Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.

I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.

Today I’m thankful for new windows for our home. We live in a Bright built home. It’s well made, but the windows have always been pretty awful. Streaked and just ugly windows.  We decided on Renewal by Andersen. They have a great reputation and top of the line windows. We have 26 windows, plus a patio door and one French doors to replace.

The windows below are not our windows but it gives you an idea of what they look like. Ours are all white.

They are currently working on replacement of the windows. This is day two and I can’t believe the difference. Beautiful. Tomorrow morning the shutter company comes to measure and start working on the shutters. No more mini-blinds for us.

What are you thankful for today?

That is one beautiful window. The windows in my house are very cheap ones. When my house was built they didn’t use the best quality materials. One day I would like to replace mine. I have way less windows in my house

  2. My GBGV Life says:

We have lousy windows too, but the worst is our sliding glass door which is probably the most used door in the house and it is falling apart. At some point, we will need to replace that for sure, windows may have to wait. Enjoy your new windows and a clear view to the great outdoors.

Lovely… Thankful that hubby washed down and repainted siding and trim this summer… We’re looking pretty, BUT now I must get the windows washed and then we’ll be glorious! 🙂 Your new windows will be grand! xo

We bet those windows look gorgeous!! We also hope they aren’t looking out on smokey skies(the skies on the coast have finally cleared)!

Amazing how new windows can make a home have a whole new look. I love those windows and I imagine your home will look gorgeous when all is said and done. Happy Thursday!

Getting new windows is something to be thankful for. My hubby had vinyl replacements put in the year before we got married in 1991 and I think we are ready for new ones again. XO

We have several windows that also need to be replaced, but it sure does get pricey. We have all those big tall windows across the back of our house – mega $$$ You will have to take a pic for us once the blinds are done too.

At least I’m thankful for my family & friends. Today I took my Camero in because one of the tires was loosing air. After 2 hours I left buying 2 tires for the back tires. They cost me $1000. Happy Thursday Sandee. At least they will protect us when we go the road. Thanks for that. Have a great day.

Yes, we are most happy right now. The shutter guy had a bunch of paper window coverings and he put them up for us today. We can now have some privacy. 🙂

We have bay windows in the living room and the front bedroom! We replaced cheap ugly 60’s windows 25 years ago with these beauties. At the time they were top of the line and they still fit beautifully. There (still) is no draft off of them even when its really cold. The cats and plants love them. Shutters is a great idea!
You will LOVE your new windows!

W O W ! Gorgeous, I am hopeful we can do this one day too. Right now we have the solar and working in our garage and backyard. So many trees to deal with too. I am super late but this was not my best day 🙂 HUGS across the miles XO XO

Wow! You have a lot of windows. We replaced all of our doors and windows because the house got soooo cold in the winter. As it turns out, the original heat pump was undersized to the point my brother worried about our indoor pipes freezing. Now we own one that’s state-of-the-art. Enjoy your new windows! ~hugs~ And be well, my dear.

    • Sandee says:

Yes it is right now. Got some of the new windows covered and some will have to wait for the paper to arrive. Won’t get the shutters until December. 🙂

  15. Jen says:

How exciting! I would live in a room with windows like that. We got a new ac unit this spring and this summer as it chugged along so quietly I was so very grateful!
