New Roof

Last Friday this huge truck delivered everything needed to put on our new roof. As you read this things are noisy here. The kitties aren’t liking all the noise. We can’t wait to see the finished roof.
Linking up with a bunch of fantastic peeps from the blogosphere who host Wordless Wednesday – Betty, Steve, image-in-ing, Keith, Senior Salon, Esme Salon, CatSynth, and Suzana.
We will be going through that next year……it is noisy but oh so nice when it’s DONE!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
They are working this morning and we think this will be the last day. I’m ready for them to be gone. A hug to you and lots of scritches to handsome Teddy. 🙂
It is a big upheaval, but will be lovely when done.
We’re loving the new look. A great crew working too. We picked the right roofing company. 🙂
Of course it’s been years ago: but Oh The Pain Of It On The Ears (we had puppers at that time) … but just like kitty cats, they went into hiding. Hope your “team” will be fast and furious (but do excellent work!).
Our kitties are UTB and will stay there until it’s quiet again. We’re hoping they will be done today. 🙂
Noisy and disrupting but you’ll love it when it’s all done. Alana ramblinwitham
You’re right about that. It’s a beautiful new roof. 🙂
The noise will be worth it when the roof is complete!
I agree with you, Duke. Happy Wednesday. Scritches to you and a hug to mom. ♥
It seems to be fast to replace roofs. It happens all the time around here. We are not happy about the neighbors that got a new roof up the road this week as they are messy and their trash is blowing all over the neighborhood. Normally that doesn’t happen. Enjoy your new roof.
I’m sure our neighbors will be happy when they are done too, but they clean up after themselves. We’re happy about that. 🙂
My great nephew would have loved to see that delivery with that arm on the truck. 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO
It was most impressive. We stayed outside to watch them put everything on the roof. Most entertaining. 🙂
How exciting! The noise will be worth it! Happy Wednesday. Hugs!
You’re right about that. After the roof is done the painters will come and paint the outside. Then the gutter folks will put on the new gutters. A complete facelift. 🙂
That’s wonderful, Sandee! 😀
We remember how noisy that was.
It’s very noisy. It’s worth it though. 🙂
Hooray for a new roof. I was working while they put the new roof on my house so I missed out on all the noise. By the time I got home they were almost done and cleaning up.
This is the third day they have been here putting on the new roof. We think this is the last day. Happy Wednesday, Ann. 🙂
You have a lovely house. It will be even better with a new roof. Maybe next will be solar panels?
Thank you. We love our home. Yes it will be better with the new roof. 🙂
we have been going through almost daily roof sounds since Oct 9 last year Milton came calling and removed so many roofs. it has been non stop and drives me nuts… when we had ours put on 2 years ago, it was 4 days of it and really bad on the ears
Milton was nasty indeed. We’re hoping just three days of bad on the ears. Happy Wednesday. Scritches to Beau and a big hug to you. 🙂
Oh my, hooray for a new room but those roofing humans don’t know the meaning of quiet!
It’s been noisy for three days. We’re hoping today is the last of it. It’s a beautiful roof though. 🙂
It is disruptive to get the roof done, but roofers generally get the job done pretty quickly. And at least they’re outside your house and not in it.
You’re right about that. They have worked very hard to get the roof done. We’re impressed with the employees and the company. 🙂
We can imagine how noisy it must be but it will definitely be worth it!
Yes it’s worth it. It’s noisy though. Scritches to the pups. 🙂
Whew! That’s got to be a big job.
It sure is. They sure know what they’re doing. We love the new look. 🙂
Roofers are very noisy!
They sure are. We’ll be glad when they are done. 🙂
Tis the season for home maintenance ~ always a bit noisy ~ You kitties are in good hands with Mom and Dad ~ hugs,
Hugs and love to you and your family ~ xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

They are in good hands. We talk to them during the noise to let them know everything is okay and we let them play in the evenings so they know things are back to normal. Love and hugs to you and Ziggy. 🙂
I hope things go smoothly with the new roof installation. I’m sure the kitties will forgive you once all the noise is done 😺
They forgive us each evening. So far things have gone very smoothly. Happy Wordless Wednesday. 🙂
I love you my Only. I love our Kitties and our new roof too. Your Loving Husband.
I love you my Only. Our new roof is amazing. Our kitties are amazing, too. 🙂
OMCs that is a bigggggggggggggg truck. My nephews and niece and their peeps recently endured a new roof installation and guess what…dag blasted squirrels have been gnawing on it.
I hope the installation was quick for you 4
Hugs Cecilia
As I respond to your comment the hammering is right above me. We’re hoping today is the last day. Day three. Those nasty tree rats. Bugger. Love to you and Kit and scritches to the kitties. 🙂
OMCs………………..3 days of banging and knocking…I knowyou will all happy for peace and quiet!!
A new roof is a big and noisy process. We bet the kitties don’t like all the racket. But it will be nice when it is done. Mom would tell you about the horror story here when our roof was replaced. Our house has a very high and very steep. roof. The day they delivered the shingles and placed them way up there somebody goofed. That afternoon, less than 3 minutes after the grandbipeds (three under the age of four) were picked up by their mother, all the packets of shingles came sliding off the roof and landed right where the little ones and Mom had been standing. The thought of what might have occurred if those shingles came down just a few minutes earlier is very scary. The shingles had not been placed with sufficient support. It was so terrifying to Mom.
What a horrifying accident. Someone didn’t know what they were doing. Yikes. Scritches to the pups and a hug to you. 🙂
How exciting! Sorry things are so loud, but it will be great when things are finished. Please give Lil’ Bit and Squeaker some extra pets from us. I can understand how they’re not liking that noise.
It’s getting close. Looks like one more day of noise. I was hoping today would be the last day. 🙂
Good luck with the new roof! My girls hate that kind of noise too. For them it’s who can get under the bed fast enough. I’m sure your babies are counting down until they can come out to safety again.
Both our babies are under our bed. Poor babies. One more day and then it will be over. 🙂
Thank you, dear Sandee, for the linkup and party. Happy #WW.
My entries this week #50+51
Hope you will join ES #WW https://esmesalon.com/tag/wordlesswednesday/ NOW OPEN
You’re most welcome. Thank you for all you do too, my friend. 🙂
I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t like the noise either. You have a beautiful home!
None of us care for the noise, but it was time for a new roof. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to the boys. 🙂
So cool! Lots of new roofs around here. We were spared by the giant solar panels. Grateful
Being grateful is a blessing. Happy day and rest of the week, Anne. Love and hugs. 🙂
Hope it gets done soon for the kitties sake.
Looks like they will be here tomorrow to finish up. Our kitties are happy about that. 🙂
Hooray for a new roof! It’s nice to know you are snug and safe under a good one. I pray you and Mr. Zane have a blessed and beautiful rest of the week, and give those kitties an extra treat from me for putting up with the noise.
We knew it was time for our home to have a face-lift. You and Mr. Sweetie have a blessed rest of the week. 🙂
It may be noisey now but it’ll be great once the work is finished and all the heavy equipments clears out. Hang in there. Sending you digital earplugs in ther meantime with our full sympathy.
Tomorrow is the last day. We are thrilled and so are the kitties. A hug to you and scritches to Wilson. 🙂
We bet that is really noisy having that work done. We are happy roofing never has to take place here; though, Mom and Dad have had to have a few repairs over the years. Our slate roof is now 113 years old! It is probably in better condition than our humans who are only in their 70s. MOL! We know, you won’t tell them we said that! Well, we hope you won’t. Thanks, as always, for linking us up. And thanks especially for keeping Sawyer in your prayers. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
Sawyer is always in my prayers. He’s a good mancat. Love your roof. Ours is good for 50 years. We’re in our 70s, too. Love and hugs to you, a smooch to Cooper Murphy and Sawyer and scritches to the kitties. 🙂
Wow, that’s exciting!
Looks like your new roof is going to be top quality!
Hope the work wraps up quickly and the kitties settle down soon.
Can’t wait to see the final result!
We love them new roof. The kitties did much better today. Tomorrow they will be done. Yay. 🙂
Hope today is a quieter day and the construction is going well, Sandee. Have a wonderful day. Blessing to you.
Sorry for the late reply.
They are here today. They will be done today. Yay. Love and hugs. 🙂
I wondered what the noise was!
It was loud enough for you to hear for sure. 🙂
A new roof is a solid investment!! Here’s to the happy dance for the kitties, for when it’s all over. 🙂
It was over Thursday afternoon. The kitties are very happy. Love and hugs. 🙂
Wonderful to get a new roof. We did that a couple of years ago, and they sure got it done with a lot of noise! I can imagine the kitties wouldn’t like it much. 🙂
We’re glad it’s done. The painters are next to work. We’re looking forward to that. The kitties hated the noise. 🙂
Amazing
That’s noisy work and it’s very hard work. We did our roof many years ago. DH’s dad and two brothers did the roofing. I did bravely get on the roof once to help put down a shingle but I wasn’t good at it. lol My MIL, SIL, our two girls (2 and 4) and I did what we could on the ground. It was a nice family affair. I wouldn’t want to do that again, though.
It is noisy, but worth it. All is quiet now and the kitties are happy. Love and hugs. 🙂
Wow! I’m glad things went well.
Me too. Happy weekend. 🙂
