The Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Art in the Park weekend is one of the most colorful weekends in Colorado. Get to the launch grounds early to see the balloons inflate. The rodeo portion of the event consists of dipping the balloon baskets into Bald Eagle Lake, and since balloon pilots can be pretty competitive, you’re guaranteed a good show.

Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday 🙂 ♥
Wow I enjoyed the slideshow. I loved all the boats too. What views. 🙂
Love the picture of the hot air balloons. They do some kind of event not far from here every year. I’ve seen the balloons in the sky but have never gone to check everything out
I think I’d be scared to get into one for a ride, but they are fun to watch from the ground. 🙂
That looks like such fun! So colorful. I’d love to go on a hot air balloon ride one day.
You are braver than me. Much braver. 🙂
Those balloons are really pretty. We saw some of those in Charleston a long time ago. Bet it is fun to ride around in them. Sandee, you and Zane have a great day.
Hubby and I don’t care for heights, so I’ll pass on taking a ride in one. 🙂
Boy are those pretty, we used to like watching them when we had a balloon festival here!
I’d love to sit and watch them. They are beautiful. 🙂
Very colourful
Yes they are, Marie Celine. 🙂
A hot air balloon ride would be fun. Have a great day!
I bet it would be pretty pricey to get a ride in one. You have a great day too. 🙂
Love the cheerful colors … were they getting ready for a race or something?
Yes they are. Apparently they do this every year. 🙂
I’ve heard of this, but never seen where the race began – always saw the balloons over desert, not green.
I would love to attend a balloon festival. The photo opportunities seem endless.
And you’re a great photographer. I’ll bet you would get some amazing shots. 🙂
Breath taking photo! I’ve never been up in a hot air balloon….have you? Cheers and hugs!
No, I’ve never been up in one. I would have in my younger years, but not anymore. 🙂
Beautiful. A nearby town had a balloon festival last weekend. Our dad took lots of photos. Some will show up on our blog for Sparks in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for sharing this stunning photo. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I’m looking forward to seeing your upcoming Sparks. I got the socks today. They are pawsome. 🙂
We have a million of those things here and sometimes they crash and burn.
Do you help them crash and burn, Kismet? 🙂
The balloons are so colourful! I don’t think I want to ride in one!
I don’t want to ride in one either. Too old. 🙂
The year the Winter Olympics were in Calgary, the company I worked for took everyone up for a balloon ride! There were over 30 balloons of various shapes drifting over downtown Calgary! Riding in a balloon is unforgettable! Unfortunately it was pre-cell phone and video camera (everything was still on film). But I still have the memories!
Love Barb
What a wonderful memory, Barb. When I was young I would have done this, but I just can’t do heights anymore. Love you back. Scritches to Marv. 🙂
i would love to see that in person! gorgeous
I would too. I’m going to see if there is something similar in my area. 🙂
That looks refreshing, Sandee 🙂
Have a great day!
What a colorful and beautiful reflection shot of the Air Balloons!
Happy Day to you,

They are indeed beautiful reflection shots. Happy day to you and Zoe. 🙂
What a lovely image! Those balloons are really pretty!
They sure are, Veronica. I wish I was closer because I’d go see this. 🙂
I’d like to see that one of these days. I knew about the one in New Mexico! 🙂
Me too. It looks like a wonderful way to spend the day. 🙂
Beautiful Picture. Just did mine. My link is in.
Thanks for linking up today7, Crystal. 🙂
What a colourful photo I haven’t heard of a hot air balloon rodeo before 🙂
Have a poptastic WWS
PS: Sorry Sandee i was late today 🙁
It probably smells much better than the regular rodeo. Have a poptastic WW too, Steve. 🙂
We sometimes get a balloon in the field across the street — it’s apparently a great place for them to practice liftoffs and landings.
I would love to see that up close. I really would. 🙂
They used to come to town once a year when I lived in Michigan. I loved to see them every single time.
That seems such a long time ago…Michigan that is. 🙂
Those colorful balloons always make such beautiful pictures.
Beautiful pic. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Thank you on both counts. You have a wonderful week too. 🙂
Wow, the balloons are so colorful. There is a hot air balloon annual event in Helen, GA. They just held their 45th annual race. Helen, Ga is a mountain town in northeast Georgia known for its Bavarian style buildings. It’s very quaint and charming.
I would love to visit there then. Quaint and charming is a great thing. 🙂
It’s a unique and beautiful city. It’s on the Chattahoochee River.
Wow, such a festival mood out there with these colourful hot balloons! The image is a treat to sight
They are indeed most colorful, Jeevan. 🙂
I have been to one of these in New Mexico it was fantastic!!!
I’ve never been to one and need to. So beautiful. 🙂
