It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
Today I’m thankful that all my Christmas shopping is done. Hubby and I both hate to shop and it’s a huge relief when we get the shopping done.
I’m thankful for my grand and great grands. It’s fun to watch my granddaughter work hard getting her life in order. She’s going to school to be a nurse. She’s so determined to succeed. I’m so proud of her.
I’m thankful that my granddaughter is such a good mother to my three great grands. They all bring us such joy.
I’m thankful that yesterday The Shutter Company called to let us know they will be installing our shutters next week. I’m so ready to have shutters on the windows instead of the paper coverings.
What are you thankful for today?
1. Brian’s Home 2. Eastside Cats 3. Messymimi 4. It’s a Snap! 5. Our Card 6. Animal Shelter Life 7. Timmy Tomcat 8. Zoolatry 9. Two Spoiled Cats |

It really is good to remain thankful year round and not just at an annual holiday, isn’t it? After a challenging week, I had to forcefully stop and think about this. I am thankful that positive growth can come from challenges. I am thankful for family. And I am thankful for good books that inspire me to be a better person. And I am thankful for a post that made me think. 😊
Challenges are a good thing. I love good books too and we have many books. 🙂
Our Christmas shopping is finished also and that’s always a great thing!
It sure is, Miss Molly. I always do a happy dance when we’re done. 🙂
I don’t like shopping any more and I hate trying to pick gifts for other people. I’m pretty sure that everyone is just going to get gift cards this year
I hear you on the gift cards. It’s safer indeed. 🙂
Lovely thankful list. You are so blessed with great grand children. Have a beautiful day.
Yes we are very blessed, Nancy. You have a beautiful day too. 🙂
Mom still has some shopping to do, but she knows pretty much what she needs to find, so it isn’t so bad. It’s more fun to shop for kids as they are much easier, so enjoy you grand and great grand kids. Around here the only Grands are us hounds, the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeens 😉
Getting near the end is a good thing. You hounds make me smile every single day. 🙂
No shopping done here, we don’t do gifts, but I do remember when in the distant past, i was always thankful when it was done.. I am thankful we don’t do gifts anymore.. now i am wondering what kind of shutters and why there is paper on your windows… out door shutters? indoor blinds? new windows ?
That’s not a bad thing. So many go into debt over the holidays. We refuse to do that. If we don’t have the cash then we don’t spend. We stick to our budget. 🙂
Those are terrific thankfuls and we’re glad to hear a new nurse is in the making! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
She’s doing very well too. She’s has a knack for all medical things. Thanks for hosting the fun. 🙂
Still much to be thankful for. Also, the cookie ppicture makes me want to lick the screen!
It won’t taste all that good, but I understand. 🙂
Kudos to your granddaughter!!
Oh know you will love the shutters so much easier to open and close.
Hugs Cecilia
I know how hard she’s working and we’re so proud of her. 🙂
Sandee,
I don’t like shopping, either. We haven’t bought the first gift for our family yet but we already got each others’ presents. We want to order gifts closer to Christmas to have them shipped to our kids, my parents, and sister. This is such a strange year. Oh well…let’s hope things reset in the new year for the better. 🙂 WOW, that’s awesome your granddaughter is going to school while raising a family. I know that’s hard work. My oldest niece did the same thing and now her sister is doing the same thing. They both have children. I’m very proud of them. I think of the kids who have it easy but squander the opportunity to pursue other interests causing financial hardship for themselves. I’m thankful that I’m making steady progress on getting things done my list. I’m also thankful for our upcoming staycation next week. Yippee, I get to spend more time with DH! 🙂 Enjoy the beautiful Christmas season, darlin’ friend!
We’re on schedule here too. We do a little bit each day and we’re not overwhelmed during this time of year. My granddaughter is amazing. 🙂
Beautiful thankfuls today – and new shutters, yay! You’ll have to snap some photos once they are up so we can see what they look like.
Will do. I can hardly wait. 🙂
We don’t do Christmas shopping except for getting a few surprises for each other from our regular online sites. I’m glad your shutters will be soon be installed. Happy Thursday.
We don’t buy for each other, but the grands and the greats and a few service people that take good care of us all year. 🙂
😉
Thankful for family every day–for phone call and Facetime with daughters, grands and great grands. Thankful for Hubby who is the best!
You and I both have great hubbies. We’re lucky. 🙂
Wonderful thank yous ~and congrats to your daughter ~ she is amazing going to nursing school and having 3 children besides! Whew ~
Xox to you and hubby from me and Angel,
Live each moment well,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
She’s a hard worker and her life partner is so supportive of her. We are thankful for that. 🙂
Always thankful for the grand girls! Congrats to your daughter for pursuing a passion…especially nursing during this volatile time in health care. I would pray too! Hope you and yours are having wonderful holidays. xoxo
She is such a blessing. Works very hard and understands that she can do nothing or do something to take care of her family. 🙂
With all we have challenging us this year having thanks for the small things is still most important
I agree with you. If we look we can find many blessings in our lives. 🙂
I’m happy my parents’ Christmas present was delivered today, so we now are all set for the holidays.
Your granddaughter is the kind of person we need, you have every right to be proud.
Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday.
That’s a good feeling when you’re done. Excellent. I’m very proud of my granddaughter. 🙂
I am most thankful for being back HOME!!
I’m happy you’re home too. Doing the happy dance right along with you. 🙂
I am thankful that I can pet cats while on my coffee break!
That is most wonderful indeed. 🙂
How wonderful that your shopping is done! It sounds like your Granddaughter is a phenomenal person, just as i would expect.
She is indeed. She’s driven and many of her family members are in the medical field one way or another. 🙂
I am thankful for all our nieces and nephews who are such hard workers and amazing parents! Have a lovely day Sandee- I love your thankfuls! xoxo
Got your cards today. Thank you so much. You’re a great friend. 🙂
Happy Thankful Thursday!! We loved reading all the things you are thankful for. It’s always a relief when you get the Christmas shopping completed early so then you can take your time on the wrapping. Thanks for sharing. Have a great rest of your day.
We hate to shop so getting it done is a good thing for both of us. You have a great rest of the day too. 🙂
Nice thankfuls. How nice that your granddaughter is going to be a nurse- I have great admiration for them.
She loves all things medicine. Her next step is passing the boards then working six months in the field and then back in school to become a registered nurse. She’s very driven. 🙂
I am thankful that it was finally warm enough this morning so I could take Luke for a walk! Our weather had been like the middle of January up until today! I just cannot make myself go out when it’s 20 degrees and windy! 🙂
It’s been cold here too. I’m glad Luke got to go for a walk. Tell him I love him and am sending him a big smooch. 🙂
I’m thankful our trusted contractor cleaned all our gutters and downspouts today. Be well, my dear.
We didn’t do that this year, but next year we’re replacing all of them. We’re going to get the kind that you don’t need to clean. No ladders and roofs for us. 🙂
I’m also thankful all our Christmas presents are bought, here, and hiding 🎁🎄🤗((Hugs))
It’s a good thing to be done. 🙂
I’m just hoping that someone would leave my cage door open.
I would do that for you if I could, Kismet. I love you. 🙂
Good for you to get all your Christmas shopping done. We are doing ours online due to the pandemic.
We did the same. Makes it easier for us. 🙂
Pretty jealous of you finished with your holiday shopping. It’s probably going to be down to the last minute for me!
We only do for the grands and great grands and that’s not all that hard. 🙂
Ugh, I have more shopping to do. This year online shopping has become my fave and is so very easy!!
A few more family members to shop for and then hopefully I am done.
Take care!
We enjoy the online experience anymore. At our ages we don’t want to go to the mall anymore. 🙂
I’m thankful for the nice weather we had today so that I was able to go on a nice Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride
I’m happy you’re enjoying summer. It’s cold here. 🙂
