Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

I’m thankful for seafood. All kinds of seafood. Hubby and I don’t go out much in the wintertime, but when the weather gets better we hit our favorite seafood places to feast on seafood. We love just about anything that comes from the sea.

I’m thankful for clam chowder and garlic bread to go with the seafood. Perhaps a nice glass of wine too. It’s the perfect meal.

What are you thankful for today?

Wades favorite place to eat used to be Red Lobster. I like seafood but not all of it. I just can’t do clams or oysters but I love fish, shrimp and lobster.

  2. Sandra Hangey says:

Shrimp is my favorite Seafood and I do love some fish but not all fish. Right this moment I am thankful that Bob is cooking me some bacon for breakfast

Mom doesn’t touch seafood, never has liked it, but she is thankful for BBQ season. That is her favorite thing. You enjoy the seafood, it is nice a fresh where you are.

    • Sandee says:

I love BBQ season too. We used to do Calamari feeds. Love Calamari. Yes you can get it fresh if you don’t mind driving to the bay area. We’ve done that many times. 🙂

OMG now you are making me hungry for seafood! I am CERTAIN the seafood where you are is a ZILLION times better than ours! I may need to come and try it out lol. I’m thankful for the GORGEOUS weather we have been having and more gorgeous weather is yet to come!!

I like seafood, fried! haha….you know, breaded and dipped in oil! Seriously, I eat seafood but that is not my fave food. Wine, yum. I have had some really good times with wine…haha. Seriously, I hardly ever drink. I used to love wine but then I started to have some major headaches and a couple of times it set off my asthma, sulfites in the wine. I will join you any day with a meal of seafood and maybe a glass of tea.

We love seafood too- we eat meat 1-2x a week, fish the same and the rest just vegetarian….have a happy day and have a lobster tail or two! xoxo

Oh My Cod! We LOVE seafood! Mom so misses living by the ocean. The thing she misses the most about living here in the middle of nowhere is fresh seafood. Sandee you are a lady after her own heart! (She loves boating too). We are especially thankful for you dear furrend. We love participating in the hops and we love your comments! Marv sends whisker kisses and head butts!

    • Sandee says:

We need to get together so I can love on your babies and give you a hug or five. Then we can eat lots of seafood and take a cruise on our boat. Love to all and a big smooch to Marv. 🙂

  9. The Canadian Cats says:

Seafood!! Always a winner here. The cats love it but dislike shrimp. I love certain seafood but calamari, oysters and clams I can do well without. Although smoked oysters are pretty good. All I taste is the smokiness of them so they’re grweat. hehe

My mother did most of the meal prep when I was growing up…wait, strike that…when I was a child.
However, my father made terrific scrambled eggs every Sunday, and once or twice a year, he’d make fish stew.
Boy oh boy, that was good, yummy stew.

  11. The OP Pack says:

Our Mom loves lots of seafood too, and shrimp are her favorite, cooked any way at all.

We are thankful for the amazingly gorgeous day we have here today. A week of rain is on the horizon:(

While I don’t like most fish and seafood, my boys and husband love it. I remember taking the boys to Red Lobster for their birthdays back when the only thing you could get there other than fish was bread and salad, so that would be my meal on those trips.

    Sandee,

Mmm, that’s some good thankfulness! We’re beginning to rethink vacation this year and are making semi-plans to try to get away this fall which has me excited. We’ll wait to see how things play out over the next few months but I think the pandemic restrictions are on the verge of being lifted for which I can’t wait for that to happen. It’ll be nice for life to go back to normal again. All it takes is using common sense to avoid sickly people and to keep your hands away from your face while in public. Of course washing your hands is a must all the way around no matter what germs are floating around. Stay safe and be well, my friend!

I’m seeing the same thing. We’re in Pittsburg right now and things are open. We went to a restaurant last night and sat inside. Haven’t been able to do that for over a year here. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Being able to go places is a good thing indeed. We had a nice weekend on our boat and enjoyed some good food while dining indoors. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
