It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
I’m thankful we are well and doing fine. My nails and toes need attention and a hair cut is something both hubby and I need. I’ll never take these things for granted again.
I’m thankful that the stores are stocked much better than when this first happened. There were a few visits that there wasn’t much food to buy. We haven’t seen toilet paper or paper towels in our local Raley’s for a month and a half. Not to mention bar soap, Clorox, hand sanitizer, dish washing soap or laundry soap. Seeing some of these items return to the shelves has made us smile.
I’m thankful that fear didn’t rule the day for hubby and I. Hubby and I worked in a unhealthy environment for many years. We were cautious, but we knew that panic and fear cannot be what drives you.
What are you thankful for today?

“Feel the fear and do it anyway” (except taking risks with coronavirus of course) 😉
I’m grateful to slightly better product stock now too. Flour seems to have replaced toilet roll now but we can live without that. All shelves for flour totally empty in many stores here at the moment.
Are you & hubby going to attempt a DIY haircut? xx
We are taking no risks, but we refuse to let fear rule us. No we’re not going to do our own haircuts. Just no. 🙂
I’m thankful that I haven’t gone without anything that I need during the last couple months. It’s still hard to find some things in the stores but the one I work at has done an excellent job of keeping shelves stocked.
Same here, Ann. Hubby and I are the kind of folks that lay in extra supplies for this very reason. 🙂
Lots of times it is hard to be thankful with the news media perpetuating the fear in all and the hoarding behavior. We are thankful we have what we need for now and hope that continues, and we stay healthy.
I turned off the news long ago. They are doing nothing but spreading fear. 🙂
Today we are thankful for work!
I’m happy you have work. Many don’t right now. 🙂
I’m thankful it’s not taking a week before I can pickup my groceries now. 🙂
A week. Wow. I know the personal shoppers work hard at our local store. 🙂
We are so thankful for all of our blogging buddies. And we are thankful that the cats at the moment are healthy. You all have a fantastic day.
Me too, Marg. I enjoy visiting all my friends. You have a fantastic day too. 🙂
Thankful that we’ve been able to stay “healthy” during all this mess.
Amen to that. 🙂
We like UP’s thoughts about staying healthy through these tough times and for that, we are thankful.
Yes being healthy is the most important part of this. 🙂
I am thankful we have had all that we need in the past locked down weeks, 8 weeks of it. the longer this goes on the more fears pop up, but i am thankful we have been safe thus far.. it does get harder to be UP while the world is down.
We’re fine here too. My nails and my hair need attention, but outside of that we’re doing okay. 🙂
Those are wonderful thankfuls and we thankful for people like you who looked out for so many for a long time. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you for the kind words, Terry. 🙂
Mom hasn’t been in a grocery store in weeks, but she says her online orders are getting a bit better as far as completion. Still no tp or paper towels in the brands she prefers. And she has bar soap on order with Amazon, and the estimated ship date after four weeks already on order is June 15th!!!
Woos, Lightning and Timber
I’m glad you’re getting your groceries much better. We’ve not done shopping this way. It’s a great way to get groceries for those that need this service. 🙂
I am thankful that my hair seems to grow at a pretty good clip; I figure it’s a blessing and means that my health is good.
Since I’ve been keeping it very short, this new grown-out hairdo is kinda fun, and I have less grey than it seemed when short.
You’re lucky then. I think I’ll start using product to help with the unruly hair. 🙂
I’m so sorry your stores are still low on things. Ours are much better, we even found hand sanitizer for the first time in months! We had been making our own, so we were stocked with that. I’m thankful for so many things that I always took for granted now, if this thing does anything, it does bring home what is really important in our lives.
We’re okay now, but when this first hit people were buying everything. We’re okay now, but still toilet paper is rare. It’s all good. 🙂
What wonderful and meaningful thankfuls today.
Oh dear I can just imagine all the hair on floors of salons when they open..
We too are shaggy. I’ve often thought about letting my grow a tad so this has been my chance.
Hugs Cecilia
It’s going to be something for sure. Hubby and I are looking very shaggy. I just purchased tools to trim my acrylic nails. Way too long. I’ve never looked so bad. 🙂
As long as Raley’s has sunflower seeds, you’ll have all the necessities.
You’re right about that, Kismet. Let me know if you need anything. 🙂
I’m thankful that we have enough toilet paper. Before I was wasting it and now I have learned to the proper way.
I’m thankful that we have been healthy during this situation and I’m thankful for my God being with we through this scary time. There is so much to be thankful for but it would be to long to write about.
Stay safe Sandee.
Cruisin Paul
We have enough of everything and I’m happy about that too. Stay safe too. 🙂
Right now I am thankful for my blogging friends that come by to check on me and the furs! Esp when I am so terrible about getting around at reading and commenting! I am thankful for this beautiful morn on the deck with my furs. Thankful to be in my childhood home. Thankful that I was able to roll out of the bed this morn! Have a great day.
I’m thankful for my blogging buddies too. We keep each sane. You have a great day too. 🙂
Wish less people were operating from fear ~ Your list of thankfuls are great ~ am thankful for your list ~ ^_^
Lots of hugs to you both from me and Zoe ^_^
Be Well,

Fear doesn’t help one bit. Be safe, but let go of the fear. Great way to do that it turn off the news. 🙂
we are doing fine and you and Zane are obviously doing well also! My hair is getting longer and longer and I actually like it this way! I do not like how I painted my toes…but ah well. We are thankful for our continued good health, all our neighbors are doing well and our friends and family near and far are doing fine also. Whew. The stores continue to have plenty of supplies and I think most folks know not to hoard . Take care and hopefully by May you can get out on the water! xoxoxo
I can’t stand my hair, but you know how short I keep my hair. Wait, kept my hair. Oh well, it is what it is. Going to trim my acrylic nails as soon as my Amazon order arrives.
Glad you’re doing well. Love you. 🙂
we are thankful that we ordered some meat online right when we heard there may be a shortage. We aren’t hoarding at all but we ordered a few things just to have in the house. We are thankful that last week we found Clorox wipes, toilet paper and paper towels. I order my bar soap online from QVC. I am extremely thankful for QVC because there are many things I can get there…Amazon too! I am most thankful that you, your hubby, us and others are healthy! xoxo
Our meat counters look the same as they did before the scare. We are not in need of anything right now and we’re happy about that. Love you back. 🙂
Our stores are still struggling with staying stocked even though we were able to buy TP. I cut my own hair and have for years. It’s long, all one length except for my bangs. One of my hairdressers from years ago taught me how to cut my own bangs. My hubby, on the other hand, is starting to look like a hippie. His hair is curly and while I am no pro at cutting hair, I trimmed his hair. Actually, it looks pretty good! Now, my nails are another story. My nail salon just reopened but I am not ready to go back yet. We’re in good health and that is what matters the most. Happy Thursday!
I just ordered equipment to trim my acrylic nails. Like they use in the shops, so I can at least cut my claws down to size. I’m not going to remove the nails though. I’ve had them for to many years and the nails underneath are toast. It is what it is. I just don’t want to break them. That would be very bad. Happy Thursday. 🙂
My nail tech uses the dip powder method (SNS nails). It is a lot kinder to your natural nail and stays on forever. I couldn’t get it off and just let it grow out. My nails underneath are healthy but I want my SNS nails back. They look so much nicer than my nails. The acrylic nails destroyed my natural nails and that was 5 years ago.
I’m thankful that I glean so many pearls of wisdom coming to your blog. I have to admit there are times when fear does drive me in all of this mess and mainly because I can’t find an honest answer about any of it. If I understood, if someone would educate me on what is really happening then I would have a plan, I would act instead of react, if that makes sense. Recently I just said I’ll just be smart about it. I won’t go licking store shelves but if I go out I’ll take my mask and I’ll do social distancing and washing my hands, etc. Common sense can get a person thru a lot of stuff in life. 🙂 Now if I could just shut that news off! – Oh! And I’m thankful for YOU!!! Love you bunches! <3
I shut the news off long ago. We really don’t have media anymore. It’s all the left against the right. Period and I don’t want to hear it. I love you too, Karen. 🙂
Today I’m thankful for a beautiful day and we’re going to have to suck it up cuz tomorrow is supposed to be 20 degrees colder. BUMMER! Plus it’s supposed to be cold all the way until next week for pity sakes. What a bummer. On top of all that we got our property taxes today and they went up! You know they give you the stimulus check… what to take it back in taxes??? So sad, so very sad indeed…. AND A BUMMER!!! hahaha Well, what the heck ya can’t cry about it might as well laugh our heads off. Not going to worry about that now. It’s nice out and we’re going for a walk. Sending big hugs and I’m thankful for having wonderful friends and you my sista from another mother… are my bestest friend in the whole wide world! SENDING BIG HUGS and I luv ya soooooooooooooooooo much!!! Hold on to your hat 20 degrees colder tomorrow! What a bummer! Woo Hoo! later my friend……………….. HUGS
Yes, they always get the money back somehow. I live in California and they tax everything several times. Bless their hearts. It’s warm here. Upper 80s for a handful of days. Love you bunches, Marie. Big hugs. 🙂
Groceries are becoming more available here too. It’s nice to see not just paper products, but produce returning to our shelves.
We’re even seeing flour return. It’s a wonderful thing. 🙂
Thankful for sunshine, green leaf buds on trees, songbirds arriving, call from daughter… So much to be grateful for!
Yes indeed. Spring is a time of renewal. It always makes me smile. 🙂
It is nice to see things returning to the shelves. I wish it would happen quicker though, especially the clorox wipes. XO
There are a few things you can’t find, and those are one of them. I’m glad we had more wipes than we though. 🙂
We are facing the same shortages but we are going strong
Yes we are too and I’m happy about that. 🙂
I am thankful that we have all that we need. There is more than enough for everyone.in all the supermarket. So far no shortages. Thankful that we are all safe and doing our part to stay safe.
Same here too, Nancy. We have what we need and we’re happy about that. 🙂
The fear was crazy! You both are smart and experienced enough to know that living through fear gets you nowhere fast!
I found hand sanitizer this week and was like wowza, BIG score!!
We ordered some and got it today. We had some, but very little. Happy weekend. 🙂
We hope the supply chain catches up to demand soon. Still a lot of empty shelves in stores and while it’s nice to get out of the house, I don’t want to expose myself unnecessarily in grocery stores where too many still don’t wear masks.
Yep, it’s been a lot of empty shelves for the last couple of month. I hope the supply chain catches up soon too. 🙂
I have not yet ventured to any of the big stores, but I’m glad to hear that things are showing back up! It seems like shopping has gotten so complicated these days! But I’m thankful hubby works at a store so he can get us the supplies we need more easily.
If you’re going to Costco you’d better go very early if you want toilet paper or paper towels. Outside of that thing are looking up. Glad things are good for you. 🙂
