Americans eat a lot of hot dogs! According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC), Americans purchase 9 billion hot dogs per year from grocery stores! Adding in what would be consumed at restaurants or ball parks, the NHDSC estimates that the total number consumed in a year is approximately 20 billion hot dogs! Source: Potato Rolls

Wow, again a menu that I do not eat, even it looks
so pleasant colorful! But indeed is easy to take, I suppose.
National Hot Dog and Sausage Council? What on earth are they doing?
    … Nice job…
Happy WW, dear Sandee. I’ll be out of the game for two weeks.
All the best. Hugs and joy!❤️😘

    • Sandee says:

I rarely have a hotdog. I do enjoy them, but I’m sure they aren’t good for us. I’ll miss you for the next two weeks and thanks for letting me know. I won’t worry about you. Love, hugs and joy, Suzana. 🙂

  2. Pam and Teddy says:

Gosh those hot dogs look yummy. Favorite meals come and go but hot dogs have been on a lot of people’s lists FOREVER. Love the ‘toons – I relate to every single one of them……getting older is not for the old. HAHAHA

    Love, Pam

  3. My GBGV Life says:

They are a big item for most people especially at grill parties or picnics and sports events. Mom liked them but doesn’t eat them anymore. They are also inexpensive.

  4. Alana says:

I grew up with kosher all beef hot dogs. I rarely eat them now, but can still enjoy one, with mustard or an onion sauce popular in New York City.

    • Sandee says:

It had been years since we had a hotdog, but I sure enjoyed mine yesterday. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to the precious pups. 🙂

  5. Katie Isabella says:

I LOVE hot dogs…just like those but less of everything on them. Same stuff, just less. I rarely have one but sometimes I buy all beef hotdogs, and love every bite of one; all decorated up with ketchup, onion, relish. mustard, you name it. YUM!

  6. Mr. Ohh! says:

I had to laugh. I heard of a study saying every hot dog you eat takes 26 minutes off your lifespan. If that’s true, I’ve been dead for about 3 years now. I love hot dogs. 🤣😎🙃

    • Sandee says:

I didn’t know this about hotdogs. We don’t eat them very often. You made me laugh out loud with you’ve been dead for about 3 years. 🙂

  7. Eastside Cats says:

For years, The Hubby and I watched the July 4th Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on TV, and despite how cringey it is, it’s still great fun.
Now, it’s only on a channel that we don’t have, so we just have to read the next day’s news that Joey Chestnut has done it again.

  8. Cecilia Upchurch says:

MOL MOL now I must add hot dogs to my grocery list. We love a good hot dog.
Bryan has his allllllll the way (except for relish) I just like mustard, ketchup and chili
    Hugs x 4
    Cecilia

  9. Pat says:

Happy WEdnesday, Sandee! 9 times our of 10 we will get a $1.50 hot dog at Costco after we shop in their wharehouse –they are so good!

  10. Suzette Benjamin says:

I love hot dogs, but I prefer the real bratwurst sausages with lots of ketchup too. Not that I am a picky eater, mind you. Thank you for the trivia, Sandee.
Happy Wordless Wednesday, dear friend. Peace, love, and light to you!

  11. ghostmmnc says:

That’s a lot of hot dogs! I imagine it is true. We like them, too. We used to make them at home, but now just go to Weinerschnitzle. Kraut dog and chili cheese dog. Yum! Happy Wednesday <3

    • Sandee says:

In the summer there are a lot of them on the grill. I’d rather have a good burger, but that’s just me. Happy day and rest of the week, Kymber. Love and hugs. 🙂

  12. Kitties Blue says:

Except for the onions, those look really yummy. Our mom likes the all beef Ballpark Franks; though, she doesn’t buy them as they are not very good for old folks. Thanks for linking us up. • Sandee says:

That’s what we bought a few days ago. Delicious, but not good for old folks. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and a big hug to you. 🙂

  13. Tails Around the Ranch says:

In our family we typically grill burgers but offer hot dogs for those who want a change. I finally found a vegetarian variety is is pretty tasty so lately I’l been enjoy them…and the sauerkraut on top makes them fabulous. Such a summer time staple!

  14. Debra @ Life Captured says:

There is only two ways I’ll eat a hotdog. Well, three.
    1. Beef not pork
    2. Roasted with outside charred a bit. lots of Ketchup.
    3. Chili served on top.
    Visiting from EsmeSalon #WW
    Have a fun week
    All the best.
