  1. As they say Butter wouldn’t melt heheh!

Nice fill-ins Sandee I don’t think you would like 5th of November in the UK heheh!

    Have a cutetastic FFS ➡

    • I don’t care for all the noise anymore. I did when I was younger and always made sure my son had tons of fun during the 4th, but I just don’t care for all the noise. I don’t begrudge those that do though. 🙂

  2. Cute picture, Sandee ♥ We hate fireworks too… all of us! I begin to purr oud loud every day to wake up Granny and Grandpaw and then I scratch the bed to get me some cuddles 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 ♥

    • I know your mom takes good care of you too. We always did the same. Cuddles are good when you’re scared. 🙂

  3. Believe it or not I have never had a dog who was afraid of fireworks. I did have one that ended up being terrified of thunder the last couple years of his life.
Love your answer to number 3

    • I’ve never had a dog that liked fireworks or thunder. Little Bit hated both with a passion. 🙂

    • My mom and dad were both from the south. I love things from the south. 🙂

    • You’re most welcome, Pamela. You have a great weekend too and thanks for playing along today. 🙂

  4. Such an adorable picture! And good answers there. I know what you mean about fireworks. Loved them when I was a kid. Now I worry about the critters! Happy weekend!

    • Worrying about the critters are what we’re supposed to do. We always made sure our babies were contained during the fireworks. So many scared babies run away and hide never to be found again. 🙂

  5. Now that is a handsome feline!

    Fireworks, Freedom, & Faith.
My favorite picnic food is charcoal grilled burgers & potato salad.
I begin everyday with my computer and a little prayer.
My marriage is the best thing since sliced bread.

  6. Beautiful kitty. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Those are all good picnic foods. Thankfulness is a good thing. Have a great weekend! 🙂

    • I’m hungry for a BBQ with potato salad and corn on the cob. You have a great weekend too, Ellen. 🙂

  7. I can’t believe it’s Friday again all ready. Time sure flies when you’ve retired early. ~grin~ I’m so sorry all your furry loved ones fear fireworks. Our cats have never really cared too much. My childhood dog Trixie was another matter. Adorable photo! Be well, my dear.

    • Retirement is awesome isn’t it. I sure enjoy doing whatever I want to do and not going to work everyday. You be well too, Darla. 🙂

  8. foguth – Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. Loved your answers and wonder why your pets are afraid of fireworks. Oddly enough, Saphera loves them (she needs to wear the ‘thunder shirt’ for just about everything except fireworks) … Since she is the surrogate mom of everyone else, Purr doesn’t seem to mind fireworks, either …. this will be Katsu’s first 4th of July, so it will be interesting to see his reaction, but I expect him to follow Saphera and Purrseidon’s attitude.

    • I don’t know. It’s not as if we shielded her from them when she was a pup, but she grew to hate fireworks. 😉

Purrhaps its because of the smell or startling sound.
My staff often wonders if she’d also like to go to the rifle range, but they’ve never seen other pets there, so also speculate that this is yet another place we four-footers aren’t welcome. >^.^<

  9. I’m okay with fireworks; it’s the firecrackers I hate! Recently, a 7-year old girl died from serious head injuries after she was struck by shrapnel from a firecracker that was lit by her neighbour.

    • What a shame about that precious little 7 year old girl. Not good at all. 🙂

They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. Your cat is really cute, Sandee. I think though, that unless in captivity, it can be ferocious when it grows larger.
I like public fireworks, not neighbor hood out in the street.
July 4th food of my choice, a hamburger, a hotdog, potato salad, watermelon, homemade ice cream, and chocolate brownies.
First in the morning, toilet, scales, coffee and half a granola bar breakfast while a quick monkey bath, get dressed, and brush teeth, in that order.
Next best is soda crackers with peanut butter and jelly.
    🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Thanks for answering all the questions too. I love soda crackers with almost any topping. 🙂
