Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and Iโ€™ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Australia is Wider than the Moon

The moon sits at 3,400 kilometers (2,113 miles) in diameter, while Australiaโ€™s diameter from east to west is almost 4,000 km (2,485 miles). Source: We Are Teachers

Wow, what an superb fact, Sandee. It’s remarkable to think that one continent is larger than the sun. It’s also a humbling reminder of how amazing, our planet and home, Earth is. Happy Wordless Wednesday, dear friend. Much love and hugs to you.

I have a very good friend who lives in Dubbo, NSW. She is from VA went to Oz in the 70’s to teach for one year…loved it so much she stayed. I so enjoy all the stories/experiences she shares.
She lives about 2 miles one of the zoos. She can often hear the animals early in the morning.
Torranga (not sure of the spelling) zoo. She often sees Roos when she and her dog Roxy are taking their EMW (I borrowed the EMW from her). I have always been fascinated by all things Australian. Been binge watching lots of Vet programs from downunder during the holidays
    Hugs Cecilia

Interesting fact. I’m so sorry I can not remember a site in which I saw that the actual maps are not quite true, regarding the dimensions of continents. I’ll check again.
Happy WW, dear Sandee! Hugs and many thanks for the Blog Hop.โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜

I always thought Australia would be a fabulous place to visit for an extended vacation of 30 days or more. Once upon a time it was on my bucket list. That bucket has a hole in it now and many of the items are falling out.
