Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and I’ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Rubik Cube

It took Rubik a month to solve his cube. With 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 possible combinations, who could blame him? The 4.22-second time to solve a Rubik’s Cube was a former world record set by Feliks Zemdegs in 2018. However, this is no longer the fastest time, as the current world record is 3.13 seconds, achieved by Max Park in 2023, and the current fastest official time is 3.05 seconds by Xuanyi Geng in April 2025. That cube was a huge fad for a while but it still comes and goes. Mom isn’t into puzzles like that so she never had one or solved one. It is fun to watch people solve them quickly.

  7. Betty – Hello, I am Betty, the author of this blog, and this is my husband, Dan. I retired on 6/30/2018, and Dan retired about a year later, on 5/31/2019. Now that we are both retired, we plan to travel most often in our 23FBKS Micro Lite travel trailer. We also hope to travel other ways occasionally, such as taking a cruise, a roadtrip, perhaps a tour someday. In addition to travel, we like to walk, ride bikes, read, and play Scrabble. I love to write. This blog chronicles our travels in retirement. My purpose in writing this blog is: 1) to offer insight for those who may be making similar trips/adventures in the future 2) to share our adventures with family and friends who care to read and 3) to capture the memories for us. I hope you enjoy reading my blog. I hope it is uplifting, gives you a few smiles and maybe an idea or two. Comments are very much appreciated, and I will respond to all. Thank you for reading, and Happy Travels!

Hope there’s prize for being the longest because that’s where I’d excel. I’m no good with puzzles like that, give me a knotty up necklace and I’ll stick with it until it’s all nice and smooth but that colorful little block would get thrown out in the street. 😂 Happy mid-week, dear Sandee. It snowed last night and Wilson and I hope it’s the last time I have to shovel 40 acres of sidewalk. Hoping the final approval from the city comes today. 🤞🏼

      Sandee says:

I never solved it so I’d never get a prize. I hope your final approval happens today and you won’t have to shovel 40 acres of sidewalk anymore. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Wilson. 🙂

Granny remembers this most annoying cube, Sandee, not because it wasn’t fascinating to see how many could solve it, but because Granny didn’t have the brains for it, so she wasn’t able to solve it, even if she tried it a few times🙈Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and Week ahead to you, the kitties and Zane too🐾😽💞

    Lynette Arden says:

I still have a Rubix cube somewhere, along with the Turkish puzzle ring, also somewhere. I am pretty sure I solved the Rubix cube at one stage, but I put it away. The puzzle ring unthreads into a large number of joined together rings that need to be twisted and become one joined up ring. I think my brain has weakened, as it feels challenged at trying either of these tasks now. Instead I write fantastic adventures for my Russian Blue cat Sasha and make images courtesy of some AI programs. I did illustrations too, long ago and now only do digital stuff. Thanks for the blog hop. We hope to welcome a few new cat visitors, and their friends too. The current adventure shows kittens preparing to sing and dance at a concert on Fairy Day. There was an actual Fairy Day for children in my city several weeks ago, which gave me inspiration. I messed that up as the blog hop is now closed. Sorry. https://diamondcatbysasha.com/2025/12/07/costumes-for-the-principals/
