It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week.
Focus on the positive things in our lives.

1 Stop worrying, if it’s supposed to happen it will.
2 Allow yourself to be a beginner.
3 Don’t let your happiness depend on anything outside yourself.
4 Stay close to everything that makes you feel alive.
5 Listen to your body, it will lead you to unlimited health.
6 Support yourself with people who see your greatness.
7 Make peace with your past.
8 See all setbacks as growth and expansive opportunities.

What are you thankful for today?
Number 1 and 9 I used to have a big problem with. I think I’ve got those two worked out finally. Have a great day.
I think you’re awesome, Ann. You’re a great friend too. 🙂
A most excellent list! Some of them are not so easy but we try!
I know some are not easy. I have trouble with a few of these. Especially the worry one. 🙂
I love these! I am thankful hubby is home & resting after his surgery. ((Hugs))
I didn’t know he had surgery. I’m glad he’s home and resting. I know you’ll take good care of him. Healing hugs coming your way. 🙂
That is a perfect list of things to do or not do. All are very true.
Now if we can all just get it right. Have a great day. 🙂
You are very smart. Must be why I like visiting here so much 🙂
All very good things you shared here.
Hope you have a great one!
I don’t know about being very smart, but I try to look at the positive. Have a great one too. 🙂
Those are all great and true enough too! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you for hosting Thankful Thursday. It’s a joy to do each week. 🙂
I love Thankful Thursday Sandee. It’s amazing how people don’t give thanks. I like them all but I especially love this one…..5 Listen to your body, it will lead you to unlimited health. After my fall last Friday, my body is really telling me many things. I’m not sure what it is telling me but I know that thank God that I’m still alive and kicking. See ya Sandee.
Cruisin Paul
I love thankful Thursday too, Paul. It’s time to focus on the good things around us. Some need to do far more of looking for the good. Have a great day, my friend. 🙂
excellent advice…..have a wonderful day! xoxo
You have a wonderful day too, Kathe. Love to all. 🙂
Sandee #3 and 7 speak to me.
We are responsible for our own happiness and our past made us who we are.
Hugs Cecilia
Yes on both counts, Cecilia. Big hug back. 🙂
Such good advice, especially not to compare yourself to others, we are all unique.
I never have done that. I worry like crazy, but the comparing I just don’t do. 🙂
I think it is a wonderful idea too! Today I am thankful for a rest day from running. I have a race coming up on Saturday that I want to face with fresh legs! 🙂
I tell myself to stop worrying about things, but it’s hard not to!
I know lots of people are getting too much rain and flooding, but we sure could use some rain. We have a small chance in the forecast for the next day or so,thought. Hope it happens!
Happy Thursday! <3
I have trouble with the worrying part too. It’s my biggest fault. Or at least I think it is. 🙂
This is a great list! Happy Thursday!
Happy Thursday to you too, Eugenia. 🙂
That is a fabulous mantra! It’s so hard to live up to all those points, but wonderful to keep in mind as we struggle through life. There are so many things that can steal joy. I continue to have problems in that area. Hope your weekend is wonderful. Looks like spring is well on its way here….finally!!
We just need to focus on the positive and never on the negative. Some folks can’t see anything but the negative. Sad. 🙂
I am thankful I woke up today as always, at my age I have to be thankful for that. I am also thankful that I have a guardian Angel that gets me up on a daily basis. I hope you are having a wonderful Thankful Thursday honey. Love you bunches ❤ 🤗
I’m always thankful when I wake up each morning. Have a great day honey. Big hugs. 🙂
I so agree with you, Sandee. I mean that for real though, it seems the older I get that fear of not seeing the next day has really set in on me big time. I mean I don’t sit and stress over it, but it is there for sure. I guess I think of this more than the norm because my oldest sister passed away in her sleep, and I am happy that she passed peacefully, at least I look at it that way. Her husband said she was in the same position she was in when he had checked on her earlier that evening, so I assume that would have been the case, I like to believe that was the case. Have a beautiful sunny day honey ❤
I’m so sorry about your sister. Going peacefully in ones sleep is a good thing. There are so many horrible ways to go. You have a beautiful sunny day too. Love you. 🙂
That’s a superb list!!! Staying positive and hopeful is the best way to live!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I’m trying to stay positive today. Have some issues that I can’t seem to figure out. 🙂
I am thankful for that list, I sure needed some of those today! xoxo
Me too. I’m having some blog issues and I’m not happy about it. 🙂
What a great list, each one so important – impossible to pick a favorite but possible to follow all of them.
I couldn’t pick a favorite either. 🙂
Those are some great things to live by. We so agree with all of them. Sandee, you and Zane have a fine day.
You just get better, Marg. I’ve been worried about you. Big healing hug. 🙂
Thankful for the great reminders, Sandee!
They are reminders for me too, Bette. 🙂
That is a great list! Have a wonderful day. 🙂
Thanks, Ellen. You have a wonderful day too. 🙂
Excellent advice, every word. It takes a lifetime, i think, to put it all into practice.
I think so too and we’re both working hard to get it right. 🙂
Support yourself with people who see your greatness. Now to find some.
I see your greatness, Kismet. Even if you don’t. 🙂
Really good suggestions. “Surround yourself with those who support yourself”–that’s a winner.
It sure is a winner. Often you’re surrounded by folks that are not in your corner. Not good. 🙂
Sandee, I am totally thankful for this post. I plan to print this list and review it every day. I am usually not a complainer and can look past all the “cwap” to find the good, but it sure has been difficult lately. It was good for me to read this. Hugs, Janet
Yes, it’s so very easy to get swept up in the negative. I don’t want to go there either. There is so much good to focus on. Big hug back, Janet. Scritches to my buddy Sawyer. 🙂
What a wonderful post…thanks for sharing!
Great list…thanks for sharing. Reply to your comment on my blog today~ my family is fairly talented in a lot things. We have Holly in her acting. My nephew and both brothers are amazing in wood working. My older brother is very talented in business and has started several and retired from them also. I have a niece that used to show horses – Arabian horses and won many awards. She has won awards for her show dogs also. My son has a beautiful voice and sounds great with no music. And my nephew is an ex race car driver. I am very, very proud of my bunch.
Some families are gifted with much talent. Mine not so much. I do enjoy seeing what you and yours are up to. 🙂
A good list. I think the more thankful we are, the less we worry. If it has to happen, it will happen. I like #8 & #10.
Being more thankful is indeed the key. It melts away many negative things. That’s a good thing. 🙂
These are brilliant, I especially love no. 3 & 4. Thanks for sharing these 🙂
xx
You’re most welcome, my friend. 🙂
I’m thankful my first book is typed and written. I am also thankful for Daisy Mae and my blogging friends.
I like number 10 the best.
That’s a favorite of mine too. Happy weekend. 🙂
This is great list. I like the allow yourself to be a beginner. It’s easy to forget to learn something new, most often we’re going to be very bad before we’re going to get any good. Learning something new, while a pain in the butt, staves off alzheimemher’s and keeps the brain’s circuits fresher. hmmm, speaking of learning something new, I better go check on my pot before something burns
I love learning something new. I’m at it almost every single day. I’m getting close to 70 so it’s important to stay active both in mind and body. 🙂
