All too rarely, airline attendants make an effort to make the in flight ‘safety lecture’ a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples of funny airline cabin crew announcements:
On a Southwest flight 245 (SW has no assigned seating, you just sit where you want) passengers were apparently having a hard time choosing, when a flight attendant announced, ‘People, people we’re not picking out furniture here, find a seat and get in it!’
On a Continental Flight with a very ‘senior’ flight attendant crew, the pilot said, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants.’
On landing, the stewardess said, ‘Please be sure to take all of your belongings. If you’re going to leave anything, please make sure it’s something we’d like to have.’
‘There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane.’
‘Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride.’

#4 is just lovely. Haha.
It's spot on too. 🙂
I've heard a lot of funny announcements over the years… I'm paraphrasing but one went something like "Please remain seated with your seat belts on while the Captain barrels down the runway and comes to a screaming halt in front of our gate."
big hugs x0x0
I've been on some flight where we spent a great deal of time with their stand up comedy. 🙂
These are good. I'm thinking #2 would require some retaliation from the senior crew. That pilot should consider keeping the cockpit door locked 😛
There is that. Probably was approved way before it was ever done. 🙂
LOL at Number 3 and 4 🙂 I like entertaining in flight lectures, I think they need to do that because you know..few passengers listen to them right?
We should, but most don't listen to the PSA. 🙂
lol on that last one. And hear hear to it too! 😉
Yes indeed. 🙂
Love these. All that programmed stuff is entirely too boring. I always appreciate your daily smiles. Miss ya, too.
Scritches to LB. Big hugs, honey…
It is boring and it's always the same. Spice it up is good for me. 🙂
LOL #2 had to be my favourite =))
Have a flighttastic day Sandee :-h
That's a good one to have as a favorite Steve. 🙂
I have been on many flights with humor, they are much more fun. Easy Jet and SouthWest airlines are two of the best. Thanks for the laughs.
Me too, and it's great fun when they are having fun too. 🙂
Hi, Sandee!
I esp. like #3
Have an awesome day!!
Hi Michelle. Number three is a good one indeed. You have an awesome day too. 🙂
my fave airline is Delta and theirs made me laugh lol. Have a great day! xoxo
Southwest and Delta had some great PSA. Wonder if they still do? 🙂
All the airlines are being petty right now. I've been trying to get my tickets to Miami but the the airlines are keeping their prices up so high. It seems that they are all gauging now. Sorry, I went over bound this morning.
Have a gorgeous Tuesday Sandee. Sorry for my comment but as soon as read " flight", it got to me. I'll be OK tomorrow. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
I hope you can get a reasonable flight to Miami pretty soon Paul. 🙂
Those are just too funny. I like #3 too. Good entertainment that flying stuff. Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit have a wonderful day.
Flying used to be a lot nicer than it is now. Less space and now you pay for everything. A meal used to be part of the flight, now you have to buy something to eat. 🙂
I remember when Southwest used to have that sort of comedy, it make gong into the flight easier. Hope you have a great week!

Yep, Southwest was the very best at this for a very long time. 🙂
Flying commercial is a real pain in the tail now. I used to love it. Now, I just do it myself.
I agree, flying used to be much nicer. 🙂
Haha! Why do I always seem to get the grumpy flight attendants and not the ones cracking jokes like this!
I don't know. Things have changed so much. 🙂
love this! Big hugs and have a fabulous day!
Me too Kathe. You have a fabulous day too. 🙂
Those are cute! Reminds me of the time I rode a Mexican bus from the Border to Mexico City. Unlike buses here in the states—the seats were assigned—–of course pigs and chickens were in the back! One hasn't experienced life until they ride a Mexican bus through the mountains! Seems to be no speed limit and I suspect most drivers have soaked up a lot of tequila before getting in the driver's seat.
I rode a bus from Guadalajara to the border. It was first class though. They had two drivers and two stewardesses that took turns working then sleeping. It was traveling in style. 🙂
LOL Sandee! These are hilarious! Thank you so much for sharing them. 🙂
You're most welcome Linda. Glad you enjoyed them. 🙂
Heeheehee! They take you for a ride, all right!
They sure do and in very cramped quarters too. 🙂
These are all cute. I like #2 the best.
That one made me chuckle too. 🙂
Oh my gosh, LOL!! These are so funny!
I thought so too Lauren. 🙂
Delta has done a good job of making the preflight videos entertaining so people actually watch
They do indeed. 🙂
Those are funny! I've been on some flights with funny crews and it makes the whole flight seem better!
Hope you had a wonderful Tortie Tuesday! Smooches to Little Bit!
Yes, they do and you can tell when the employees are happy and when they are not. 🙂
My Stewie friend tells me all sorts of funny ones. I like the cabin lights one. That made me giggle.
Yep, some folks that fly are very trying. 🙂
My favorite is, "we're not picking furniture here!" Thanks for joining the #OMHGWW Linkup this week!
Shellie @ShellieBowdoin
Yep, get in a seat and settle down. 🙂
A little humor can make a long flight a lot more bearable.
You're absolutely right. The crew can make or break a good/bad flight too. 🙂
