Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Make sure you leave a link to your post and Iโ€™ll visit your Wordless Wednesday post.

Rubik Cube

It took Rubik a month to solve his cube. With 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 possible combinations, who could blame him? The 4.22-second time to solve a Rubik’s Cube was a former world record set by Feliks Zemdegs in 2018. However, this is no longer the fastest time, as the current world record is 3.13 seconds, achieved by Max Park in 2023, and the current fastest official time is 3.05 seconds by Xuanyi Geng in April 2025. 3.05 second? Probably I would not seen his hands, due to the speed…
I tried once, but definitely in a much longer time…These kind of toys
are very funny to play with.
Thank you dear Sandee, for another interesting subject. Let’s play.
Happy WW and a fabulous week. Hugs and love!โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜

That cube was a huge fad for a while but it still comes and goes. Mom isn’t into puzzles like that so she never had one or solved one. It is fun to watch people solve them quickly.

  3. Tails Around the Ranch says:

Hope there’s prize for being the longest because that’s where I’d excel. I’m no good with puzzles like that, give me a knotty up necklace and I’ll stick with it until it’s all nice and smooth but that colorful little block would get thrown out in the street. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Happy mid-week, dear Sandee. It snowed last night and Wilson and I hope it’s the last time I have to shovel 40 acres of sidewalk. Hoping the final approval from the city comes today. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ

    • Sandee says:

I never solved it so I’d never get a prize. I hope your final approval happens today and you won’t have to shovel 40 acres of sidewalk anymore. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Wilson. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Cecilia Upchurch says:

OH MY CATS IT WOULD TAKE ME 3.05 SECONDS JUST TO CATCH MY BREATH SO I COULD GATHER MY COURAGE TO TRY. MOL MOL MOL
I am a huge fan of The Amazing Race. There was a rubic cube challenge this season
    Hugs x 4

I’m so with you. I never succeeded at solving this puzzle. I sure tried though. Love and hugs to you and Kit and scritches to the kitties. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Suzette Benjamin says:

The Rubik’s Cube is so fun, but it takes me days to solve even one side, and then, of course, the other sides are all jumbled up… ! I have not worked with one in a while. Thanks for the reminder, Sandee. I did not know that it took someone seconds to solve it… Wow! Happy Wordless Wednesday. Much love and hugs to you.

  6. Debbie D. says:

I had one of those and solved it twice, but it was really hard to do. Amazing that a couple of people did it in seconds! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Thanks for hosting the WW link party, Sandee. ๐ŸŒน Love the snowy image at the top of your page! ๐Ÿ’–

  7. angelswhisper2011 says:

Granny remembers this most annoying cube, Sandee, not because it wasn’t fascinating to see how many could solve it, but because Granny didn’t have the brains for it, so she wasn’t able to solve it, even if she tried it a few times๐Ÿ™ˆDouble Pawkisses for a Happy Day and Week ahead to you, the kitties and Zane too๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜ฝ๐Ÿ’ž

  8. messymimi's meanderings says:

I tried but never got it, either. There are videos now which will teach you how. Maybe someday I’ll do it, who knows, it might be fun to know how.

I pray you and Mr. Zane have a fabulous week, please give scritches to Lil’ Bit and Squeaker for me.

  9. Rosey says:

I remember It was such a craze. Everyone had a Rubik’s cube when I was a kid. It was on everyone’s Christmas list at one point too.

  10. Traveling Suitcase says:

I never had the patience to try it more then a few minutes at a time. Watching people doing kinda made me crazy. One of my daughters friends years ago was really good at it. He would do it over and over again.

  11. Lynette Arden says:

I still have a Rubix cube somewhere, along with the Turkish puzzle ring, also somewhere. I am pretty sure I solved the Rubix cube at one stage, but I put it away. The puzzle ring unthreads into a large number of joined together rings that need to be twisted and become one joined up ring. I think my brain has weakened, as it feels challenged at trying either of these tasks now. Instead I write fantastic adventures for my Russian Blue cat Sasha and make images courtesy of some AI programs. I did illustrations too, long ago and now only do digital stuff. Thanks for the blog hop. We hope to welcome a few new cat visitors, and their friends too. The current adventure shows kittens preparing to sing and dance at a concert on Fairy Day. There was an actual Fairy Day for children in my city several weeks ago, which gave me inspiration. I messed that up as the blog hop is now closed. Sorry. https://diamondcatbysasha.com/2025/12/07/costumes-for-the-principals/

    • Sandee says:

I’ve never been able to do these puzzles. I’m just not wired that way. I’m glad you figured out the Rubik cube. Sorry that you didn’t get to link up, but it’s great that you played along. Thank you for that. ๐Ÿ™‚
