Hot Dogs
Americans eat a lot of hot dogs! According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC), Americans purchase 9 billion hot dogs per year from grocery stores! Adding in what would be consumed at restaurants or ball parks, the NHDSC estimates that the total number consumed in a year is approximately 20 billion hot dogs! Source: Potato Rolls
Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Wordless Wednesday, Keith’s Ramblings, Senior Salon, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.

Wow, again a menu that I do not eat, even it looks
so pleasant colorful! But indeed is easy to take, I suppose.
National Hot Dog and Sausage Council? What on earth are they doing?
… Nice job…
Happy WW, dear Sandee. I’ll be out of the game for two weeks.
All the best. Hugs and joy!❤️😘
I rarely have a hotdog. I do enjoy them, but I’m sure they aren’t good for us. I’ll miss you for the next two weeks and thanks for letting me know. I won’t worry about you. Love, hugs and joy, Suzana. 🙂
That’s a lot of mustard and ketchup being used… imagine the mountain of buns needed to keep up!
Happy Wednesday, Sandee!
I hear you. I had no idea how popular hotdogs are. Happy day and rest of the week, Veronica. 🙂
A mí me encantan los perritos calientes con ketchup 😋 un abrazo
Ketchup is a good thing on a hot dog. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
Muito bonitos e devem estar bons os cachorros -quente! beijos, lindo dia! chica
They are very delicious, Chica. Have a great day and rest of the week. Hugs. 🙂
Gosh those hot dogs look yummy. Favorite meals come and go but hot dogs have been on a lot of people’s lists FOREVER. Love the ‘toons – I relate to every single one of them……getting older is not for the old. HAHAHA
Love, Pam
We rarely have hotdogs, but every now and then. Getting older is not for the old indeed. You made me laugh out loud. 🙂
They look so good but hold the onions, please!
I just had mustard on mine yesterday. Lots of mustard. Scritches to Duke. 🙂
That’s a lot of hot dogs. I haven’t had one in a while and was thinking about buying some
I think I’m going to try a Costco hotdog at some point. I hear they are really good. 🙂
Yum! I love hot dogs. We buy all beef hot dogs, and whole wheat buns. I don’t know if that is healthier, but the effort is there.
I enjoyed that reply!!!! 😉
We buy all beef too and I just use my sourdough bread. Works for me. Happy day and rest of the week, Eugenia. Hugs. 🙂
They are a big item for most people especially at grill parties or picnics and sports events. Mom liked them but doesn’t eat them anymore. They are also inexpensive.
They aren’t good for you, but we have them now and then. I’d rather have a grilled burger. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
I grew up with kosher all beef hot dogs. I rarely eat them now, but can still enjoy one, with mustard or an onion sauce popular in New York City.
I love the all beef hotdogs. I would love to try the New York style dog. Sounds good. 🙂
That is on the menu for dinner tonight. 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
Enjoy. We love a good beef hotdog now and then. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Yummy! Although we don’t eat them much anymore, we try to have them on summer holidays.
It had been years since we had a hotdog, but I sure enjoyed mine yesterday. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to the precious pups. 🙂
I LOVE hot dogs…just like those but less of everything on them. Same stuff, just less. I rarely have one but sometimes I buy all beef hotdogs, and love every bite of one; all decorated up with ketchup, onion, relish. mustard, you name it. YUM!
We only buy beef ones too. I like what you put on your hotdogs. Delicious. 🙂
I really try to do my part!!!
Bravo. We do too. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
I had to laugh. I heard of a study saying every hot dog you eat takes 26 minutes off your lifespan. If that’s true, I’ve been dead for about 3 years now. I love hot dogs. 🤣😎🙃
I didn’t know this about hotdogs. We don’t eat them very often. You made me laugh out loud with you’ve been dead for about 3 years. 🙂
For years, The Hubby and I watched the July 4th Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on TV, and despite how cringey it is, it’s still great fun.
Now, it’s only on a channel that we don’t have, so we just have to read the next day’s news that Joey Chestnut has done it again.
How fun and Nathan’s is a great hotdog. Happy day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Now Mom wants a hot dog!
Hubby and I were hungry for a hot dog while shopping last week. We bought some and I had one yesterday. Delicious. 🙂
The only time I eat hot dogs is either at a baseball game or a picnic. And definitely only with mustard. 🙂
I had a hot dog for breakfast yesterday. It was most delicious. 🙂
I wonder how many of the hot dogs eaten are from Costco’s $1.50 deal. Those are the only hot dogs I eat. 🙂
I’ve never had one at Costco, but I hear they are very, very good. 🙂
1.50 for hot dog and a drink. 😀
And if you lined up those hotdogs end to end, it’d go really really far!
It sure would. I’d rather have chocolate though. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
I love you my Wonderful Wife. Your Loving Husband.
I love you my Forever Husband. Your Loving Wife. 🙂
We have similiar here, called Bratwurst. Thank you for sharing and for hosting… and for your participation at
MosaicMonday too.
Greetings by Heidrun ❤️
Those are good too. Have a great day and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂
MOL MOL now I must add hot dogs to my grocery list. We love a good hot dog.
Bryan has his allllllll the way (except for relish) I just like mustard, ketchup and chili
Hugs x 4
Cecilia
You can have them so many ways. We only eat the all beef ones though. Love and hugs to you my wonderful friend. 🙂
Great stats about Hot Dogs ~ I rarely eat them but love a good burned grilled hot dog in the summer ~ Hugs ^_^
an artist reflects
I used to get them when I was working. A quick lunch and always so good. Now I rarely have a hotdog. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. 🙂
That’s a lot of hot dogs!
Not something I have often, but fun once in a while, especially with “everything on it” and regional variations 🌭
I don’t have them very often either, but now and then I want a good hot dog. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
Happy WEdnesday, Sandee! 9 times our of 10 we will get a $1.50 hot dog at Costco after we shop in their wharehouse –they are so good!
I’m going to have to try a Costco hot dog. 🙂
You may have as many hotdogs as you wish, so enjoy. I cannot recall when last I had one, and just do not eat it.
Hi there, Sandee. Thank you for this #WW party. Enjoy your week.
This week: #50+52
We now have three Linkies: SSPS; TFT and #WW at https://esmesalon.com/wordlesswednesday/
It’s not the best thing to eat, but there are lots of things that aren’t good for us. Thank you for all you do. 🙂
Placed end to end they’d probably go round the world several times!
You’re right about that. Happy Wednesday, Keith. 🙂
That’s a lot of hot dogs. I enjoy them with mustard and sauerkraut. Yum!
Happy Wednesday and rest of the week!
That is a great combination. Happy Wednesday, Yvonne. Hugs. 🙂
We skip the hotdog, but it was an interesting fact for sure, Sandee🌭Double Pawkisses for a Happy day and Week ahead to you, Zane and the kitties too🐾😸💞
I had one yesterday. It was really good. Double Pawkisses to you both and a big hug to Granny. 🙂
Yep, that’s a lot of hot dogs alright! Now that I am among the retired folks, I won’t be eating nearly as many (I ate them for lunch almost every day.) That oughta drop it by a few, LOL!
I remember having them for lunch when I was working too. So good. 🙂
I love hot dogs, but I prefer the real bratwurst sausages with lots of ketchup too. Not that I am a picky eater, mind you. Thank you for the trivia, Sandee.
Happy Wordless Wednesday, dear friend. Peace, love, and light to you!
Bratwurst is good too. Not had one in a long time. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Love and hugs, my wonderful friend. 🙂
Thank you for all you do to support, blog hops, dear friend. Bless you.
That’s a lot of hot dogs! I imagine it is true. We like them, too. We used to make them at home, but now just go to Weinerschnitzle. Kraut dog and chili cheese dog. Yum! Happy Wednesday <3
I’ve not had a hotdog out for a very long time. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
Hot diggity dog! I pray you and Mr. Zane have a blessed week. Give your fuzzy overlords some scritches from me, please.
I agree. You and Mr. Sweety have a blessed week, too. Scritches all around. 🙂
That is a lot of hotdogs! lol Who knew we could eat so many?
Thank you for hosting WW, Sandee!
Happy Wednesday! Love and hugs, my friend. 🩷🌺
In the summer there are a lot of them on the grill. I’d rather have a good burger, but that’s just me. Happy day and rest of the week, Kymber. Love and hugs. 🙂
I haven’t had a hotdog in a very long time! Great photo, Sandee!
I had one yesterday and it was delicious. Happy day and rest of the week, Linda. 🙂
Yummy hotdogs
I agree. Once in a while. Happy day and rest of the week, my friend. 🙂
Hot dogs are delicious, but we rarely eat them anymore (for health reasons). Every once in awhile though … yum!
That’s most of us. Our systems can’t take hotdogs. 🙂
Except for the onions, those look really yummy. Our mom likes the all beef Ballpark Franks; though, she doesn’t buy them as they are not very good for old folks. Thanks for linking us up. Purrs from Coop and all the kitties and hugs from mom. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kizmet, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali
That’s what we bought a few days ago. Delicious, but not good for old folks. Happy Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and a big hug to you. 🙂
Glad to read, Hot dogs yummy 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
You’re most welcome. Thank you for joining the hop. 🙂
In our family we typically grill burgers but offer hot dogs for those who want a change. I finally found a vegetarian variety is is pretty tasty so lately I’l been enjoy them…and the sauerkraut on top makes them fabulous. Such a summer time staple!
I agree with you. A burger is my first choice. Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Love and hugs to you and Wilson. 🙂
There is only two ways I’ll eat a hotdog. Well, three.
1. Beef not pork
2. Roasted with outside charred a bit. lots of Ketchup.
3. Chili served on top.
Visiting from EsmeSalon #WW
Have a fun week
All the best.

You have hotdogs done right. Nice to meet you. I’ll check out your Sunday Snapshot hop. 🙂
YUM!! Was just listening to a baseball game on the radio and they ran a hot dog commercial right as I was opening your blog! Too funny!
I love that. Baseball and hotdogs go together. 🙂
I am so glad that your picture of hot dogs show them gussied up with condiments that mirror my own tastes: mustard AND Ketchup.
Haters notwithstanding.
Anything to make you happy. 🙂
I know, right?
I’ve never been a fan of hot dogs, but would eat one right out of the refrigerator in my teen years when I needed a quick bite before bedtime. lol Hugs and best wishes, my dear.
I still do that. A cold hot dog on a dry piece of sourdough bread. 🙂
