Each week, Kymber of Booomcha posts three questions in an effort to helps us get to know each other better. I decided it would be a fun meme to do.
Here are 3 questions:
1. If you could be fluent in any language instantly, which would you choose?
2. If you could live in any fictional world from a book or movie, where would you choose?
3. What’s the strangest talent you wish you had?
Here are my answers:
1. Spanish. There are many Spanish speaking people in California.
2. Downton Abbey, but only if I’m rich. A magical time.
3. Folding a fitted sheet. Mine end up in a messy ball.
And that, my friends, is a touch of booomcha. And now, it’s your turn! If you don’t want to participate, no problem! Of course, lurkers are always heartily welcome, too. Just head over to Kymber’s Round #83 to participate.
Norwegian. One of my ancestral backgrounds.
I’d live in a world where I was capable of time travel, but not in a manner that I could interact with or change the past; only record it. A lot of ancient mysteries could be solved conclusively that way without an unforeseen impact on today or the future.
I wish I could sing without sounding like William Hung.
Love your answers. Have a great day and weekend, Mike. My best to Seymour. 🙂
French and I would love to live on Prince Edward Island with Anne of Green Gables. Not sure about the strangest talent. I need more time to think on this.
Love your second answer. Way cool. 🙂
Good answers. I couldn’t think of a single thing for any of these. I must need more coffee.
Sometimes nothing comes to mind. Coffee helps. 🙂
Spanish, because there are more Spanish speakers in Florida that you have I think.
I love Florida, which means IF I were Rich, somewhere else in Florida, but no where in the books I read.
I would like to be able to lose all my fears
Great answers. Happy day and weekend. Scritches to handsome Beau. 🙂
Mom gave up on folding a fitted sheet years ago. She washes it and puts it right back on the bed so no folding needed but we do have spare ones that are all wrinkled. Who cares, they are sheets at our house, not at a hotel, LOL!
That’s a great way not to fold a fitted sheet. Great idea. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
Ancient Arameric, it would be so cool to actually speak a dead language.
Star Trek. Sorry I’m a geek
Gymnastics. I want to do a onehanded hand stand.
🤣😎🙃
Star Trek is a great choice. Happy day and weekend. 🙂
It’s all in the fitted sheets corners; match ’em up, fold in half, match ’em up again, and another fold.
I often find wayward socks or undies in those fitted sheet pockets, after laundry day.
Lucky you for figuring out how to fold a fitted sheet. Happy day and weekend. 🙂
LOL…Fitted sheets were my nemesis, I finally watched a YouTube video on how to fold them.
Didn’t help one bit!
Didn’t help me either. Oh well. 🙂
1) Spanish…would come in handy many times over.
2) The world of Andy Griffith
3) I always wanted the ability to crush cars and throw them off the side of the road when I’m driving on the freeway.
Love your answers to the second question. That would be fun. 🙂
1) Spanish or French
2) Gilmore Girls
3) I wish I could go back in time, but know what I know now (lol)
Gilmore Girls. How fun. Hugs. 🙂
What fun! Loved your answers. Yes, spanish would be a good second language. I recently got a new library card for the new neighborhood and learned they do online classes. I may just take some to at least be somewhat literate. Downton Abbey would be a lovely period to live in. But not as the staff. While I loved that show, I think the staff’s role in make the estate work wasn’t as accurate as it was portrayed. Being a cook, maid or footman was hard work. Lastly I’m rather proud I learned how to fold fitted sheets so they don’t look like a rolled up ball. But it took a long time. I just wish I could easily figure out a way to easily put a clean duvet cover on a comforter. That’s practically an Olympic sport!
I loved that show. I gave up on the fitted sheets. Love and hugs to you and scritches to handsome Wilson. 🙂
I watch it whenever it’s on PBS. The characters were divine! Wilson says many thanks for the scritches. Have a wonderful weekend, dear Sandee.
Mama says Chinese or Japanese so that she can speak to all the tourists she runs into in Rome who don’t speak English and also can order foods at those restaurants more easily, haha. Would live in Three Pines in books by Louise Penny. But love where we live now.
Lay sheet out on bed. Fold in elastic corners and sides, then just fold and fold and fold until it looks as if you really can do, haha. Fools ’em every time. Inside it’s a mess…
Love your answers. Love your take on the fitted sheet. I laughed out loud. 🙂
Great answers! I can identify with folding fitted sheets. Mine always end up in a messy ball. Have a great weekend!
I’ve watched the videos and I still can’t fold a fitted sheet. You have a great weekend, too. 🙂
Oz, of course!
While I wish I was a lot better at French, that I studied for 4 years in high school, I think it would be Japanese. The reason is because I KNOW I’ll never be able to learn it other than through magic!
Singing. I often dream of having a nice singing voice. But when your 4 year old looks up at you and says, “Please don’t sing anymore, Mommy,” well, that tells it all.
I can’t sing either. Love your answers. 🙂
What a fun meme! I’ve had a good think about my answers as I scrolled through the comments here and think I have my three:
1) Sign Language, specifically American Sign Language. No matter where you go, there will always be deaf people to communicate with.
2) The Shire from LOTR
3) Loud whistle through my fingers like the old aunties 😉
I love your answers. Well done. Happy day and weekend. 🙂
Good answers, my dear. I’m with you on fitted sheets, so I only keep one set in rotation to avoid the issue. LOL That second question has me stumped at the moment, funny enough. I’ll let the tape spin, as my husband likes to say, and see what bubbles to the surface. Be well!
I gave up trying to fold them. They will be in a ball and that’s it. Happy day and weekend. Hugs. 🙂
Those were fun answers. Love Downton Abbey!
We loved that show very much. Happy day and weekend. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Same for the language. It would be helpful at my job.
The “Home Alone” house looked pretty splendid.
I wish I could write award-winning ads
Love your answers. Home Alone is a great choice. 🙂
Those are good answers.
I would also choose Spanish.
Narnia, of course.
I’m not sure what strange talent I would want, but I’d be glad to teach you to fold fitted sheets, there’s a trick and it’s not that hard.
I wish I was close to you so you could. Love and hugs. 🙂
Great answers, Sandee. I enjoyed learning more about you. My answers would be:
1. Japanese
2. Hundred Acre Wood from A.A. Milne’s books about Winnie-the-Pooh
3. I actually know how to fold a fitted sheet (thanks to my mom, who was a bit obsessive about some things. LOL)
Love your answers. Teach me how to fold a fitted sheet. 🙂
