Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
Florida in July:
Hot water comes out of both taps.
You find out that a seat-belt buckle makes a pretty nice branding iron.
The trees are whistling for the dogs.
You find out that you can get sunburned through your car window.
The birds need to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
You burn your hand opening the car door.
The temperature drops below 95 and you put on a sweater.
You can make instant sun tea.
Shade determines the best parking space, not distance.
Farmers feed their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard boiled eggs.
When you step outside at 7:30 a.m., you break into a sweat.
Potatoes cook underground. This is convenient because all you have to do is pull one out and add salt, pepper and butter.
You discover that asphalt has a liquid state.
You realize that it only takes two fingers to steer your car.

It gets might hot in Florida. đŸ™‚
Wow. That sound really hot.
Arizona can give you a run for your money too. đŸ™‚
Those are hysterical. Thanks for the great laugh Sandee. Love the hard boiled eggs one and the birds and the potholders. Sure made me laugh out loud. Sandee, you and Zane have a really good Sunday.
Well, it's true, Marg. People love Florida though. đŸ™‚
Yep, that's Florida, and most of southern Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, too. One great big swamp down here.
Have a blessed and beautiful Sunday!
It's nice in the winter months though. Still hot, but not like the summer. đŸ™‚
Glad I live in Massachusetts đŸ™‚
I can see why. That's too hot if you ask me. đŸ™‚
So…it gets hot in Florida in the summer?
That's what I hear. I've only been there in the winter and it was lovely. đŸ™‚
I've burnt my hand on my steering wheel before. And I always keep a buckle cover over the metal on my granddaughter's carseat!
You can do this in California too. I've done it more than once. đŸ™‚
So very true! I thought I'd miss Florida a lot more than I do since we moved to N.Ga.! LOL!
I wouldn't want to live in Florida, but visiting in the winter would be fine. đŸ™‚
I miss summer. I love the heat.
I'm not into the heat so much, but warm works for me. đŸ™‚
OMG….glad I live elsewhere! Have a super day…stay dry it's unbelievably windy and pouring rain here…but no complaints from me!xoxo from all 3 ofus!
It was supposed to rain here today, but so far nothing. đŸ™‚
I actually recall being branded by a seat belt buckle…do you realize how long it takes to unsnap one while you are being branded.
I do realize how long it takes to unsnap one…forever. đŸ™‚
The chicken farmers one really cracked me up. I can relate to the shade for parking even here in Tasmanian summer
I'm sure it gets hot there in the summer. You enjoy your good weather. It's cold here. đŸ™‚
wow Florida sounds an awful lot like Arizona in July. I have often done the two finger steering and you wear gloves in the summer (for driving, checking the mail and sundry outdoor activities that require touching anything), not in the winter. That chicken one had me rolling.
Arizona is really hot in the summer. I know a few folks that leave Arizona and vacation elsewhere. đŸ™‚
The potatoes cooking underground would be convenient but then so would the chickens laying hard boiled eggs
I would save a lot of work wouldn't it. đŸ™‚
Hmmmm, That is just like Osoyoos in the summer. Makes me a little homesick to hear the hot jokes! But a good homesick.
Love Barb
Good homesick is a good thing. Much better than a bad homesick. đŸ™‚
I especially like the one, "Farmers feed their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard boiled eggs." Here in Texas summer we can cook on the hot sidewalks.
đŸ™‚
I know. I've been to Texas in the summer. Mighty hot. đŸ™‚
Sounds too hot for me.
It can get really hot. đŸ™‚
Hi Sandee, could be describing here too. The amount of times I've burned myself on the seat belt in summer is nobodies business!
xx
It gets mighty hot here too and I won't admit how many times I've burned myself either. đŸ™‚
