It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

I’m thankful for each new challenge, because it will build my strength and character.
I’m thankful for my mistakes. They will teach me valuable lessons.
“A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. When you wake up, take a second to think about what a privilege it is to simply be alive and healthy. The moment you start acting like life is a blessing, I assure you it will start to feel like one. Time spent appreciating is time worth living.” Author Unknown
What are you thankful for today?
That is so true about a beautiful mindset. I was just talking about this with someone the other day. I’m thankful that I’ve finally learned this after too many years of just not getting it.
It is ever so true. Ones mindset is key. You can be happy or angry. I want the happy. 🙂
We are thankful too for each and every day we wake up to.
That’s a huge thankful. Happy day, Molly. 🙂
That’s a good quote, shame the author is unknown. Mistakes can definitely be valuable. I like to see life as a constant learning curve 🙂
xx
It is a shame, but that person was most wise. Yes life is a constant learning curve no matter ones age. 🙂
Mom says humans really do get wiser as they age and finally start to see what life is really about and how to be happy and grateful for life. Great post!
They do indeed. I can remember some stupid things I did and thought back in my youth. 🙂
I am teaching Sunday School this week, and my theme is thankfulness. Good one.!
That’s a great theme to have. I know it will be a good Sunday School. 🙂
Excellent quote and thanks for sharing. Happy Thursday!
You’re most welcome and you have a happy Thursday too, Eugenia. 🙂
I can also say I have learned from my mistakes. Have a thankful day, Sandee <3
If we don’t learn from our mistakes we aren’t paying attention. Have a blessed day, my friend. 🙂
I am thankful for my ongoing Soberiety,my Celestine. The fact that I have not had to kill my computer for a week.
Yes, yes and yes, Mike. Three great thankful things in your life. 🙂
No wonder I’m so stupid-I don’t make any mistakes.
All of us know that you’re perfect, Kismet. We envy you for that. 🙂
” I’m thankful for each new challenge, because it will build my strength and character.
I’m thankful for my mistakes. They will teach me valuable lessons. ”
So True My Friend. I thought I lost you for my silly mistakes. Life presents reality and I’m so glad that we are back together. See ya Sandee.
Cruisin Paul
I’m glad we are back together too, Paul. It’s all good. Have a great day. 🙂
Today, I am thankful for my new tires, because I didn’t worry about driving to the office in the snow!
That makes a difference for sure. Safety. 🙂
Sandee,
Beautiful said and profoundly true. Words lost on the young and relished by the mature. I’m filled with deep gratitude for my health. The Lord is indeed good to me. Thanks for sharing, my dear!
I’m healthy too for looking at 70. It’s all good. Have a great day, Cathy. Enjoy your long weekend with hubby. 🙂

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. It’s good to stop and figure out what we are thankful for. 🙂
Whew what a busy week it has been!
I am ultimately grateful for my mistakes too, but maybe not at first 🙂
Have a great one!
I hear you about mistakes. I’ve learned so much from mine. Some just keep making the same ones over and over. 🙂

And so are you, Carol. And Ms. Zoe as well. 🙂
Thankful we have a good heater, as it is so cold and rainy outside. Happy Thursday! <3
It’s cold and sunny here. The high today is supposed to hit 77. I’m good with that. 🙂
Sandee this is an excellent way to start the day! Enjoy each day…!
Yes it is. Some folks never stop to smell the roses and that’s a shame. 🙂
Yes, challenges and mistakes form our character so much.
Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
You have a wonderful Thankful Thursday too, Viola. 🙂
What a lovely quote. love the first sentence.
After speaking with a former co worker yesterday who has had so many health challenges.
I am blessed and thankful
Hugs Cecilia
I hear you. Some are battling health issues in my neck of the woods too. Hugs back. 🙂
I am thankful to have been born when and where I was. ~nods~ Love those swans! And the quote about the brain as an app is brilliant. Hugs to you, my dear, from across the miles. Take care!
Me too, Darla. It’s a great time to be alive. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
I am thankful I made it thru Wednesday! Thought it would never be over! 😺
Good for you. Some days do seem to be longer than others. 🙂
I make so many mistakes that I’m bound to soon be perfect.
Me too, Jan, me too. 🙂

Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Yes, that’s the first thing I do each morning. Smile and embrace the day. Kisses to all three of you cutie pies. 🙂
What a great angle for Thankful Thursday. Most people would prefer to correct their past mistakes. But each of those experiences make us who we are today. Excellent choice. xoxo
I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but I’ve learned from each one. 🙂
Wonderful thankfuls. Mistakes are a part of life 🙂 XO
Yes they are and you get up, dust yourself off, don’t repeat that mistake and move on. 🙂
Oh m y gosh, I’m sooooooooooooo sorry I’m so late. You have no idea what I’ve been through the last couple of days! Between my daughter, 2 of my granddaughters and one great granddaughter (but she’s not a problem) everyone wanted to go Christmas shopping today. NEVER EVER GO CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WITH YOUR DAUGHTER AND A COUPLE OF GRANDDAUGHTERS you will not get anything done… I swear!!! hahahaha All in all it was my great granddaughter that kept my sanity! hahaha HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND MY FRIEND! Hugs….
I try to avoid shopping with the younger set. I don’t have that kind of energy anymore. Rest and know that I love you. 🙂
I am glad that we have the opportunity to appreciate and to learn from our mistakes and not to keep on repeating the same mistakes. I am also thankful for those who are not quick to judge us when we made mistakes.
I hear you on both counts. We all make mistakes and to be judged harshly only makes us feel worse. 🙂
That is a perfect reminder for all of us. Wish my hands still worked well enough to do cross-stitch, as I would definitely put that quote on the wall. Hugs from me and kitty kisses from Sawyer and Cooper Murphy, Janet
Thanks for stopping by. I so love Sawyer and Cooper Murphy. Big hug to you and Happy Friday and weekend. 🙂
I’ve definitely become more thankful for the challenges I’ve faced and the mistakes I’ve made throughout life. Though it may have been hard dealing with them in the moment, I’ve definitely learned and grown so much because of them.
Those mistakes and challenges make us who we are. Better for the mistakes and challenges. 🙂
I think it’s important, especially as we get older, to continue to learn and grow and challenge ourselves.
I work at learning new things every single day. 🙂
That last quote really nails it, doesn’t it? 😍
