Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Eiffel Tower Apartment

There’s an apartment inside the Eiffel Tower. When Gustave Eiffel designed the tower, he added a hidden apartment on the third level—but he never lived there, nor did anybody. Instead, Eiffel used this space to entertain guests such as Thomas Edison. Though it wasn’t big, the apartment was decorated with wallpaper, furnished with wooden cabinets, and even had a grand piano. Nowadays, you can get a peek at the unique space through a window if you ride up the tower. Source: Facts.net

Well it’s that interesting. Seems like a waste though that no one lives there. Can you imagine what kind of rent they could charge for that

    • Sandee says:

I never knew this either. You’re welcome for hosting. I enjoy my three hops each week. Have a great day, my friend. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂

  2. Suzette Benjamin says:

It looks like a good space to relax away from the city’s bustle yet be among its architectural marvels. I like it.

    Happy Wordless Wednesday, Sandee.
Love, peace and light to you dear friend.

It’s very neat. Today is spa day. A fill and a pedicure. A good day. Happy day and rest of the week. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to the kitties. 🙂

  3. CatSynth says:

I had heard of the apartment. It looks quite nicely furnished and well maintained. I bet you can rent it out for events (though it probably costs a fortune!).

  4. Peabea says:

Saw a special on this not long ago (maybe on YouTube), and is curious why. Maybe had plans for the apt but they fell through. Would be fun to stay there, but the height would probably bother me. Happy Wednesday.

An amazing view in that photo, Sandee! Thank you so much for sharing, and I want to thank you for including my blog link in your post yesterday, dear friend. I really appreciate your kindness! 🙂

  6. Kitties Blue says:

Of course, this is not Eiffel’s apartment. This is newly created as a rental space. It would be cool to stay there. Thanks, as always, for linking us up. I know that’s true. It’s a museum piece now. It would be cool for all us bloggers to meet there for a catered lunch. Love and hugs to you, scritches to the kitties and a smooch to Cooper Murphy. 🙂

  7. MadSnapper says:

Amazing! I had no idea and it seems it is a well kept secret, since the comments I read all had no idea either. I may see if there are photos of the inside. since I have nothing else to do. ha ha ha

I never knew that it had an apartment in the tower, I’ve been up the tower, but it was over 20 years ago now!
