Wordless Wednesday

WW is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words.

For all the rule breakers, of which I am one, please feel free to add all the words you want.

Men and Shopping

On average, men get bored of a shopping trip after 26 minutes. Meanwhile, women don’t get tired of shopping until around 2 hours have passed! On top of this, it’s been found that eight in ten men hate shopping with their partner. Men who are promised a treat at the end of a joint shopping trip are likelier to pretend to enjoy shopping with their partner for longer.  Source: The Fact Site

interesting and I am sure it is true. I have always said I am more like man that an woman, I do not like shopping and when I do shop, I go straight to what ever I came to buy, and grab it and leave. I do love to sit in places where shoppers are shopping and watch them. all the men in my life have hated shopping and I did not take them with me. Daddy was the worst and now Bob is the worst.

    • Sandee says:

I’m not a shopper either. If I have to go it’s in and out. I love shopping for my groceries though. Men aren’t shoppers. Most of them aren’t. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week. Big hug to you, healing hugs to Bob and lots of scritches to handsome Beau. 🙂

  2. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

Ivor doesn’t like shopping and neither do I. It is usually a quick in and out if we have to go, but I get most things online now.

    • Sandee says:

Hubby and I hate shopping except for groceries. We enjoy that. We enjoy doing that together. Happy Wordless Wednesday, Jackie. Love and hugs. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I don’t know what the treats are either, but we can guess. I couldn’t handle shopping for two hours. Happy Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. Scritches to the pups. 🙂

  3. Alana Mautone says:

I know women who just want to get in and out. My husband detests clothes shopping but he will linger in a supermarket. I’ve never offered him a treat to go shopping, so he must be an exception. Alana ramblinwitham

I totally agree with these findings. I am not sure I ever tire of shopping….LOL. Its my hobby…Of course I did not say that I bought anything except for grocery shopping but I do like the “idea” of shopping.
Happy Wordless Wednesday Sandee. Much love and hugs to you! Cheers.

  5. Ann Thompson says:

This all sounds very believable. I will say thought that it didn’t take Wade 26 minutes to get bored with a shopping trip. He was bored the second we stepped in the store. Maybe even when we pulled in the parking lot. He was horrible to shop with.

    • Sandee says:

Some men hate shopping with a passion. It’s the way it is. Happy Wednesday and rest of the week, my friend. A hug to you and scritches to Gibbs. 🙂

  6. 15andmeowing says:

Very accurate unless they are in Lowes, Home Depot or Tractor Supply then it is the other way around. 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO

    • Sandee says:

Hubby loves those stores. I stay home. That way I’m not cramping his style. It works for us. Have a great day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂

  7. messymimi's meanderings says:

Most of the time, I just want to get it over with. My Sweetie loves running errands, and will shop as long as it takes to find what you sent him for, or what he thinks you sent him for!

I pray you and Mr. Zane have a fabulous week. Scritches to Lil’ Bit and Squeaker.

    • Sandee says:

You and I are the same. In and out and back home. I’m not a shopper except for groceries. You and Mr. Sweetie have a great rest of the week. Love and hugs, my friend. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I’m in the men group too. I’ve never liked shopping. I went with a girlfriend one time and I was in the chair waiting for her. It took her forever. 🙂

  8. Xena and Lucy says:

A treat, LOL!! For me, shopping is a necessary evil. Like some others, I buy a lot on Amazon or the Walmart app. But not clothes or fresh produce. Xena likes to go shopping at the pet store, even though she can’t eat most any of the treats they have.

  9. mjgolch says:

Sandee, and than there are those few men (me for one) that just want to be with their partner as much as possible and actually enjoy shopping with them,Cooking with them or for them. so much so that they become lost when their life partner passes away. I know Trust Me!!

    • Sandee says:

I hear you. If I have to shop for something other than groceries then I’d rather go by myself. Hubby is good about shopping, but why put him through the experience. 🙂

  10. meowmeowmans says:

I think this is true. Have you ever noticed a lot of women’s stores have “The Chair”? You know, the one where the male significant others can sit and look at their phone while they wait? Hahaha!

I was never a shopper. I know what I’m going for and I’m in and out. If I can order on line I’m even happier. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. 🙂

  12. Cecilia Upchurch says:

MOL MOL 8 in 10 women don’t want their men shopping with them.
Years ago we knew a young family with twin boys. The parents took turns taking them on shopping trips.
They especially liked going to Lowe’s with their Dad. Then one day Mom was asked if they wanted to stay home or go to Lowe’s with her. THEY gleefully said go with you. Mom was going to Lowe’s grocery store .
The boys started asking if their parent was going to Mr. Lowe’s or Mrs. Lowe’s.
    Hugs Cecilia

    • Sandee says:

I like shopping with hubby, but neither of us are shoppers. We love to grocery shop together. Hubby loves all the man stores and I usually stay home. I hate shopping for anything but groceries. Love and hugs. 🙂

  13. CAAC says:

I don’t like shopping for myself online or in stores but if I’m going to shop then I’d rather do it from the comfort of my keyboard. DH doesn’t necessarily like shopping but he enjoys shopping for me and he does a fabulous job!

    • Sandee says:

I do most of my shopping online too. I love grocery shopping and want to pick out what I’m bringing home. We both have the same great husbands. Love and hugs, Cathy. 🙂

“Men who are promised a treat at the end of a joint shopping trip are likelier to pretend to enjoy shopping with their partner for longer.”
“C’mon, hubby…there you go, good boy! Want a treat, give me your paw…hand…that’s a good boy!”

  15. kittiesblue says:

We think it is the opposite way around with our mom and dad. Very interesting statistics, however. Thanks for the insight, and especially for linking us up. I think it’s more true than not. Happy rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and a big hug to mom. 🙂

  16. Tails Around the Ranch says:

Bwahahaha…I think the real secret is men who are promised a treat at the end of a joint shopping trip are likelier to live longer. 🤣 Personally, shopping lost its allure years ago…it’s a chore now. Simple a means to an end. Like dinner. 😆

  17. The OP Pack says:

26 minutes????? Heck, our Dad is good for about 10. Mom always has to be sure she has done a pre-shopping trip to line up exactly what she wants him to see. He HATES shopping.

    • Sandee says:

Hubby used to go with me when online wasn’t such an easy thing, but he never complained. I know he wasn’t happy about it, but he would go with me. 🙂

  18. Darla M Sands says:

I need to buy new clothes but haven’t enjoyed shopping for them since getting so old and fat. LOL At least I’m still here. 😀 How awesome that your husband would accompany you!
