Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

While I will admit I never really knew what HTML stood for, or even bothered to find out, it never made me think in my wildest dreams it was an STD! LOL

    Hugs, Pam

Oh my gosh! That made us laugh as we would never have guessed that. HTML has been a computer thing for us since we first heard of it. The things people come up with!

Not really smarter…more curious maybe. lol I poke around in a little bit of everything. I know just enough coding to be dangerous!😁

Probably even less know what HTML is now since so few people build their own websites or blogs these days.

  9. Tails Around the Ranch – Denver, CO – The inspiration behind this blog was one knuckleheaded Standard Poodle named Sam but is now inspired by a House Pony-Wilson. I'm Monika, the upright. I love learning new things. I wonder what difference it would be in 2026. Love and hugs, my friend. 🙂

  10. Pat says:

That just goes to show that even though we have whole encyclopedic knowledge available on our phones, some never take the the time to look things up and learn !

  11. AtCraftyCottage
    Kristen Osborne says:

That is both hilarious and such a perfect example of how our brains handle unfamiliar acronyms.
It’s fascinating how quickly we categorize unknown tech terms into whatever feels familiar, even if it’s wildly off-base.
Now I’m picturing someone nervously Googling whether HTML is contagious… which, of course, requires HTML to load the page. 🙂

If HTML were a “disease,” I imagine the symptoms would be:
    – An uncontrollable urge to fix formatting
    – Mild irritation at broken links
    – Eye twitching at Comic Sans
Transmission method: prolonged exposure to early 2000s MySpace pages.

The human brain is brilliant, efficient, and occasionally ridiculous.

    Suzette Benjamin says:

It is amazing how little we know about the technologies that drive the world’s systems in everyday life. I hope those folks who did not know what HTML means have been suitably informed (perhaps by Google…lol!). Thank you, Sandee.

Wishing you a great Wordless Wednesday and the rest of the week.

Much love and hugs to you, dear friend.

  17. Lydia C. Lee says:

1 in 9? That can’t be right. There has to be an age skew – but I’m old and I know so I imagineit has to be people older than me that don’t know. Surely everyone does coding at school now so they ‘d know?
That’s a pretty fun fact if it is true

    • Sandee – California – Home of Awww Mondays, Happy Tuesday, and Wordless Wednesday.

It was in 2014 so I think the numbers wouldn’t be that high now. Happy day and rest of the week. 🙂
