Bay Cruise

Today hubby and I will be heading toward the San Francisco bay with our yacht club for the next week and a half. Our first stop will be Pittsburg Municipal Marina for one night and then on to Benicia Marina for the next two nights.

We venture to San Rafael Yacht Club the following day and have a two night layover with fun activities planned.

Then we move on to Oakland Yacht Club for several days. There is nothing quite like seeing San Francisco from the water, while you’re on your own boat. It’s magical! During this stop we’ll be taking a cruise on the USS Potomac. We are really looking forward to this adventure.

Next we are off to South Beach Harbor for two nights. This is always a treat, because you can have cocktails on your boat at night and see all the lights of the city. Breathtakingly beautiful to say the least. We’ll be here and there but we’ll also visit South Beach Yacht Club for dinner.

I’m sharing all of this with you so you’ll know I won’t be around as much as usual. We’ll still be doing Silly Sunday, Awww Mondays, Sparks, Wordless Wednesday and Feline Friday, but I won’t be visiting very much.

Plans

Some of the best plans go by the wayside when you’re boating. Yesterday morning we left Benicia heading toward Ballena Bay. We got into the San Pablo Bay and rocked and rolled. We all decided that this wasn’t what we wanted to do for 3-4 hours. We turned around and headed for Napa Valley Yacht Club.

We had a wonderful dinner at the yacht club last night and met lots of their members. A great time had by all.

The following three pictures are our view this beautiful Saturday morning.

One of our boating buddies is making us breakfast and after a bit were going to visit the Blues, Brews and BBQ festival they are having this weekend.
