I’m thankful for our Holiday Meal with our yacht club last Saturday night. It’s a chance to see club members and socialize. It was also wonderful to have a great meal. Here’s what we had…
American Classic Buffet
Spinach Salad
Baked Glazed Ham and/or Slow Roasted Turkey
Almond Dressing
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Cranberry Sauce
Fresh Veggies
Rolls and Butter
Dessert Table: Mini Apple Pies and/or Pumpkin Pie Squares
This is always one of the best meals of the year. It was delicious.
What are you thankful for today?
I thought I might miss Thankful Thursday but I sure didn’t, I am even first today. I am thankful for my doctor that he knows when I am so down and depressed he is going to get me someone to talk to. That is where I was yesterday and why I missed Wordless Wednesday. I am also thankful that I know that I am stronger than I feel sometimes and this to shall pass. I am thankful that you had a wonderful weekend with your yacht club. Have a wonderful day today my dearest friend.
Bunches of LOVE & giant ((HUGS)) ❤ 🤗
I’m glad you’re feeling better today. It’s good to have a great doctor that knows what their patience need.
You have a wonderful day too, Jody. Love you and big hugs. 🙂
Oh that menu sounds delicious. Now I’m hungry for Thanksgiving dinner. I can hardly wait to dig in. I’m thankful that both my children will be coming to dinner and that my daughter will be cooking it all 🙂
Many of us look forward to this meal every year. It’s always so very good. 🙂
Your meal sure sounds wonderful and delicious. I too love meeting up with friends and having a wonderful meal together. Have a great day and week!
Being with friends is the very best part of a good meal. You have a great day too, Nancy. 🙂
Oh my does this make my mouth water. I’m so glad you had such fun
Hugs Cecilia
We did have a great time. Good food with good friends is a great combination. Hugs back my friend. 🙂
That food sounds so darn yummy. We are thankful for many things and one of them is our good blogging friends. At the moment we are Very thankful for a roof over our heads. We had terrible storms last night. Sandee, you and Zane have a great day.
I’m thankful for you too, Marg. You’ve been a wonderful blogging buddy for a very long time. 🙂
I’m grateful not to have to travel in this icy Ohio weather, and for the fact we don’t have forest fire concerns. ~shudder~ And, oh, I’ve always wanted to visit Greece. The closest I’ll probably ever get to it is writing my Greek/Irish character. Heh… Be well!
California is burning and we’ve been smelling smoke for days and days. I’ll be glad when we get a good soaking rain to put these out. You be well too,Darla. 🙂
Your meal sounds fabulous! Happy rest of the week. 🙂
It was fabulous, Eugenia. You have a happy rest to of the week too. 🙂
Your meal sounds wonderful as does any meal I don’t have to cook.
Not having to cook or clean up is always a plus. I agree. 🙂
I’m thankful my eyesight is improving and there are no signs of cataracts. ((Hugs))
Good for you. I’ve had one eye done to remove the cataracts. Nothing to it and what a change in vision. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂
That meal was missing mince pie, but I guess I could manage. Ain’t this time of year grand!
Yes this is a grand time of year. I like mince/pumpkin pie. Tones down the mince. 🙂
Am thankful to be gainfully employed today!
Being employed is a wonderful thing. Eases ones mind about many things. 🙂
HAHA…I would be thankful for that meal too…esp since I did not have to lift a hand to cook it and only had to lift the hand to eat! haha…I am thankful for my life. It is a nice one.
I agree that any meal that you don’t have to cook or clean up is a good meal. You do have a nice life. It shows in your posts. 🙂
That meal does sound most yummy, I’m ready for some turkey!
We have the turkey during this meal and for Thanksgiving we’re having roast beef. We’ll probably have seafood for Christmas. 🙂
Dang, I forgot to tell you thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
You’re most welcome, Terry. I love your Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. 🙂
Yummy, that meal lineup sounds so good. Delicious ham and turkey with mash potatoes is our favorite. We hope you had a fabulous time. Have a very Happy Thankful Thursday. We here can’t wait for Thanksgiving next week. Have a great day.
It really was a great meal. We look forward to it each year. Thanksgiving is a quiet day for us. Just as we like it. You have a great day too. 🙂
Guess I should be thankful I can eat anything I want, anytime I want. Others cannot . . .
Yes you are most lucky where that is concerned. As we age many can’t eat so many things. I’m one of those. 🙂
I was meaning I have food to eat where others do not.
Yum!!!! I’m thankful for Aldi that just opened across the street, I can walk there! 🙂 xoxoxo
I had to look Aldi up. Now I know it’s a grocery store. Walking across the street rocks. 🙂
Sounds pretty yummy…and the best part…you didn’t have to cook it. Hugs, Janet
That was the best part. It is such a wonderful meal. I love it when I don’t have to cook or clean up. Hugs back. 🙂
It sounds like a feast fit for a wonderful Thanksgiving!
It was. I couldn’t have made it any better than they did. Everything was delicious. 🙂
Now we are all hungry for Thanksgiving!!! Glad you had such a nice time with the club.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We had a great time. Got to see some folks I’ve not seen in a long time and that was good. Wonderful evening. 🙂
That sounds great! I just had supper, but you made me hungry 🙂
It was a really great meal. It’s when I have Thanksgiving each year. We’re having a roast for our Thanksgiving dinner. No more turkey. 🙂
You made me hungry! That sounds like a wonderful meal!
It really was. Most of the club looks forward to this meal every year. 🙂
Sandee,
The menu sounds so yummy! I’m working on our Thanksgiving meal, cooking something every day to put in the freezer for the big feast. 🙂
Oh that’s a clever idea. Do the work in pieces instead of all in one day. You’re very smart. 🙂
Sounds like you had such an amazing meal at the yacht club. I tend to get a bit frazzled cooking thanksgiving dinner so I am thankful my daughter and husband will be doing it this year so I can put my feet up with a glass of Prosecco.
Now you’re talking. I love Prosecco. 🙂
I’m sure you’ll be repeating that menu at YOUR Thanksgiving meal this week! Sounds very yummy.
No we’re having roast beef. I am going to make some dressing for hubby though. 🙂
Yum! Now I wish today was Thanksgiving!! Guess a few more days to wait won’t kill me 🙂
We have a feast planned here too, but it’s not the traditional Thanksgiving meal. It’s all good though. 🙂
