Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

Today I’m thankful that all my Christmas shopping is done. Hubby and I both hate to shop and it’s a huge relief when we get the shopping done.

I’m thankful for my grand and great grands. It’s fun to watch my granddaughter work hard getting her life in order. She’s going to school to be a nurse. She’s so determined to succeed. I’m so proud of her.

I’m thankful that my granddaughter is such a good mother to my three great grands. They all bring us such joy.

I’m thankful that yesterday The Shutter Company called to let us know they will be installing our shutters next week. I’m so ready to have shutters on the windows instead of the paper coverings.

What are you thankful for today?

It really is good to remain thankful year round and not just at an annual holiday, isn’t it? After a challenging week, I had to forcefully stop and think about this. I am thankful that positive growth can come from challenges. I am thankful for family. And I am thankful for good books that inspire me to be a better person. And I am thankful for a post that made me think. 😊

Mom still has some shopping to do, but she knows pretty much what she needs to find, so it isn’t so bad. It’s more fun to shop for kids as they are much easier, so enjoy you grand and great grand kids. Around here the only Grands are us hounds, the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeens 😉

No shopping done here, we don’t do gifts, but I do remember when in the distant past, i was always thankful when it was done.. I am thankful we don’t do gifts anymore.. now i am wondering what kind of shutters and why there is paper on your windows… out door shutters? indoor blinds? new windows ?

That’s not a bad thing. So many go into debt over the holidays. We refuse to do that. If we don’t have the cash then we don’t spend. We stick to our budget. 🙂

    Sandee,

I don’t like shopping, either. We haven’t bought the first gift for our family yet but we already got each others’ presents. We want to order gifts closer to Christmas to have them shipped to our kids, my parents, and sister. This is such a strange year. Oh well…let’s hope things reset in the new year for the better. 🙂 WOW, that’s awesome your granddaughter is going to school while raising a family. I know that’s hard work. My oldest niece did the same thing and now her sister is doing the same thing. They both have children. I’m very proud of them. I think of the kids who have it easy but squander the opportunity to pursue other interests causing financial hardship for themselves. I’m thankful that I’m making steady progress on getting things done my list. I’m also thankful for our upcoming staycation next week. Yippee, I get to spend more time with DH! 🙂 Enjoy the beautiful Christmas season, darlin’ friend!

Beautiful thankfuls today – and new shutters, yay! You’ll have to snap some photos once they are up so we can see what they look like.

We don’t do Christmas shopping except for getting a few surprises for each other from our regular online sites. I’m glad your shutters will be soon be installed. Happy Thursday.

Always thankful for the grand girls! Congrats to your daughter for pursuing a passion…especially nursing during this volatile time in health care. I would pray too! Hope you and yours are having wonderful holidays. xoxo

I’m happy my parents’ Christmas present was delivered today, so we now are all set for the holidays.
Your granddaughter is the kind of person we need, you have every right to be proud.
    Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday.

Happy Thankful Thursday!! We loved reading all the things you are thankful for. It’s always a relief when you get the Christmas shopping completed early so then you can take your time on the wrapping. Thanks for sharing. Have a great rest of your day.

She loves all things medicine. Her next step is passing the boards then working six months in the field and then back in school to become a registered nurse. She’s very driven. 🙂

I am thankful that it was finally warm enough this morning so I could take Luke for a walk! Our weather had been like the middle of January up until today! I just cannot make myself go out when it’s 20 degrees and windy! 🙂

    • Sandee says:

We didn’t do that this year, but next year we’re replacing all of them. We’re going to get the kind that you don’t need to clean. No ladders and roofs for us. 🙂

Ugh, I have more shopping to do. This year online shopping has become my fave and is so very easy!!

A few more family members to shop for and then hopefully I am done.

    Take care!
