Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
One day an out of work mime is visiting the zoo and attempts to earn some money as a street performer. Unfortunately, as soon as he starts to draw a crowd, a zoo keeper grabs him and drags him into his office. The zoo-keeper explains to the mime that the zoo’s most popular attraction, a gorilla, has died suddenly and the keeper fears that attendance at the zoo will fall off. He offers the mime a job to dress up as the gorilla until they can get another one. The mime accepts.
So the next morning the mime puts on the gorilla suit and enters the cage before crowd comes. He discovers that it’s a great job. He can sleep all he wants, play and make fun of people and he draws bigger crowds than he ever did as a mime. However, eventually the crowds tire of him and he tires of just swinging on tires. He begins to notice that the people are paying more attention to the lion in the cage next to his. Not wanting to lose the attention of his audience, he climbs to the top of his cage, crawls across a partition, and dangles from the top to the lion’s cage. Of course, this makes the lion furious, but the crowd loves it.
At the end of the day the zoo-keeper comes and gives the mime a raise for being such a good attraction. Well, this goes on for some time, the mime keeps taunting the lion, the crowds grow larger, and his salary keeps going up. Then one terrible day when he is dangling over the furious lion, he slips and falls. The mime is terrified. The lion gathers itself and prepares to pounce. The mime is so scared that he begins to run round and round the cage with the lion close behind.
Finally, the mime starts screaming and yelling, “Help, Help me!” but the lion is quick and pounces.
The mime soon finds himself flat on his back looking up at the angry lion and the lion says, ” Shut up you idiot! Do you want to get us both fired?”

Happy Sundee, Sandee! xoxo
You have a happy Sunday too Barb. 🙂
LMAO I didn't expect that punchline heheh!
Have a deceptivetastic day Sandee :-h
I didn't either. 🙂
LOL and here I was expecting the poor mime to end up dead.
I did too. 🙂
Why does that remind me of the 2016 Presidential Race in USA.
It doesn't remind me of that, only because the circus hasn't happened yet. You're spot on if you're referring to 2012, 2008, 2004, 2000, 1996, 1992 ….
Because we keep doing it over and over. 🙂
Kismet nailed it. 🙂
Too funny, especially Timothy's comment. Thanks Sandee for the laugh this morning. Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit have a fantastic day.
Yep, and Kismet too. 🙂
Thanks for the laugh! I was feeling a little cranky this morning as our LPG tank ran out and interfered with my morning coffee, but this made me laugh and has brightened up my day immensely! Cheers – Ellen
Thanks a bunch. Glad to be of service. 🙂
Ah that sounds like a couple of smart fellas, right there. 🙂
Yep, they are a couple of smart fellas. 🙂
I got a kick out of Tim's comment. Your 2016 Presidential Race is going to be wild especially the Republican side. Wow!
Have a lovely Sunday Sandee. See ya.
Oh politics. Our politics stink. 🙂
This is what you'd call a joke with many layers to it!
Many layers indeed. 🙂
I think this is the best yet! Have I said that before?
I didn't see it coming w-) 😛 d-)
You've said this a couple of times. 🙂
Haha! I was just NOT expecting that ending!
I wasn't either. 🙂
Heeheehee! Work together, you crazies!
I think they will do just fine. 🙂

Huge relief. 🙂
That must be a swanky zoo. Fancy that, a talking lion! Lol!
Yep, it's swanky alright. 🙂
I was not expecting that at all! LOL!!! This is great, Sandee, thanks for sharing it, and thank you so much for adding my blog link to this post, you are very kind. 🙂

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Hilarious! And sharing.. Thanks for the link up too! 😀
Share on my friend, share on. 🙂
Very clever ending. I would've preferred a different end for the mime… are there any real animals in that zoo 😉
I'm guessing there aren't any animals at all. 🙂
Yep, it appears to be working very well. 🙂
That is so funny. I didn't see that coming at all. As he fell, I was wondering how this was going be a funny joke.
Yet it did end funny. I was thinking the same thing Rhonda. 🙂
That's a good one!
I thought so too. 🙂
