Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

I’m thankful for all the pups, dogs, kittens and cats that I enjoy all week long. There are several birds too (I love you Kismet). You have no idea how much joy each of them bring me. I have so many that I love to pieces.

I’m thankful that I’ve met so many bloggers in person. Many no longer blog, but it was most special to be able to share time with each other. I miss the bloggers that I’ve never met who no longer blog. That special friendship will never be forgotten. I think of you often. I’m most thankful for the bloggers that are still blogging and let me share their lives through their posts.

What are you thankful for today?

Today I’m thankful for long sleeves. It’s a bit colder today than it has been the last week.
There are a lot of bloggers that I’ve followed over the years who have quit blogging. I often wonder what happened to them.

    • Sandee says:

Hubby and I just got back from our walk about an hour ago. It was way to cold this morning and I had to wait for it to warm up. I wonder what happened to those bloggers that disappear too. 🙂

  2. Nancy Chan says:

I too miss the bloggers who no longer blog. I am also thankful for you and other blogging friends. I am thankful for my hairdresser that cuts my hair and the rain and sunshine that help my plants to grow.

  3. Keith's Ramblings says:

I often go back a few years to see who was commenting on my posts back then. People’s names pop up that I followed and had fun with, but suddenly disappeared.

I’m thankful for pubs opening again this week!

  4. My GBGV Life says:

We too have met so many bloggers in person and most are no longer blogging. They are all missed. Some we really wonder where they went as they just vanished. Thankfully many said they were leaving the blogging world so we know they are alright.

    • Sandee says:

Yes they are and many are on social media. I’m no longer on social media. Hateful, ugly place. It’s good when folks at least say they are not going to blog anymore. 🙂

  5. Sandra Hangey says:

I feel the exact same way you do! And I do miss the bloggers that have died and the bloggers that have quit blogging. And I am also very very thankful for the ones that still blog. I am thankful for contact with the outside world. And not just the world I live in but the world all around the globe

    • Sandee says:

So many quit their blogs and went to Facebook only. I refuse to be on hateful social media. I just couldn’t keep all the hate out so I deleted all my accounts. Best thing I ever did. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Bloggers are great folks. I sure have enjoy my many years blogging. This blog only has some of the years. My blogspot blog went way back. 🙂

I miss bloggers that no longer blog or have passed away. Even though only a virtual connection, the relationships are still special. I am thankful my kitty got her shots. We found a wonderful mobile vet – no stress for us and no stress for our kitty. Happy Thursday! ❤️

  7. Granny Annie says:

I am thankful that I have met two blog friends in person. I am thankful that I got to know many blog friends and even not meeting them in person, I feel like I know them as well as some of my closest friends.

    • Sandee says:

I so agree with you and I won’t let those folks that want to fight all the time be on my blog. I just delete their comments and block them from commenting on my blog anymore. They just go in the spam folder. 🙂

This blogging community is so special; and one that I thank every day. I feel truly blessed to have met the likes of people like you, even if just digitally. Thanks for always having a kind word to make all of us smile.

    • Sandee says:

Yes there are some very strong friendships in the blogging world. I’m very glad I met you too. Scritches to Elsa and a smooch to Norman. 🙂

Sandee what a wonderful Thankful Thursday. I 100% agree with every word your wrote. This last year having blogger friends who share their lives and furries with us has been a blessing. I miss those who dropped out during the year and pray they are ok. We had a wonderful trek today ran into a trio that absolutely delighted us. They will be on Awww Monday post.
    Hugs Cecilia

    Sandee,

I’m thankful for your friendship. This month I have fallen by the way with return visits and I appreciate your patience more than I can say. I’m thankful so far that I’m not allowing myself to stress over not doing what I normally do while still pulling together sketches for this challenge. I’m thankful DH got his scheduled dental work (5-teeth prepped for crowns) this week and there were no surprises. We were concerned he might need an implant but he doesn’t! Have a wonderful day and again, thanks for stopping in every day to see my latest Looney Tunes A-Z Art Sketch!! 😘

    • Sandee says:

You’re doing A2Z and that’s all you should focus on for now. Next month you can get back to normal. Good news on DHs dental work. Implants are very expensive. Hug hugs and I appreciate you too. 🙂

I always wonder what happens to bloggers who no longer post or have taken down their blogs. … I’ve never met another blogger in person, but it would be fun I think.
Hope your Thursday is going good. <3

  13. darlamsands says:

What a sobering but sweet post. ~hugs~ I am relatively new to the scene but appreciate those I’ve met and, either way, miss those who are no long blogging for whatever reason.

  14. Bette A. Stevens says:

I love our two Grand Cats, Rebel and Shadow! They bring us lots of joy… Also, I’ve had a chance to meet four of my blogger friends in person and that’s been awesome. <3 Happy Thursday, Sandee!

  15. messymimi's meanderings says:

It is a joy to meet people online, then meet up in person and find them as wonderful as they are on the web.

It is hard to lose people, too. All part of community and life, i guess.

Thank you for being a very special part of the community!

    • Sandee says:

We feel the same on this. Many have passed away and one in particular I was so happy to have met. You’re a special part of my community too. 🙂

  16. Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Cinnamon and Barb says:

We too are so very thankful for our blogging furrends!! Some people stop blogging and we wonder where they are and how they are doing. And we have made so many new friends. We are thankful for you Sandee and the hops you host and the time and energy you take to visit and comment! You ROCK and we hope that you and tour loved ones are having a marvellously happy day!

    • Sandee says:

Thank you so much, Barb. I was told long ago if you’re going to do hope you have to visit the folks that play along. I’ve never forgotten that great advice. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a huge hug to you. 🙂

  17. Jan K says:

Things have changed so much since I first started blogging, 9 years ago!, and most of my blog friends from back then have stopped. I’m thankful for the ones that are still going, and that I’ve made other new friends (like you) more recently too! ♥

  18. Jen says:

Animals are the best! Guess what pet we brought home this week? Actually pets…. we now have earth worms in a container and they are beloved 🙂 Geesh!!!
