    • I love the sell of the air after a nice rain. So clean and fresh. Yes, we love our husbands. 🙂

  1. 1.My favorite scent is ________________.
2.I hope to __________________ this weekend.
3._________ is music to my ears.
    4.Home is where _________.

    What a pretty cat.

My favorite scent is my memory of my grandma’s cooking.

I hope to find a good highway route to avoid driving on the mountains this weekend (we ran into some really big ones last weekend..boy, did we!).

“Mom” is music to my ears.

Home is where the kids are…

    Have a fabulous day!

    • My grandmother cooked really well too. I hadn’t thought of that. You have a wonderful life. A bit of a bump, but you sure see most happy now. 🙂

  2. What a beautiful close up and those eyes awww

I liked your fill-ins we supposed to be having a heatwave this weekend but our heatwaves are your cool days LOL

    Have a cooltastic FFS ➡

    • It could be 80 degrees year around and I would be happy. It’s over 100 degrees right now. 🙂

    • It’s already too hot, Ann. Oh well, it’s summer in Central California. 🙂

    • It’s hard to pick just one smell, but that one popped right into my head. 🙂

  3. Such a pretty cat with those green eyes. The smell after a rain is just the best. Sandee, you and Zane have a great and cool week end. It is more than hot here too.

    • I don’t know how much of an edit was done if any, but they sure stand out. 🙂

  4. curioussteph – Louisville, CO – June 2017: I started writing Curioussteph.com with this: By day, I'm a retired family physician turned body-oriented psychotherapist. I garden, travel, am owned by 2 elderly cats, figure skate and am training for my first triathlon. April 2020: Three years later, the two elderly cats have crossed the rainbow bridge, and we now have an 11 year old adoptee, Ziggy. I'm done with triathlon and skating for the time being, and I am still physically active, running, biking and walking. It's now the time of the coronavirus, which is affecting us all. July 2024: Four years later: I haven't been writing much, and change has continued. My partner of 36 years, BA has a number of health issues, primarily white matter disease, which has affected cognitive function and mobility. She has good days and bad, and so more of my time is spent managing our household and attending to her needs. My imagined retirement of spending half the year traveling isn't happening at the moment. Lots of adjustment and accommodation. Hoping to write more about retirement, and all the changes. We shall see.

Those eyes are amazing! I didn’t realize a white cat could even have emerald eyes, so when I crafted Merlin, a big fluffy white Norwegian Forest Cat as Xander’s friend, I gave him ’emerald eyes’… Shocking to see a real cat actually looks like that!

    • I’m glad I did something good for you. I do wonder if an edit was done on those eyes. 🙂

For certain, Kiara edited “Merlin’s eyes’ on the book covers – they were a pale green instead of emerald.

What an interesting cat. Very intriguing!!

Sandee, have a great weekend. Weather’s just right for a boat trip 🙂

    • Weather is way too hot to be on the boat. We are home and in the air conditioning. Got a trip planned for next week, but it’s a road trip. 🙂

  7. That is a gorgeous kitty. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am glad you are blessed with a good hubby. Have a nice weekend, good luck keeping cool! 🙂

    • I guess those leaves smell like lime? You have a great weekend too, Veronica. 🙂

  8. OH THOSE EYES! Beautiful. I often wonder how a white cat keeps that coat so pretty and white. Love your answers. I have to say, I love the smell of the rain as it is coming in. But….my answers are~
    1.My favorite scent is oranges
2.I hope to get something more done in the house this weekend.
3.A baby laughing is music to my ears.
4.Home is where my heart is.

    • I love your answers, Pam. Thanks for weighing in, my friend. Have a great weekend. 🙂

  9. What stunning eyes that kitty has! They’re like emeralds. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Your answer to #1 is perfect. I love stepping outside after it rains. And I also hope you stay cool this weekend. I regret all those times I complained about the chill this winter, because now we’ve been having nearly 100°F weather every day. Have a beautiful day!

    • We had three days of spring then summer showed up. Had lots of winter too. Oh well, it’s summertime and it’s hot. 🙂

    • We are home in the air conditioning. We’ll be just fine. It’s too hot for boating. When we were younger it wasn’t so bad, but we just take several days of this kind of heat. 🙂

        • Same here. I had a horrible bout with the heat a couple times last year when it was real hot and we were on the boat. Horrible. 🙂

    • I don’t know if this kitties eyes were edited or not. I just thought it was a great looking cat. We are staying in and out of the weather this weekend. 🙂

  10. Look at those EYES! And I must say, I LOVE your fillins. I let Marv do them this week. his nose is out of joint with all the other animals wanting attention form HIS mom!
    Stay cool
    Love Barb

    • I noticed Marv had his nose out of joint. You can’t blame him. He’s used to having his mom all to himself. You stay cool too. 🙂

  13. Service Cats U.S. – I Audra, am the human behind Service Cats U.S. aka DezizWorld. I am disabled and use cats as service animals instead of dogs. They are just as capable and can perform duties other animals cannot. We started our online journey to bring awareness to the ability of cats and to help others understand the relationship between a service animal and their handler/person. We offer training tips and tricks that I have learned through the years along with other information on all things feline. We began this journey in 2014 with Lexi and Dezi. They have since gone on to heaven, but our journey continues. This blog is about our daily life from the kitty's point of view. I want this blog to be interactive and get to know all of you, so comment and visit often. I will also offer advice, training tips and education when possible. Jim

Pretty cat Sandee, but watch her, she’s sly. I can see a little smirk in her jowls. Her eyes are looking for something, probably a way to get out of here.
That’s sweet, your description of Hubby.
    Have a nice weekend.
    🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Most kitties are up to something. It’s what makes cats so fun. Hubby is the best. You have a nice weekend too, Jim. 🙂

    Suzanne Gunter McClendon

I hope that you’ll be able to keep cool. Heat waves are no fun. I’d much rather have a cold wave! Regarding #3, are you secretly Moana? She had to be on the water, too. 🙂
    Have a blessed weekend!

    • Some babies love the water and others hate it. You have a blessed weekend too. 🙂

Can those eyes be real do you think? Regardless, beautiful color.

    • I don’t know Jeanna. They may have been edited a bit, but I’ve seen some amazing kitty eyes over the years. 🙂

    • It’s much cooler here this morning. I think we got through that one. There will be more. 🙂

  22. Emerald eyes!

Home is where my family is. The location is not important.
