It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful that earlier this month hubby and I spent three nights at Pittsburg Municipal Marina. We always enjoy cruising there and there is so much to do. We spend our time reading and enjoying being on the water. We were joined by another couple and had a great time visiting. We’d not seen them since last November.
The first photograph is a freighter passing the marina. They pass about 50 yards from where our boat was docked. They come and go all the time. We saw four during this trip. The second photograph is my dinner at La Veranda. You don’t go to Pittsburg without having dinner there. The third shot was the sunset on the last night we were there. It was breathtakingly beautiful. The last shot is the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo I had the first night we were there. None of those dishes are good for you, but I had them anyway.

Both of those dinners look so good, especially the shrimp.
It was delicious. We love La Veranda. 🙂
What a beautiful sunset and your dinners look so yummy! We are thankful that the temps lower back down again.
Next Monday it’s going to be 101 here. I’m not ready for that Miss Molly. 🙂
So glad you had a fun boating trip! The food looks very pretty and who cares if it is healthy or not. One has to splurge now and then!
I didn’t care one bit and I knew what I wanted to eat before we even got there. 🙂
Those meals both look delicious, and who cares if they are not good for you when you are enjoying yourselves.
I didn’t care one bit when I was eating them. I got back on my healthy eating when we got home. 🙂
both plated dinners look yummy from here, and I love to read. I used to read a lot while sitting on the beach in the evenings or early morning. i am happy for you that you are back to cruising and seeing old friends.
Both meals were delicious. Reading is my second favorite pastime. Boating is my first. 🙂
Freighters going by; WOW!
It’s amazing the first time you see one go by. They are huge and if you’re out on the water you have to stay out of their way. 🙂
Delicious!
It was most delicious, Martha. 🙂
What a lovely trip, Sandee! The dinners look delicious! Happy Thursday!
We had a great time and enjoyed every minute. 🙂
💖
That sounds like and looks like such a fun time! Our blogging buds from Savannah’s Paw Tracks live somewhere overlooking that marina I think. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Oh how fun. I’ll have to check them out. 🙂
What a wonderful weekend you 2 had. I am purrsonally thankful I was able to enjoy your most delicious meals w/o any worry as to whether or not they were good for me. I say once in a while dishes like that are just what the Doc would order especially after the last 16 months
Hugs Cecilia
I didn’t worry about it either, but I came home and lightened up what I was eating. Hugs. 🙂
those look absolutely YUMMY! my Thankful Thursday was about 2 fun cars that I owned!
It was a great time with lots of great cars. 🙂
Thankful for hubby and all that he does to make our life special… 💞
I’ve the same kind of hubby. We’re lucky gals. 🙂
That food looks delish! Which Pittsburg were you at? There are several scattered around the country. I’m from up near Pittburgh, PA.
Pittsburg, California. The food was heavenly. 🙂
For an instant trip to Pennsylvania, put an “h” at the end of Pittsburg and to return take it away again. Cheaper than flying.
You’re so clever, Kismet. I love you. 🙂
We are so glad you had such fun and good food. When on vacation of any type you eat and enjoy and that looks so enjoyable
We do just that. It was most fun. 🙂
Friends, Good food and beautiful views…sounds like the perfect getaway!!!
It was most perfect. We’re going to do it again. 🙂
Glad you were able to have a nice trip, with sights to see and good food.
Hope your day is a good one. <3
We had a most wonderful time, Barbara. 🙂

Those photos of food are making me hungry!
Oh both dishes were heavenly. I so enjoy being out again and eating out was such a treat. 🙂
Oh, what a wonderful time you had! My hope is you will have many more adventures this summer.
I’m hoping we do too. Last year we didn’t do much. 🙂

It is and we’re planning on returning soon. 🙂
Oh Yum! Terrific looking food! And now I am officially a little homesick. for Vancouver. I so miss the sights the sounds the smells and the food. My sister still lives on the coast and I can’t wait for the Canadian restrictions to be lifted so I can visit. Thanks for sharing your photos they make my hear sing!
I hope you can visit soon. We had a lot of travel plans last year and canceled them all. Now we’re done with traveling. Big hugs. 🙂
That looks like a lovely time, but now you’ve made my hungry! 🙂
I gained three pounds that weekend, but it was worth it. It was most yummy. 🙂
I love that you get to do what you love. Fabulous! Plus that food, YUM!!!!!
We do, but we worked hard for over 30 years so it’s time to do what we love. 🙂
