Rubik Cube
It took Rubik a month to solve his cube. With 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 possible combinations, who could blame him? The 4.22-second time to solve a Rubik’s Cube was a former world record set by Feliks Zemdegs in 2018. However, this is no longer the fastest time, as the current world record is 3.13 seconds, achieved by Max Park in 2023, and the current fastest official time is 3.05 seconds by Xuanyi Geng in April 2025. I remember the Rubix Cube
I was never able to solve it. It was fun trying though. ๐
I never tried the Rubix Cube – I knew I’d have the LONGEST time record solving it vs. the SHORTEST!
Hugs, Pam
I tried, but never was able to solve it. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, Pam. Scritches to handsome Teddy. ๐
My brother was a genius with it and me, not so much.
I hear you. I never figured it out. Happy WW and rest of the week. ๐
I had one of those. I was never very good at solving it though
I never solved it, but I tried. Happy day and rest of the week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ๐
3.05 second? Probably I would not seen his hands, due to the speed…
I tried once, but definitely in a much longer time…These kind of toys
are very funny to play with.
Thank you dear Sandee, for another interesting subject. Let’s play.
Happy WW and a fabulous week. Hugs and love!โค๏ธ๐
I was never smart enough to solve it. I tried though. Happy WW and rest of the week, my friend. Hugs and love back. ๐
I remember playing with the Rubik Cube for hours. What a genius invention. Happy Wednesday, and I love your Christmas headers. Hugs!
It was a genius invention. It was something many of us never solved, but spent hours trying. Love and hugs, Eugenia. ๐
Hugs back to ya, Sandee!๐ซ
That cube was a huge fad for a while but it still comes and goes. Mom isn’t into puzzles like that so she never had one or solved one. It is fun to watch people solve them quickly.
I tried and tired, but never succeeded. A huge fad indeed. Happy WW and rest of the week. Scritches to the pups and a hug to you. ๐
I remember the Rubix cube. It still amazes me how quickly some people can solve it!
I’m amazed by this too. Happy WW and rest of the week, my friend. ๐
I still have a cube. But it took days to solve it not seconds. ๐คฃ๐๐
I never solved it. I did try though. Happy WW and rest of the week. ๐
If memory serves me right, someone I knew got so frustrated with that Rubix cube, he or she broke it apart.
I didn’t know this, but I’m not surprised. It was frustrating trying to solve it. Happy day and rest of the week, Betty. ๐
It would take me three hours, not three minutes. I’ve seen videos of some of the fastest solve times, and it is amazing. Alana ramblinwitham
It is amazing. I never managed to solve it. I did try and try very often. Happy WW and rest of the week, Alana. ๐
Just think how many treats that champion could give us in 3.something seconds!! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
I hear you. Scritches to the precious pups and a hug to mom. ๐
I found it pretty difficult to solve.
I found it impossible to solve. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, my friend. ๐
It’s fascinating; such a simple design, but not easy by a long shot!
I agree and I wasn’t smart enough to solve it. Happy WW and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. ๐
The Lady’s nephew is a rubix cube master!
Some find it so simple and people like me find it impossible. Happy WW and rest of the week. ๐
Hope there’s prize for being the longest because that’s where I’d excel. I’m no good with puzzles like that, give me a knotty up necklace and I’ll stick with it until it’s all nice and smooth but that colorful little block would get thrown out in the street. ๐ Happy mid-week, dear Sandee. It snowed last night and Wilson and I hope it’s the last time I have to shovel 40 acres of sidewalk. Hoping the final approval from the city comes today. ๐ค๐ผ
I never solved it so I’d never get a prize. I hope your final approval happens today and you won’t have to shovel 40 acres of sidewalk anymore. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Wilson. ๐
Thanks, Sandee. I received word they got an extension on the approval so we can still close and move on Friday. Whew! I’m soooo blessed. Hugs and tail wiggles from me and the Floof who’s taken to his pillow on the sofa to avoid all the boxes. ๐
I’m doing the Happy Dance with you. ๐
Mom could never do that!
I can’t do it either. I tried and never succeeded. Scritches to the kitties. ๐
It is fascinating item ~ thanks,
an artist reflects
Hugs and love to you from me and Ziggy ~ ^_^
It is fascinating and frustrating. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. ๐
What a fun puzzle box Rubik invented!
It sure was and just about everyone had one. I never figured it out. Scritches to the pups and my very best to their peeps. ๐
OH MY CATS IT WOULD TAKE ME 3.05 SECONDS JUST TO CATCH MY BREATH SO I COULD GATHER MY COURAGE TO TRY. MOL MOL MOL
I am a huge fan of The Amazing Race. There was a rubic cube challenge this season
Hugs x 4
Cecilia
I’m so with you. I never succeeded at solving this puzzle. I sure tried though. Love and hugs to you and Kit and scritches to the kitties. ๐
Those things used to drive me crazy, lol!
Drove me crazy too, Martha. ๐
Hard to believe Rubik needed a month, and now people solve it in just a few seconds. With so many combinations, it still blows my mind.
I needed years and then still never succeeded. I tried though. ๐
That cube sure could be very frustrating at times!
It was very frustrating indeed. Fun, but frustrating. Scritches to all the kitties. ๐
I had one of these and could get 2 sides done but that was it. lol I later discovered my little sister taking the stickers off and putting them in the right places. haha
That’s the only way I would have been able to solve this puzzle. Brilliant. I’m so happy you’re back and blogging, my friend. ๐
Thank you, Sandee, my friend. It’s good to be here.
I love you my Special.
I love you too my Special. ๐
The Rubik’s Cube is so fun, but it takes me days to solve even one side, and then, of course, the other sides are all jumbled up… ! I have not worked with one in a while. Thanks for the reminder, Sandee. I did not know that it took someone seconds to solve it… Wow! Happy Wordless Wednesday. Much love and hugs to you.
I never solved the puzzle and I tried and tried and tried. Happy WW and rest of the week, my friend. Lots of love and hugs. ๐
Thank you dear friend.. I have not solved it either. Have a wonderful day!
I had one of those and solved it twice, but it was really hard to do. Amazing that a couple of people did it in seconds! ๐ฒ Thanks for hosting the WW link party, Sandee. ๐น Love the snowy image at the top of your page! ๐
Way to go. I never figured it out, but I tried. Happy WW and rest of the week. Thanks for joining in. Much appreciated. Hugs, Debbie. ๐
Truly Amazing… Trying to solve Rubikโs Cube puzzles, it was hard. Loved it ๐
It was fun and frustrating at the same time. It was impossible for me. Happy WW and rest of the week. ๐
Remember them, in fact, our DIL made me one with pictures of family.
Thank you, Sandee, for the weekly linkup party. Happy #WW.
My entries this week #46-47
Hope you will join ES #WW https://esmesalon.com/tag/wordlesswednesday/ NOW OPEN
What a fun idea. I love it. Happy WW and rest of the week, my friend. ๐
all the cube does for me is add stress, I have no idea how anyone does it.
It sure added a lot of stress for me too. I have no idea how they do it either. Healing hugs all around and scritches to handsome Beau. ๐
I have never tried the Rubix cube. It is amazing how someone can do it that fast!
It sure amazes me. I would spend hours trying to figure it out. Happy WW and rest of the week, Jackie. Love and hugs. ๐
I don’t remember if I was able to solve it.
I vividly remember not solving it. I sure tried though. Happy WW and rest of the week, Klara. ๐
Granny remembers this most annoying cube, Sandee, not because it wasn’t fascinating to see how many could solve it, but because Granny didn’t have the brains for it, so she wasn’t able to solve it, even if she tried it a few times๐Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day and Week ahead to you, the kitties and Zane too๐พ๐ฝ๐
I didn’t either. I tried and tried for years. Never solved it. Double Pawkisses to you both and a big hug to Granny. ๐
There’s something weirdly statisfying watching those speed cube peeps. The dextreity and tetris like vision of the colours all falling into place.
It’s amazing indeed. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Lydia. Hugs. ๐
I knew that there was someone who finished in about 3 seconds, but I had no idea it took the creator a month to do it the first time. That is so interesting!
I found these solves amazing. I’ve spent hours and hours and never succeeded. Happy day and week. ๐
I tried but never got it, either. There are videos now which will teach you how. Maybe someday I’ll do it, who knows, it might be fun to know how.
I pray you and Mr. Zane have a fabulous week, please give scritches to Lil’ Bit and Squeaker for me.
I don’t have a Rubik cube anymore. I’ll check out the video. You and Mr. Sweetie have a blessed week. Love and hugs to you. ๐
I never had the patience for this thing but always wanted to solve it.
I tried and tried and never succeeded. Happy day and rest of the week, Cathy. Hugs. ๐
I guess it takes a special kind of brain to work such complexities. Not that yours isn’t special but I certainly can say that about mine. Why sometimes it just doesn’t work altogether. lol
Interesting fact of that cube game. I never could work it at all. Hope your Thursday is going good. <3
I never figured it out either. Happy Thursday and rest of the week, Barbara. ๐
This reminds me of a wonderful photo of my first love. On the table beside him was one of these puzzles. I never managed to solve more than two sides. lol Hugs, my dear.
I tried and tried. Never figured it out. Hugs, my friend. ๐
I remember It was such a craze. Everyone had a Rubik’s cube when I was a kid. It was on everyone’s Christmas list at one point too.
I was grown when the Rubik Cube showed up. My son couldn’t figure it out either. Runs in the family. Happy day and weekend, my friend. ๐
I was proud of myself when I did it in 4 days, 7 hours, 23 minutes and 17 seconds!
You made me laugh out loud. You often do. Good for you. ๐
I never had the patience to try it more then a few minutes at a time. Watching people doing kinda made me crazy. One of my daughters friends years ago was really good at it. He would do it over and over again.
I never figured it out and it was very frustrating to try to figure out. I commend those that can solve this puzzle. ๐
I think I saw a kid do it for a shorter time just this week on the internet. I forgot which one!
Amazing isn’t it?. I’m impressed with anyone that can solve this puzzle no matter how long it takes. Happy week, Lux. ๐
I still have a Rubix cube somewhere, along with the Turkish puzzle ring, also somewhere. I am pretty sure I solved the Rubix cube at one stage, but I put it away. The puzzle ring unthreads into a large number of joined together rings that need to be twisted and become one joined up ring. I think my brain has weakened, as it feels challenged at trying either of these tasks now. Instead I write fantastic adventures for my Russian Blue cat Sasha and make images courtesy of some AI programs. I did illustrations too, long ago and now only do digital stuff. Thanks for the blog hop. We hope to welcome a few new cat visitors, and their friends too. The current adventure shows kittens preparing to sing and dance at a concert on Fairy Day. There was an actual Fairy Day for children in my city several weeks ago, which gave me inspiration. I messed that up as the blog hop is now closed. Sorry. https://diamondcatbysasha.com/2025/12/07/costumes-for-the-principals/
I’ve never been able to do these puzzles. I’m just not wired that way. I’m glad you figured out the Rubik cube. Sorry that you didn’t get to link up, but it’s great that you played along. Thank you for that. ๐
