It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
Today I’m thankful for new windows for our home. We live in a Bright built home. It’s well made, but the windows have always been pretty awful. Streaked and just ugly windows. We decided on Renewal by Andersen. They have a great reputation and top of the line windows. We have 26 windows, plus a patio door and one French doors to replace.
The windows below are not our windows but it gives you an idea of what they look like. Ours are all white.

They are currently working on replacement of the windows. This is day two and I can’t believe the difference. Beautiful. Tomorrow morning the shutter company comes to measure and start working on the shutters. No more mini-blinds for us.

That is one beautiful window. The windows in my house are very cheap ones. When my house was built they didn’t use the best quality materials. One day I would like to replace mine. I have way less windows in my house
Almost all track homes have cheap windows. These new windows are awesome. Hugs. 🙂
Beautiful! No wonder you’re excited. I would love to do that one day!
We are more than thrilled. Just makes our home look fabulous. 🙂
Those are beautiful windows. Ours are just louvered windows.
Thank you, Nancy. We are so happy with the new look. 🙂
New windows are always such fun! We are thankful for cooler temps.
This will be the first time we’ve had new windows. Nice ones that is. 🙂
Congrats on getting your new windows. Have a beautiful day 🤗((Hugs))
We are most pleased. Big hugs. 🙂
We have lousy windows too, but the worst is our sliding glass door which is probably the most used door in the house and it is falling apart. At some point, we will need to replace that for sure, windows may have to wait. Enjoy your new windows and a clear view to the great outdoors.
They take the lowest bid on track homes. It’s the way of things. 🙂
Yay for new windows, we could use a few too. this one is gorgeous.. can’t wait to see yours when it is done. that is a lot of windows. i love having light come in. i think i would like the blinds that are inside the windows, but not sure. by shutters, do you mean the plantation shutters? i would love those
They are doing finish work today. When they leave they will be even prettier than they are now. Yes that kind of window coverings. 🙂
I dream of new windows! And new siding, roof, doors, deck, front porch, electric to the barn…
hehehe!
I hear you. After 19 years here there are things that needed our attention. 🙂
I love you my Only. Thanks for letting us get windows.
Your loving Husband
I love you too, my only. Thank you for letting us get new windows.
Your loving wife. 🙂
Thankful that when this rain finally ends, the weather will cool. Looking forward to Fall so much! Wishing my life away, I know. Have a great day my friend, and I wis I could send y’all some rain!
You can send that rain our way. It would help with the fires. 🙂
Is the outside so orange because of autumn or fires?
Fires. These aren’t our windows. They are like our windows. 🙂
Hooray for new windows, we need a bunch too. I know you’ll enjoy those! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I was embarrassed by our old windows. These are beautiful. 🙂
Good windows changes the whole home, we’re starting slowly and I’m amazed at the difference.
We can see that for sure. Getting the window coverings will be the cherry on top of the sundae. 🙂
Hi,
Beautiful windows! Thanks for stopping by my place..have a great day!
We love them. Thanks for stopping by too. You have a great day. 🙂
Lovely… Thankful that hubby washed down and repainted siding and trim this summer… We’re looking pretty, BUT now I must get the windows washed and then we’ll be glorious! 🙂 Your new windows will be grand! xo
I hear you. It’s good to get things done. 🙂
We bet those windows look gorgeous!! We also hope they aren’t looking out on smokey skies(the skies on the coast have finally cleared)!
So thankful we are seeing misty rain here today!
We are still in smoke, but it’s gettinf better. Send us some rain. 🙂

Our old windows were horrible. We are so happy with the new look.
Big hug to you, Carol and lots of lovies to Angel. 🙂
Amazing how new windows can make a home have a whole new look. I love those windows and I imagine your home will look gorgeous when all is said and done. Happy Thursday!
It’s making a huge difference. We are impressed. Happy Thursday. 🙂
You never think much about windows until you get new ones, and then it’s amazing the difference it makes. We had ours done a couple of years ago.
Happy Thursday! <3
Its amazing indeed. We can’t get over the difference. 🙂
Getting new windows is something to be thankful for. My hubby had vinyl replacements put in the year before we got married in 1991 and I think we are ready for new ones again. XO
I hear you. They do take a beating in the weather. 🙂
A view like that is definitely something to be grateful for. So lovely. Congrats on your replacement windows and shutters. I’ll bet you’ll be thrilled when the project is completed.
We are halfway done today. Tomorrow we’ll order up the shutters. I don’t know how long it will take to get them. We’re patient though. 🙂
No doubt, it’ll be well worth any wait. 😊
Awesome windows! And you will love your new shutters! Cheers!
I know we will. Love you, Kathe. 🙂
We have several windows that also need to be replaced, but it sure does get pricey. We have all those big tall windows across the back of our house – mega $$$ You will have to take a pic for us once the blinds are done too.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Will do. These weren’t cheap either. We have a few large windows and the do cist a lot to replace. 🙂
How exciting! If yours look have as lovely as the photo, I’d be thankful for them too! And, just in time to weather winter.
They are as lovely. Not the view, but the windows are fabulous. Yes just in time for the winter weather. Happy Thankful Thursday. 🙂
At least I’m thankful for my family & friends. Today I took my Camero in because one of the tires was loosing air. After 2 hours I left buying 2 tires for the back tires. They cost me $1000. Happy Thursday Sandee. At least they will protect us when we go the road. Thanks for that. Have a great day.
Cruisin Paul
Wow, that’s expensive for two tires. At least you’re now safe on the road. That’s a good thing Paul. 🙂
you and I were busy this week,I got my Stair lift chai installed and you got new windows.
Yes and today the shutter man was here and we ordered our new shutters. They will be here in December. I’m so happy. 🙂
I’m adding a backup generator as well they about 6 months out from install.
Oh, hooray!
Yes, we are most happy right now. The shutter guy had a bunch of paper window coverings and he put them up for us today. We can now have some privacy. 🙂
That is a most awesome view out that window.
I wish that was our view. We live in a tract home so we have a neighbor behind us. It’s all good though. 🙂
We have bay windows in the living room and the front bedroom! We replaced cheap ugly 60’s windows 25 years ago with these beauties. At the time they were top of the line and they still fit beautifully. There (still) is no draft off of them even when its really cold. The cats and plants love them. Shutters is a great idea!
You will LOVE your new windows!
Barbie
We already love our new windows and they are most energy efficient. They are beautiful. 🙂
W O W ! Gorgeous, I am hopeful we can do this one day too. Right now we have the solar and working in our garage and backyard. So many trees to deal with too. I am super late but this was not my best day 🙂 HUGS across the miles XO XO
Big hugs and you’re never late. As long as you show up it’s all good. Love you. 🙂
Wow! You have a lot of windows. We replaced all of our doors and windows because the house got soooo cold in the winter. As it turns out, the original heat pump was undersized to the point my brother worried about our indoor pipes freezing. Now we own one that’s state-of-the-art. Enjoy your new windows! ~hugs~ And be well, my dear.
The windows are amazing. They exceeding our expectations. You be well too and big hugs. 🙂
I love a house with lots of windows. Yours will be so bright and beautiful with new windows!
Yes it is right now. Got some of the new windows covered and some will have to wait for the paper to arrive. Won’t get the shutters until December. 🙂
How exciting! I would live in a room with windows like that. We got a new ac unit this spring and this summer as it chugged along so quietly I was so very grateful!
Updating things is a good thing. Our new windows have exceeded our expectations. We are most pleased. 🙂
