That's my heaven.
Well there you go. 🙂
Take me to Oahu babyyyyyyyyy, woot!! We had a trip planned for this summer and had to cancel it. Now it's a goal for me to get the kids there, in due time. I'm not telling them though, it'll just be a surprise. 🙂
You can't go wrong here. 🙂
Dear Sandee, I would really opt to take the entire week to be able to enjoy my home. To be able to sit outside and simply relax and enjoy; get to read and take walks. Of course the expenses paid I would go out to eat, order take out and just have fun. xoxo Blessings, Catherine
A staycation works too. After this marathon weekend I'm ready to go home. 🙂
The middle of the Caribbean on a cruise ship!
I'm shocked. Just kidding. I knew exactly where you'd want to be. 🙂
