On some air bases the Air Force is on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle. One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, “What time is it?”
The tower responded, “Who is calling?”
The aircraft replied, ”What difference does it make?”
The tower replied, “It makes a lot of difference.
If it is an American Airlines flight, it is 3 o’clock.
If it is an Air Force plane, it is 1500 hours.
If it is a Navy aircraft, it is 6 bells.
If it is an Army aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3.
If it is a Marine Corps aircraft, it’s Thursday afternoon.”
LOL, too funny.
I thought so too Ann. 🙂
LOLOL hilarious =D>
Have a militarytastic day Sandee :-h
I'll have a paramititarytastic day. I wasn't in the military, but worked for a paramilitary organization. 🙂
A lot of difference it is. 😀
Yes it is. Perspective is a very different thing in the military. 🙂
If it is a plane carrying someone running for President, "It's time to rehearse those lies for the debate".
Preach it Kismet, preach it. 🙂
Good one! Hubby loved it.
Have a great weekend, as usual.
Big hugs, honey…
You have a wonderful cruise honey. I know you will. 🙂
that is too funny! Still chuckling! Smiles and hugs to you and Zane!
Smiles and hugs to you and Russell. We'll do real hugs in June and Miss Lucy is going to get lots of scritches. 🙂
Good one.
Have a great day!
Only the military can be this messed up. Well, government too. Not much difference. 🙂
Very funny, except I'm not sure if it is making fun of the Marines or somehow showing showing them extra respect (which they deserve.)
I guess I go by big hand little hand.
I respect every branch of the military. I just thought this was cute. All the different perception of what time it is. 🙂
I know you do, the comment was directed at my ignorance as I didn't get the last one. Like I said, I go by the hand size.
I know you know I do…One flight per week. I love the Marines a lot. Hubby served in the Army in the late 60s. He laughed at the big hand little hand. 🙂
A little military humor! And military time always confuses me.
The little secret to military time is add two to whatever time it is. Say it's 1:00pm, at two and now it's 1300 hours. Easy. 🙂
LOL! That's hilarious! Also, I love your new background! 😀
Thank you on the Valentines Day background. 🙂
I love this one! Thank you for the tip on adding two to whatever time it is! They use military time at a site I use and it throws me often.
Once you know that trick military time isn't difficult. Pretty soon you don't have to add two. 🙂
Heeheehee! That's one i'll have to read to Little Girl!
She may come back one day and tell you this is true. 🙂
Hubby got a good chuckle outta that one. I laughed at the army response. Lol!
Military folks get this. 🙂
LOL – Funny stuff.
And true too. 🙂
The pet rock doesn't get the 'six bells'…
Or eight bells either I'm guessing. 🙂
Sounds like nap time to me.
Why not Binky. 🙂
